Earlier this year Twin Galaxies conducted a deposition of Billy Mitchell, and it's one of the funniest things ever. Today we will look at the highlight. Billy gets caught in a massive lie, and gets completely destroyed.

I'm beginning to think Billy Mitchell might not win his lawsuit.

  • @bananieldiamonds1921

actually the joystick WAS black, but Billy played so fast that it started glowing RED HOT

  • @peterthesneakybastar

I cannot fathom how there’s actually people are defending him. It’s either complete denial or they’re purposely lying

  • @darkreyule

The best speed runs lately are when we all click on when Karl posts a Billy Mitchell video

  • @TSastronomy

"never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake" what's fascinating in this case is Billy is his own worst enemy and constantly interrupts himself

  • @just9911

We need an annual “Red Joystick” awards show for that year’s worst cases of cheating.

The most puzzling part of this whole series has been finding out Billy has fans lmao.

  • @ElectronicWitchcraft

Look Karl, it’s really simple. Imagine you were an original DK machine and you were in the same room as the video game player of the century. Now imagine he strolls over and lays his hands on you… would your joystick change colour?? I know mine would.

  • @hiramsiqueiros9018

the chances of a red joystick ruining your life are low, but never 0.

I'm a lawyer, and must say that this was a well-conducted deposition. You're right in saying that you don't want to make a big deal about anything or spring "gotchas" here. You want to nail down the relevant testimony and be able to impeach when the time comes. It is really tough for most people (and even a lot of lawyers) to simply keep their cool and act methodically under these circumstances.

Karl just spoonfed his haters info exactly like this lawyer did to billy and chokeslammed all of them in exactly the same way. Masterclass.

There’s a subtle moment that I love - the lawyer comes across like he doesn’t understand what an authentic cabinet is, and Billy buys into it, he’s very dismissive with his answers, little eye contact etc. When the main photo is revealed and the lawyer asks outright if Billy played an 8 way, Billy finally gives the lawyer his undivided attention, understanding that the lawyer perfectly understands all the jargon. He’s staring at the lawyer with real venom when he realises the lawyer understands what a plunger button is, what an 8 way is etc. very subtle but very damning.

Billy is such a good gamer he just speedran his own trial, what a legend

  • @LunaMinuna

This feels like Ace Attorney where we know the person is lying but we have to pan it out so they can do this entire break down monologue

  • @Chaud31423

The fact that Karl kept that secret for so long, despite how much of a smoking gun it is, is a testament to his professionalism.

  • @secondakira

Red herring: Something that seems important, but has no real significance

  • @draconis17

man, apparently I would be a terrible lawyer because I would NEVER be able to resist revealing his lies as soon as I have the chance.

  • @LampHatScott

That Billy Mitchell defender sounded like he was about to cry.

  • @thefongz2931

I dated a pathological liar once for three years. It was an absolute emotional rollercoaster, exactly because you just don't want to believe that such a thing could exist. Surely a human being would not lie about this stuff; would not pile lie upon lie; sometimes lying to get out of other lies and sometimes lying for no reason at all, just because that's what they do. Stepping back from it, you want to feel sorry for these people - they really do have a pathological problem. On the other hand, fuck that shit I never want it anywhere near me again so long as I live.
