Hadn't heard of this game until the other day, but it looks like it'll be really interesting. Tripods among the snowy trees, I think it'll have some great visuals!

wow this looks really good
Strated with jeff wayne War of The worlds on PS1 and PC review Please.
In mother Russia, Siberia doesn’t get invaded by Mars. Mars gets invaded by Siberia…
And then the Adeptus Mechanicus happens.

Siberia is a save place for the martians because its just forest and cold so its a cool game story 👍
The game will no doubt have a story mode. I think a first person, where your main goal is to survive and eventually escape Siberia all the way to European Russia. Early game you will be apart of the construction of the Siberian Railway, by which time it is nearing its completion. However, its during this when the workers encounter the Martians by awakening them with TNT to clear a new section of ground for track laying. This sparks a incident, either with the builders going missing, or Russian soldiers are present, guarding the tracks, when the Tripod appears. The main character is separated during the chaos, until eventually finding himself alone and having to survive.
The game will see a sequence where you ride a train, trying to escape, whilst using artillery on the back of a flatbed as tripods chase it. Eventually, the main reaches the safety (relative safety) of European Russia when we learn the the Russian revolution has already begun as Europe is fighting for its life, with Britain, Germany, France and Austro-Hungary each attempting to fight off the Martians as fear and terror grips the world at large.
White officer's tunic is dress uniform. Soldiers and cossacs wears khaki (russian analog called 'zashchitny' - 'protective color'). The emblem on the guy's cap is hammer and wrench - traditional symbol of Russian railroad workers and engineers (and yes, it was used in Soviet era and it is used now).
I recommend you to the Kevin O'Neill Martian Tripods for a future analysis, those are my favorite Tripod designs ever made, and it's a shame that those appear in a comic and not in an illustrated version of the novel.
9:27 ballsa- I mean eggsack
The uniform could be a (malgimation) of what you stated, but could also choose white just to stand out on cam.
Yeah that's true, it 's probably just for the aesthetics.
BRO NO WAY :0
everytime I see a new war of the worlds thing my day becomes better x3
technically the what-if it wasn’t only Britain who got invaded by the tripods was answered in the 2005 movie as it said “once the tripods start to rise,no more news comes out of that area” hinting that michigan wasn’t the only place affected but the globe as a total.
13:20 Some clarification for 1C Game Studios: 1C Company (owner of 1C Game Studios) is one of biggest publishers and developers in Russia, handling distribution of games for Bethesda (and other AAA developer) games in Russia. And the first game they developed, is 'IL-2 Sturmovik' released in 2001 would later be combined with all its expansions as 'IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946' in 2006, in IL-2's "first generation" of flights sims. Second generation was 'IL-2: Cliffs of Dover', third is the 'Great Battles' series which includes: IL-2: Battle of Stalingrad, Battle of Moscow, Battle of Kuban, Battle of Bodenplatte (which is not a battle but the name the Luftwaffe's last major action of WW2, Operation "Baseplate" set late 1944 to early 1945), Flying Circus - Vol. 1, Tank Crew - Clash at Prokhorovka , Battle of Normandy and Flying Circus - Vol. 2, "Flying Circus" being the WW1 expansions/ports of Rise of Flight for Great Battles...
Some minor corrections: 1. 1C Game Studios was formed from a partnership with 1C and 777 Studios, 2. Technically 1C's first game was 'Konung: Legends of the North' released in 1999 before they acquired Maddox Games in the same year, resulting in 1C:Maddox Games which developed the first two entries in the IL-2 Sturmovik (IL-2 Sturmovik, its expansions (and IL-2: 1946) IL-2: Cliffs of Dover).
Ah thank you very much for the information! :)
this looks really good tbh
This will look very interesting. I wonder how this will play out, as I have never before seen a WOTW-like invasion set in an Asian setting. I hope this will be good, cross your fingers! I am very interested and exited.
Yeah it seems like it will be very fresh and unique!
There is a short history taking place in china and another in india. But my favorite so far is the one taking place in texas in the wild west.
As a fan of the book, I didn't expect this to happen, and I can't wait to play this game!
I've been cooking my own adaptation of TWOTW, set in an alt-history space race, where the martians invade a british moon colony
That Tripod Design Reminds Me Of This Comic I Have From The Classic illustrated War Of The Worlds By Lou Cameron
The design looks similar to the black insectoid machines from the old Eternity comic mini series. Glowing row of eyes either side of the head & blobby egg sac looking body.
It doesn't have to be an alternate 1896 because Wells set his novel in England to establish and maintain the impact the invasion had on an English citizen, but it isn't as though the Martians only went after that nation. Wells was a British citizen, and at the time England was the most powerful nation on Earth. Therefore, setting it in 1896 England gave his novel the kind of tremendous impact that setting it in post-WWII New York City would have. As for the Soviet symbolism in 1896, that would certainly indicate an alternate timeline. I wish they'd explained something such as, perhaps, Marx and Engels starting earlier or the Depressions of the 1870s and 1880s altering the global economy and toppling Empires faster than they fell in reality. A very minor to be sure, but I think it would've added more to the world building before the world destroying commenced in the game.
What's the engine for this game? It's rather important because if it's on Unity then these chaps might need to jump ship and jump ship fast.
Not sure but very good point! Hopefully they're making their own engine or using another one.
I really hope this game is good becouse It been a long time since anyone try to "The War of the Worlds" franchise into a videogame format. I really loved the trailer since it remind me of the "Resistance" games.
I remember the "Resistance" games (or the first one anyway), that's a really good comparison! I love these alternative history type of games.
Do you use discord?
It would be nice if there was an official War of the Worlds discord server.
Now I'm wondering what'll happen if the Martians invaded modern day Japan
Mecha happens.
If they are like in the book, they would be wipe out before even have time to build their war machines.
Theres been a war of the worlds craze resently even I have had some ideas of my own.
Including a what if senario were the marsians never got sick and took over earth turning small towns in to walled off farms were the tripodes could come in and harvest some humans while leaveing the rest to bread and produce more victimes.
To make it more unique and for those unconfertable with the blood sucking idea I thought it would be a good idea for the alians to farm humans for their meat like butchers do.
The player would have to find a way to escape the farm find the reble base and figure out how to fight back.
I imagine it being like bowsers fury were at certain times the tripods would appear and hunt you down, were you'd need to avoid geting spotted or hide from them long enough so they'd leave for abit before coming back later.
The longer you servive the more tripods show up and more frequently staying longer before leaving.
The Tripods use the tentacles and probs at first but if you try fighting back or resist in any way they'll pull out the heat rays and poison gas bombs.
I also had the idea that the Tripod is protected by its force field but if you get inside the shield you can target its shield generater and disabing it long enough to do damage but also force the Tripod to retreat.
His hat emblem denotes he's a sapper. So that explains the dynamite
Ahh that makes sense! Thank you! :)
How will it be played in regards of gameplay?
Not sure yet, hopefully they'll release more information/trailers as they develop it.
You should do the 1953 the war of the worlds
I will eventually. :)

1:38. But what happens when the aliens die from germs before a month has even passed? With alien tech lying scattered throughout the world?
Martian Commander: (translated)"... damn it, if I wanted to freeze my tentacles off, I'd stayed on Mars...", lol jk
Still, nice to see the events of War of the Worlds play out in a different country besides the UK and the US.
Does anyone know if there’s any recent updates? 😢
Bro you accidentally said ball sack
Uhhhhmmm, ahhhhhh,...nahhh.
If this game is being developed in Russia, I will have to pass.
Stop being a baby and go play atomic heart.
