The bass intro to this song is one of the best! Plus, only Lemmy could effortlessly get the the word 'parallelogram' into a raucous rock 'n' roll song.
Philthy got into a fight and broke his hand. He had to duct tape his stick to his hand to make the show. Very rock and roll. I wonder if he ever forgot his gum.
I remember when I saw Motorhead at the Opollo, many years ago. He did a 10 minute drum solo and he was absolutely fucking amazing. I'll never forget it ❤
@@JohnSmith-rk6jy he's got a weird straight-ahead swing, just leaving out the fourth hit on the hat, it's awesome. Early Black Flag did the same thing. TAdada, TAdada
Lyrics: Sunrise, wrong side of another day Sky-high and six thousand miles away Don't know how long I've been awake Wound up in an amazing state Can't get enough and you know its righteous stuff Goes up like prices at Christmas, Motörhead Remember me now, Motörhead, all right Brain-dead total amnesia Get some mental anaesthesia Don't move, I'll shut the door and kill the lights I guess I'll see ya all left behind All good clean fun, have another stick of gum Man you look better already, Motörhead Remember me now, Motörhead, all right My, my, my, my, my, wahhawah Fourth day, five day marathon We're moving like a parallelogram Don't move, I'm certainly gonna kill the lights If I can't be wrong, I must be right I should be tired, and all I am is wired Ain't felt this good for an hour Motörhead, remember me now, Motörhead, all night Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Motörhead, remember me now, Motörhead It's only you now Motörhead Motörhead Yeah, yeah, yeah
Lemmy was many great things and a big part of my formative years. I was there with buzzing ears when no sleep was recorded and I still have a twelve inch single of this song. But alas, he wasn’t immortal as his present state testifies. A very sad loss to the world of music, individuality and fun. Everything really was louder than everything else for a satisfyingly long time. Now all three of them who signed my denim jacket in north London in the early 80’s have left us and already the world is going bonkers. Sunrise, wrong side of another day......
I’m still watching!!!!!!! I’m still listening!!!!!!June10th 2020 and will never stop!!! Who else will not let Motörhead or Lemmy or any of em Phil Eddie Phil Mickey dee!
Yes, he is missed, but come on: He was old, ill and his body was a wreck. Did you expect him to become 120 years old, still rocking, drugging, drinking, sexing? There was no dignity in his ending. Should have finished Motörhead at age 60 or 65 and write books instead, because telling stories was his second great talent. People would love his books, even the ones who are not into his music. Lemmy was such a wise guy, it is a pity, that he was stubborn enough to go on motörheading until all world could witness his decline.
I was walking thru the Rio at 3 am trying to find my room n saw a dude wearing lemmys jacket n hat n walked closer n sure as shit it was lemmy playing the slots! He had a 2 inch stack of tickets in his left hand and pulling the slots w the other. I said lemmy !!! What's up my man. He started talking no clue what he was saying then he grabbed my gf by the waistn pulled her on his lap I said on no he's taking my girl !! We took a pic I still have it but that was I think 2016 so he was looking really old n pale but he still was going hard. Still tweeking till his last day😅 legend
I always figured Lemmy and Iggy would outlive the apocalypse cockroaches..and nobody thought id see 25. I'm 36. Lemmy and Bowie died the same damn winter if I remember.. hope iggy's got enough meth left in that corpse of his to keep wigglin around enough to keep mothafuckin rocknroll still rolling a while
this footage fuking rocks - the audience has no idea what just hit 'em. awesome front man for a legendary rock'n'roll band. Lemmy you are god and will be missed by all fans of metal and music alike. R.I.P. ps Look for me on the other side - front row - stage right. I'll be the nerd wearing white. peace.
I saw Motorhead at the San Bernardino Swing Auditorium with Ozzy in July 1981. I was 15 years old smashed up against the front of the stage. Priceless.
I love when Lemmy shows his middle finger, and Philthy Animal continues playing even after kicking his drums all over the place. Motorhead, remember me I'm Motorhead, all right!
also, In February 1976, deciding that two guitarists were required, the band auditioned "Fast" Eddie Clarke. Wallis, who was continuing to tour with a reformed Pink Fairies, quit immediately after the auditions and Clarke remained as the sole guitarist. This trio of Lemmy - Clarke - Taylor is today regarded as the "classic" Motörhead line-up
Now they're all gone, R.I.P. Lemmy, Philthy, and Fast Eddie, and thanks for the incredibly great music you shared with us. You were definitely a one of a kind band, one we will never see again. I am so going to miss you guys. I will remember you.
This masterpiece is from the greatest album of Motorhead No sleep 'til hammersmith from 1981! That sound is fucking awesome! I've got that album since I was 8 years old. And it is still the best!
@federtm This clip has playback in it, the music is from the "no sleep 'till hammersmith" album. Many tv-clips and videos of Motörhead from this era has playback in it which is clearly recognisable by rhythm guitar being present and Phil hitting cymbals whitout any sound and using the hi-hats but it sound like a ride cymbal etc.
Super,ça me rappelle l'année ou j'ai découvert MOTORHEAD à 13 ans. avec ce bon vieux Eddie!! Putain le temps passe!!!! 31 ans! Merci thedude4551 pour la vidéo.

