I made these waffles yesterday and they are delicious! I ordered the sprinkles from Amazon prior and actually already had all the other ingredients at home. The one mistake I made was doubling the recipe. I had friends coming over for breakfast and wanted to make sure I had enough (they are former collegiate athletes with big appetites). I thought that these would be the same as Belgian waffles (light and crispy) but I was wrong. These are SUBSTANTIAL waffles. One waffle is a meal - a terrific meal
I always wondered why you seem so familiar to me... and now I got it.. you totally remind me of Jess from New Girl! Totally love your personality, keep on going!
Hi. So I've been watching you for about a month and I just found out you have a cookbook??? Guess who ordered it about .72 seconds after finding out?? Can't wait! Love your videos!
Thanks Edgy Veg!! Made them for my kids last weekend and even though my sprinkles died they loooooooved them!! The only sprinkles I had on tap were the "Let's do Organic" brand. Thanks for the sprinkles link!!!
Come to Córdoba!!! It´s such a beautiful City and there is one vegan restaurant (the only one) which has the BEST wraps in the world! P.S. Yes. I totally remember those days when my parents had to make more waffle batter for us kids cause we could eat so many :)
These look amazing!! My hubby's bday is coming up and these will be perfect for breakfast. We had your pbj french toast from your cook book the day after Xmas by the way. Looove your breakfasts!!!
Your recipe videos have fabulous timing. First, it was the fondue and now it's a waffle recipe? My husband just bought a Texas shaped waffle maker yesterday. :)
Who knew today would be the day I order a pound & a half of sprinkles? Lol...thx for the link, my market doesn't have em. Guess I'll need to start sprinkling everything 😂
I have a quick question for ya...if I wanted to make these into protein pancakes and add a scoop of vanilla protein powder, would you suggest changing any of the liquid amounts??? Thanks! These look amazing, I'm weight training right now so I try to add a lil more protein to my meals to recover and feed my muscles ;-) You ROCK sista!
NG there is a good video at youtube showing exactly how to make aqua faba at home. go to youtube and search for cooking shooking aqua faba. It is a fellow from india, and he is making whipped cream from it, but he talks about freezing it etc. Someone comments they cook the chick peas in a pot and not a pressure cooker but it just takes longer. Good luck.
These are pancake waffles. Would somebody please make waffle waffles? The kind that are actually crispy on the outside, and not dense of cake on the inside. It really doesn’t seem that hard and yet
A lot of companies still use the secretions from lac bugs to make confectioner's glaze which is used for sprinkles (pretty gross and not vegan). Also, some companies add gelatin to their sprinkles (again, gross and not vegan). Hope this helps 😊
I've found that most contain beeswax and shellac as these give a hard shiny coating to the sprinkles. also just a side note, the sugar doesn't contain bone char. Bone char is just used in the filtration process of some companies but is relatively uncommon (every brand I've found in England is vegan friendly)
I have used it to make meringue in lemon meringue pie and it was really great. Also used it making some orange sweet bread. It was more dense than my friends made with eggs, but still very yummy. I think 3 TBS equals one egg.
Congratulations on your “best home chef in a series award.” You totally deserve it.
those rainbow sprinkles just make everything 100x better
You always start your video with laughing then I laugh it’s contagious

So cute! I've made many vegan pancakes before but this is definitely tempting to me to try waffles this weekend!

2:25 That's a nonstick waffle pan.
I put sprinkles in errything! 🌈🌈
😯😯 i have family in italy! I wish i could go with you😔 but ciao to all my italianos! 😘
If we make chickpeas at hime would we just save the water? How do you store it? Will this work with no oil?

Lol acting like I’m 30 and funfetti isn’t still my cake of choice
Sprinkles aren't vegan? I thought they were just sugar! What animal products are in sprinkles?
Rockclimer876 the sugar used is not vegan. There is bone char in your traditional sugar.
islandgem5 oh! Thank you!

I thought it was red dye that might be made out of carmine. ...the more you know.

Does the aquafaba have a taste at all?
not when used in cooking or baking :)
It can sometimes have a bean-ish flavour in meringues but waffle batter should disguise it!
I have used it to make meringue in lemon meringue pie and it was really great. Also used it making some orange sweet bread. It was more dense than my friends made with eggs, but still very yummy. I think 3 TBS equals one egg.
Maybe almost 30... lol. Me too, girl
