This pic is perfect for this song. It sounds like a song played in a Miami or LA late 70s early 80s mega mall food court. Just as the pic shows. Complete with teal, hot pink, a little lime green lighting and decor.
Teal and hot pink would be mid-eighties at the earliest. A new shopping mall in the late seventies would have had diagonal wood paneling and orange/yellow/brown/cream wall patterns.
I remember this I live in the same town I used to go before if got torn down I remember the Bloomingdale and borders and also I bearly remember this food court
Imagine a movie where a teenager unknowingly goes back in time and they find themselves stuck in the wrong era but clueless about which one. This is the song that plays when they steal someone’s newspaper and find out they’re in the 80’s.
Imagine in a post-apocalyptic world (Fallout) where you are in an abandoned mall fighting off raiders, super mutants, radscorpions, ghouls. Looting bullets, armaments, health items...while this background music is playing. So good!
In 1989, an event known as "The Great Blackout" accrued. Out of nowhere, every electronic on the planet, from phones, computers, TVs, videos, turned off with no explanation to this day. Looting and anarchy ran rampant for years. Though electronics slowly returned to normal, the damaged had been done. Society as we know it devolved into a hellhole where it was survival of the fittest. We are 40 years into this timeline. What path will you take?
damn this really feels like me when sat in a run down diner in a dead mall after running away from home, a dead expression on my face, listening to the only worker on shift lazily clean out coffee cups and kettles u kno
The date is January 3rd, 1990. It's 9:45 pm. You're 17 years old and just leaving your part time job at the food court, walking through the mall, passing all the empty stores. Seems like you're the last one out. As you head out toward the parking lot you pass by the security guard who wishes you a good night, like always, but you never acknowledge him. He's always in a good mood, and you can never tell why. You head out into the cold January air, and wait for your 1977 chevy pickup to warm up before you finally head home.
POV: You and your friends are a gang busy planning to take revenge on your rivals from the other side of town. One of them is getting you all slushees from the machine while you, the leader starts laying out the blueprints.
It's 1979. You and your friends enter your local mall, only to find all the stores completely open and no one in there. Then, this song starts playing . Your friends all look at each other before sprinting off into stores and grabbing as much as you can. You manage to find the sports equipment store and find the roller-blade section. The rest of the night is spent listening to music and skating around the mall.
Intoxicated on so many levels, you stumble through the crowded mall slowly. Sweating with half open eyes and a barely buttoned shirt you sway trying to locate your friends. Everything is trailing and your hands look as if they are glowing. You can’t tell if you’re nauseous, but you think you are, you might be. Your legs are stiff but move as you tell them to, you can hear your breath and heartbeat. What’s that? Your ears fix on the sound of fast moving shoes, someone is calling out to you and they’re angry. Mall cops are running over with a taser in their hands. Quickly you moved through people running as hard as you can, your heart stings as your lungs start cramping. You’re almost positive this is the way you came, a strange dry powdery substance above your lip starts to saturate with sweat, wiping it away you sprint harder seeing your friends waiting for you panicked. Blackness starts to close in.. its hard to run.. you can’t move.
A woman dancing alone in a roller dance arena thing while this is playing. Add in credits as the camera pans across the empty mall and through the halls.
I have this cool idea for a movie: ok so hear me out picture this, it's almost the end of the world and this guy in an office is the only human left on earth and the last song he hears in his office lift/elevator is funky town and he spends his whole life in the elevator dancing to the song (its a comedy)
Pov its day 10 since the zombie outbreak has wiped out all of amarica while other countries sit back and relax due to them retracting fast and containing everyone within the walls until a cure is found. You and your group goes to a mall to find food and this plays. Minutes later you hear hundreds of zombies coming your way. This might be the end for you but are you going to let that happen?

I wasn't even alive in the 80's but this makes me feel like I'm disassociating in the middle of a shopping mall with way too many bright colors
How this was ALWAYS meant to be played 😍😍😍
This song reminds me of Shrek the movie
the fact that it's from Shrek is the only thing I can think of when I hear this song

You are alone in the empty shopping mall...suddenly, this music starts playing and Shrek comes dancing out from the shadows.
Do Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up. In an empty shopping mall.
Is it still a Rick Roll if no one is there to hear it?
Jason Peterson maybe
Or Ashley Tisdale's cover version if available
I think this picture is of the old eatery at the White Flint Mall in Rockville, MD if I'm not mistaken. Abandoned for years, demolished in 2015.

