He was in Poland and he approached my friends, my girlfriend and me in the subway and asked us if we knew how to get to the airport where the show was held. We knew the way and invited him to stay with us, to follow us. So we arrived at the airport, had some good time chatting and then entered the concert site. He got lost all of a sudden, probably because we drunk too much alcohol but I wish I had his e-mail or something - an awesome, fun guy, total freak when Metallica is considered.
Lulu was a collaboration, and I was just saying that they were busy during some time while making that album. Beyond Magnetic wasn't really an album either, it was an EP.
Man I heard that song for the first time 30 years ago.. That march rythm and that tight weave of guitar harmonies cutting through the air!! \m/ I remember I got two copies of D:A:D's "Riskin' it all" on tape for my birthday, and my cousin offered to take one into "the city" and exchange it for something else. Id seen posters on my cousin's walls and I'd heard "the unforgiven" on the radio, and I knew I needed that black tape! A few days later I had all my classmates over for a birthday party after school and it was waiting for me on the kitchen table.. I ended up pretty much ignoring the party and just devouring this album.. Untill my mom came and dragged me back to the party, yay! ;) Just turned 40 and still listen to it and all the other insane albums from back then every summer!
I see that guy at 12:30, that came all his way from Mexico to see them live, and I can stop thinking I'll be seeing them in two months and a half here in Mexico City! So fucking exciting!!!!
Because the more popular songs are in the mostly in the first half of the album. Playing the album backwards saves them for later keeping the crowd excited
People give lars the most bull crap and hate out of all Metallica Members but every time i see him in a meet and greet he seems to be the one who really goes from person to person and really connect with that person hes talking to and listens closely to every word they say :)
