Splash Mountain Sights & Sounds - Disneyland Ambience [4K POV]

Today's the last day to ride Splash Mountain at Disneyland before it closes to become Tiana's Bayou Adventure. To celebrate this attraction, here is footage of the ride's logs floating down to the Laughing Place, as well as ambience and music from the area.

I remember when they built Splash Mountain and Bear Country became Critter Country. Zip a dee doo dah was a Disney anthem. I’ll miss that happy song the most 😢 Thank you for your beautiful recording ❤

This wasn’t just a ride in a theme park for me. It was really important in my life. I had very dark times for many years and I would just think about this ride and listen to the music and pull myself through those times. A few years later I would go every weekend and it kept me going. Kept me wanting to live. I know it’s dumb to be so attached to a ride and a theme park but i needed it in my life.
When I was a kid and teenager my dad and I had a terrible relationship that was abusive. But Disneyland was where we had happy memories. When we were there everything was magical and we were bonded and happy. Splash mountain was our favorite. We would point at the bear butt and yell “butt” as we went down. After the big drop he would always flick the water on me playfully. Here we were happy. It was our happy place. Our record was 8 times in a row to go on it.
I have dreamt of bringing my kids here when I grew up. Now I have kids of my own and I don’t know if we will. This company has become something completely different now and I can do nothing about it. I’m deeply upset that my happy place has been taken away from me.
Not that anyone asked. But tonight I’m sitting here crying about it and I needed to just get it out.

You did a wonderful job capturing the atmosphere of the area around Splash Mountain. I love videos like this. Someday if you ever get the opportunity, I'd love to see you do a Sights & Sounds video for Matterhorn Bobsleds capturing the sounds of the Matterhorn and the bobsleds coming down the mountain. Anyway, thanks for all you do.

I never went on this ride but I'm sad that's it is going away soon but this was a nice video the ride looks fun splash mountain will always be in everyone's hearts ❤

I’m politically conservative, so I’m “supposed to be” upset that Songs of the South is going away.
I’m not.
I also have a black daughter, so I’m thrilled that my baby can see at least one Disney princess that looks like her when we visit the park.

So long and hello Tiana. But i wish Tiana had another ride bc I hate the drops in SM. I wish Tiana had a ride like snow white. Smh. But I will do it afraid and thats it.