I wish I could listen to this song normally again but I keep thinking of the Mexican Cartel when I hear this shit
Reminds of that time I went to Shoe Carnival when I needed new shoes for school.
The last time I went there; they started playing Sh boom. (aka that one Cars song)
damn this really feels like me when sat in a run down diner in a dead mall after running away from home, a dead expression on my face, listening to the only worker on shift lazily clean out coffee cups and kettles u kno
music alone, even without a picture, is enough to imagine the mood. Mine, although slightly negative, because the empty center is nice and cozy.
Why not a roller disco
This feels so real..
All I get is flashbacks
Not my childhood mall being used as the still image-
Classic 90's 😎👍
Imagine being in a retro vintage bar
this is how i want to spend my apocalypses, in an abandoned mall eating sour patch kids while rocking out to this song and having the time of my life.

Day 5 of lockdown: I’m currently playing this outside and the neighbourhood has never been ghosted than before.
it’s nearly 2am and this makes me strangely creeped out and paranoid
All I can see is the low quality fish spinning for 10 hours lol
This gives me severe anxiety for a reason I can’t explain
These types of videos always have the exact same effect on me.
This is what all the malls sound like during lockdown lol
I could imagine dancing in that mall
It doesn't sound as echo like as some make in those dead mall videos. Those are really haunting.

Can you do Always Something There To Remind Me by Naked Eyes in an empty mall?
Btw this is an image of white flint mall before it was demolished a few years ago
Imagine getting tortured by the cartel to this...
😂😂😂😂😂😂
You start vibin then hear faint footsteps behind u
Actually, I don't think I've ever heard the non-tinny public speaker version of this song
*starts dancing like rachel*
When you get taco bell ad when you live in a country with no taco bell: (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`)
Imagine fighting zombies listening to this man
This reminds me of eating lunch at the hollywood themed burger king in Douglaston Queens NYC when I was a kid
A woman dancing alone in a roller dance arena thing while this is playing. Add in credits as the camera pans across the empty mall and through the halls.
somehow I just imagined my dad eating some fast food with that music in the background in the 80's
White Flint Mall, rockville maryland. This place was childhood for a while
I love your uploads! It’s like my new favorite thing to listen to 👌🏼 Any chance of doing “I want to know what Love is” by Foreigner?
the store will close in 10 minuetes.
This really cracked me up and idk why
All this picture needs is an Orange Julius sign.
this is what you hear at the one open mall in the city during the coronavirus
Do Smash Mouth's ''All Star'' next
*pans to dead bodies*
I would love to be in a mall that looked like this
There was, White Flint Mall in Maryland. 1977-2016
On the chair I can see a lonely ghost, crying while he stares at his phone.
Feels like it's being played through Poundland headphones
This is really scary for some reason... I have some serious goosebumps
May you do “Do You Think I’m Sexy” by Rod Stewart please?

this looks like Starcourt Mall from Stranger Things
this has a scary ass vibe
i would dance around like crazy
POV:A drug cartel is taking You To The Bathrooms
No ☹️☹️☹️ don't remind me I'm only here for good vibes
Imagine a gunman shooting up the mall then this song starts to play
dammit, I think I've been to this mall too. even though I'm sure I probably haven't.
New Order's Everything Gone Green in another room.

*something doesn’t feel right*
If only the Staunton Mall had flair again...
And then the SPINNING CHIP OF DOOM appeared!
mmm some good old liminal space music

How do you get the sound effect/ get it to sound like it splaying through and old speaker?
this made me laugh so hard
Where is this mall

When Shrek passes by on the high way
I was alive in the 1980 it was fun .
Should do a empty Walmart one

Where is this mall is it a real place
This reminds me too much of a certain Liveleak cartel video...
Ever wonder what a screaming skeleton looks like?
W-Why did we have to bring that up here? Just, why?!
Never again.
Can you do "so many men, so little time" in a empty mall?
YES!!
Lowkey terrifying. Sounds like Freddie fazbear is about to get you
Shrek 2 vibes
