Is 3rd gear also on that same shaft?
edit: nevermind you answer my question a minute later in the video lol. was this likely caused by low fluid level and/or brake boosting?
I’m confident rolling into boost below 3,000 RPM is the most profitable cause.
Like a diesel these cars will make crazy torque down low, but with great power comes great responsibility to diligently downshift and let the driveline stand a chance.
The shaft supports can help, but at the end of the day you really need to be 3,000+ RPM to safely use tuned MQB power
Is there a trick to getting the shift tower back in? I had it in neutral when I took it out, and have the plastic tentioner removed, but doesn't want to go back in
It’s kind of a wiggle and shake to get it aligned with all of the shift forks. Double check they’re all lined up in pairs
