Regarding an available alternative to the Ivory brushes, I've found Princeton Brush Company's Aspen line to be almost identical to Rosemary's Ivory line (though only available in even size numbers -- which is generally not a problem). (Still eager to hear about your new palette design! Thanks!)
Wind River Arts is a US distributor of Rosemary & Co brushes. Also I make a tape tab using 1 1/2” masking tape and attach it to the back of a painting panel to make it easier to put in and out of the carrier. I make sure the tab is at the top/open end of the carrier.. Works especially well when handling wet paintings.
I was going to recommend the same! They are my go-to company for rosemary in USA, great service, fair shipping, and fast as hell. Faster than England that's for sure! Lol
I also order from Wind River. Great folks and super fast! I don’t quite understand the tape and carrier idea.? Are you suggesting a simple strip of tape connected to the back of your panel then lapping it over on itself to create a non adhesive tab? With this you lower the Art into the Raymar box and retract it when you are back in the studio?
I just wanted to share that I use Schiminke Medium W to clean my brushes at the end of a session. What it does, it converts the oils into water mixable oils. At the end of a session, I dip the brush into this medium and just wash the bush with soap and water. No need for turpenoid, turpentine, minieral spirits, etc.
My Friends, please let me know if you have any questions regarding the brushes and wet panel carrier. Enjoy!
