You earned yourself a subscriber by not being a watch snob elitist. You have some watches that I probably will never buy but I totally respect and admire your attitude of not caring about what other people may think about your collection. I'm very much like you in that regard and most if not all of my pieces are affordable as well. Take care
Thanks for your great comment. This was an early purchase in my collecting history and I have moved up the scale a bit but still detest snobbery. Thanks for watching.
I have had this watch a little over a month. You are correct it is easy to over tighten the strap. I threw the keeper away. No need for it that I can see. It replaced a 6 year old Timex Field watch. I beat that poor watch to death. Date quit moving. Love the light on this watch compared to the Indiglo. For the price I do not expect it to be a 5 year watch, but I am quite happy with the look, feel, size, and features. I like simple.
I have one of these Casio Foresters. They were just on sale last week for $19.99. Should have bought another but I really don’t need it. My keeper broke after 2 years and six months. My leather is also wearing now at the pin area. I just had the batteries replaced for $5.00 and it’s back up and running fine. I don’t know why, but it’s my go to watch. I rarely wear my Rolex. I did wear my Seiko Diver and Seiko watch from the 70’s. Also, my Apple Watch just basically sits there on charge not being used much. I can’t figure out why I like the Casio Forester so much. It’s light, unlike the Seiko Dive watch and it keeps great time. Yes, Casio makes good watches that watch Snobs don’t like - too bad.
Really glad I found your video. I just got a Forester myself and was so looking forward to wear it... But the velcro that it comes with kills it for me. I must have too small a wrist, because the band is way too long! The "scratchy" part goes way too far, over the leather part, which makes it completely awkward and not fun to wear. I will definitely need some kind of new 19mm band for it. Thanks for the review!
Yes but, in my experience I think that casio's idea with the forester watch is precisely to have a band that is large and easy to attach over the clothes on your wrist , so it becomes more practical during your adventures, and easier to read. It also won't slip off your wrist too easily with the little elastic clip that comes with the band. Hope this helps 🌲
I have the same problem, I will take it to a seamstress and see if they can cut the nylon tape a little, re-glue and sew the original leather tip on it, which is part of this watch style.
great video. I need to replace my band. I bought a Walmart Velcro type band. I like it because the back of the watch lays against the cloth of the band , not the skin. Especially favorable when I get sweaty. I cant remember what size band I need. I tried to put the original band on but its very hard to do. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.
If you cant move the "keeper" youre wearing your watch too tight. As a watch wearer you should know that. Dont use that as an excuse, its a good band and watch.
A great little watch. I have had mine for 5 years and wear it continiously, all original, and it keeps time !
03:53 That feature is what i really love on analog watch, wish casio had other analog model with it..
I love that band replacement! Can you provide a link to it?

I was shocked how bright the illumination on these watch, it can bright up the whole room
Hi Luigi...love the strap...can I link your video in another forester video I created?
Good solid pragmatic review as always. I had a watch like this when I was a small boy .
Thank you for your comment and thanks for watching.
I so totally get it. It's like getting a new watch all of a sudden.
Yes, of course. You would understand. Thanks for watching.

Bro, me too! Did you change it?

One point i gave to the strap is being very comfortable.
May one ask where you bought the new strap?

I have 3 of these. The keeper is not needed due to the Velcro. I pitch them and move on.