Could be right Mick, I hope you are. Still superb , Motorhead are to the death. Lemmy is one of those people who are worth listing to, If I need a lift some words from Lemmy usually does the trick or some half Man half biscuit.
What a din !! One if the best bass players ever reduced to that !! For you younger folk, go listen to Space Ritural, Hawkwind's double live album from 1972/3 ... now, that is bass, enjoy....
@spredthefunk I think what matters is who played on the albums, therefore, Lemmy, Philthy and Fast Eddie played on the first album thus making them the original and beloved lineup of motorhead
jesus christ the vibe is fucking amazing this song just makes you wanna fucking bang your head like crazy too bad i didnt get a chance to look at this god live
could this have been lip synched? sounds very suspiciously, exactly like the recording of this tune from the "No Sleep 'til Hammersmith' album....just wonderin'....
You can sense how loud these guys were. It was an all out, amphetamine fueled freight train plowing through without mercy. Fast Eddie's got some of the best sounding distorted guitar with that brass pick guard giving the pickups that distinct noise that was his trademark.
This is great! my band toured with them in a bus in '77 and they'd just put out the album. This song opened the set each night as it did the album. A feckin ton'o'fun till Phil broke his fist on the T,M's face....so they had to go back to London. Lemmy was well broke-up about that. Obviously they couldn't do anything for a couple of months at least and they'd really connected and consolidated the sound right up 'til then. A real bummer for Lemmy... IMO, the best Motorhead line-up.
wallis and fox. They recorded sessions at Rockfield Studios in Monmouth with producer Dave Edmunds, during which Fox proved to be unreliable and was replaced by drummer Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor, a casual acquaintance of Lemmy's. Their record label was dissatisfied with the material and refused to release it, although it was subsequently issued as On Parole in 1979 after the band had established some success.
Mega-Fuckin-Awesome vid!!!!....Motorhead at their best....Lemmy, Phil & Eddy ... the clasic lineup.... oh yeah , one more thing, FIRST COMMENT!!!... \m/
The only song that I know that contains the word 'parallelogram'!
Well spotted sir! Well spotted.

Yeah good catch!
True, abstraction:)
Yeah you and me both
The bass intro to this song is one of the best! Plus, only Lemmy could effortlessly get the the word 'parallelogram' into a raucous rock 'n' roll song.
Get some mental anesthesia 😅
The sound of the bass is 👌🏻
One of my all-time favorite drummers. I wish Phil Taylor would get more recognition.
Loooooovve the way he uses the tophat. Like no other. Not so much in this tune but in others.
Philthy got into a fight and broke his hand. He had to duct tape his stick to his hand to make the show. Very rock and roll. I wonder if he ever forgot his gum.

Goes up like prices at Christmas, Motörhead
Remember me now, Motörhead, all right
Brain-dead total amnesia
Get some mental anaesthesia
Don't move, I'll shut the door and kill the lights
I guess I'll see ya all left behind
All good clean fun, have another stick of gum
Man you look better already, Motörhead
Remember me now, Motörhead, all right
My, my, my, my, my, wahhawah
Fourth day, five day marathon
We're moving like a parallelogram
Don't move, I'm certainly gonna kill the lights
If I can't be wrong, I must be right
I should be tired, and all I am is wired
Ain't felt this good for an hour
Motörhead, remember me now, Motörhead, all night
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Oh, we know. hahahahah

Rest In Peace, Lemmy and Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor.
Terrence Kelsey rip
Terrence Kelsey and Fast Eddie who just recently passed.
Shook me to my soul when he died, still hurts to this day, R.I.P. Lemmy

If that ain't the way a rock band is supposed to look and sound like I don't know what is?
You got that shit right 🤘
It's awesome how the drums keep playing after Philthy knocks them over haha. Such is the POWER of MOTORHEAD!
This song is much better live than on it's studio version debut. Louder, faster and tighter lineup.
And that bass sound on the intro!
Yes, except they're actually miming here.
this footage fuking rocks - the audience has no idea what just hit 'em. awesome front man for a legendary rock'n'roll band. Lemmy you are god and will be missed by all fans of metal and music alike. Always loved that wall of guitars sound from Fast Eddie!!! RIP
I saw Motorhead at the San Bernardino Swing Auditorium with Ozzy in July 1981. I was 15 years old smashed up against the front of the stage. Priceless.
LOL at the ending. That's Motorhead for ya! If you hear thunder and lightning, that must be Lem, Phil and Wurzel doing a soundcheck! Hail Motorhead!!
Or in this case Fast Eddie
That ain't wurzel, yo.. rip Eddie. And the rest. Fuck.
I love when Lemmy shows his middle finger, and Philthy Animal continues
playing even after kicking his drums all over the place.

RIP Lemmy, inventor of Punk Metal.
Yep. Punk Metal, aka Thrash Metal.
Btw, they also invented Speed Metal and Extreme Metal.
Aw damn its mimed, was really convinced it was live
Still a sick video
It's crazy to think that this was original made for Lemmys original band Hawkwind
He will be missed. A sad day indeed.
You know you're dealing with a drummer God when Philthy Animal Taylor manages to still play the outro without any drums.
They're immortal
R.I.P Lemmy, Eddie, Phil.
Excellent, Motorhead beginnings, un document quand le métal croisait le punk. Lemmy impérial. Speed !
Thanks for all, Lemmy the King! \m/ R. I. P.

lemmy - bass and vocals
larry wallis - guitar
lucas fox - drums.

Amazing song...
Best of Motörhead is Motörhead :-)
could this have been lip synched? sounds very suspiciously, exactly like the recording of this tune from the "No Sleep 'til Hammersmith' album....just wonderin'....
No, because when he moves his mouth away from the microphone, his voice gets quieter
You can sense how loud these guys were. It was an all out, amphetamine fueled freight train plowing through without mercy. Fast Eddie's got some of the best sounding distorted guitar with that brass pick guard giving the pickups that distinct noise that was his trademark.
