Very relaxing watching you sew. Beautiful quilt too. ❤❤❤❤❤
Synonyms for “fun” - pleasurable, enjoyable, diverting, pleasing, delightful, entertaining, convivial. All of which i feel with every block I make. Fun just doesn’t convey it adequately. I adore everything you design Lori. So creative and innovative.
I’m obsessed with you Lori 🤣 from the antique irons to how you have figured out how to use all the antiques in your everyday life❤️ my idol. All I want now is to go to an antique shop now lol
This quilt is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. It's the first time I have wanted to make something and not change a thing, except I am using the handkerchief fabric for the back. I couldn't leave out my favorite fabric from this collection, it brings all of the colors together so perfectly. I'm pretty nervous working with so many circles and even tried out a snowballed shabby center instead of the circle, but it just wan't as pretty, the circles really make it special. Thank you Lori for sharing your beautiful creation so we can each make one of our own!
This is the first quilt I’ve ever felt so passionately that I want to make. I’ve never quilted before and am a newbie . It’s breathtaking! I hope here in the Uk I can get all the supplies and fabric. Such a wonderful teacher Thankyou for the joy you bring Lori 🥰
Lori Holt is such an amazingly talented women in the quilt world. She's so creative and organized. Love all her creations!
Love your applique technique Lory and showing us your hand stitching! This is something I am very much looking forward to sewing! Beautiful quilt💜
The fabric I received for Lori Holt's sew along so far proved to be great. Would recommend
I LOVE this fabric and absolutely adore the embroidery fabric...reminds me how I loved my mothers and grandmothers table cloths etc 💐
Wonderful, wonderful! I especially love the idea of embroidery patterns on the wide backs!!
I bought that backing fabric with the old vintage embroidery patterns. Oh my gosh the memories that came back I remember seeing those patterns as a child growing up being embroidered and pillowcases and tea towels love it.
Wow Lori, you look great! As with all your quilts, this one is fabulous! I love the fabrics!

I love Lori Holt vintage designs!! The handkerchief design reminds me of my Grandma's pretty handkerchiefs. 😊
Yet another gorgeous quilt!! Genius!!!!
I love this fabric! Reminds me so much of my own grandma and her tied charity baby quilts, and her embroidered blocks with lovely flower varieties on her special quilts.
Thank you for a wonderful tutorial! I love all your quilt projects and crossstitch patterns.

Lori, with the handkerchief prints, did you make a tied quilt for our bed....I love that idea. Oh my gosh, I could sit and listen to all your stories about being around while your grandma and granties ( I call great aunts Granties) chatted and pieced and quilted ❤️❤️❤️ they passed on some wonderful ness to you
I love your work so much! My grandmother taught me to sew and it brings back wonderful memories of her!
Hello Tina
I’m fascinated by your gorgeous designs.
Love this video Lori. So helpful. Thank you.
It's beautiful, and does so remind me of Grandmother and Great Grandmother. I would never have the patience to do this quilt, Or I would have to machine applique with a small zig zag. So lovely.
love lori's designs reminds me of my grandmother
Very nice quilt. Lovely and so fresh with the flowers on the round circle ... and very well explained and detailed video on how to make it
Love it!! Thank you for the lesson.💞
Cute garden quilts and very useful video on applique. I have a few quilts to finish and then I might do one of Lori's quilt.
원단들이 밝고 귀여워요~♡ 귀여운 퀼트와 원단이 정말 멋지게 어울리네요~👍👍

Hi Linda
What a pretty quilt. TYFS.
I love, love, love it!
Fabulous video. Thank you!
Hello Sharon
Gorgeous!!!
Lori. I had to laugh. You talked about a board for each block. I’m making a 6” block of a 12 petal Dresden blocks for a king size bed. I don’t think I will have my husband make 300+ design boards. I have 11 loaded with baby doll clothes for my granddaughter. Thank you I am having lots of fun. Blessings
What an informational GREAT tutorial.. i learned alot.. thank you...
Hi how are you doing
Just found this tutorial it is awesome I am new at this so I will take my time but your quilts are fabulous

I would love to have Lori’s blouse. Great design. I hope there is a pattern somewhere and I also love her quilt.
Hello grace
Olá sou Sandra e moro no Brasil adorei seu trabalho
Sew fun!❤️
Hi Stephanie
She has beautiful designs
I love this quilt.
Can you machine applique, instead of hand sewing?
Love this process. What type of interfacing do you use? Thanks, Susan
I guess I'm weird after I saw your videos, being a quilt maker too, I have now over 200 design boards of all dif sizes lol!
Love the beautiful, colorful designs; and your dry iron! Where did you find that treasure?
Hi Nancy
I have a question Regarding the circles behind the flowers. What if I just want to put the flowers on a block with no circles. What would you suggest to use for background fabric? Should I go more plain for the background fabric.Would the flower background fabric make everything look too busy? And would the flowers just get lost in it. What would your suggestion be for background fabric for using squares, instead of the circles.
Is there an SVG option for purchase for the applique cuts instead of buying the templates?
Edith Monteith it’s a special file that one can use in any number of electronic die-cutting machines. For this specific purpose it would be a file the included all the exact same templates with exact sizes etc as the packaged version only one would buy that file
Спасибо за мастер- класс!
Hi Lori I love what you do and I would like to ask you where and how much I buy of each of the fabrics I want to make this project and I appreciate what you show us and for your time I am from Colombia but I live in Miami Florida, I am very excited with everything you do
Спасибо за видео!
thanks Lori for sharing this lovely quilt. I would love to know how to order the necessary things to put this together. My granddaughters would love it. 💕
Hi Gail, If you do an internet search for Granny's Garden Quilt Kit, there are still shops that have the kit available for purchase:)
Lori, your top is beautiful! Love the color. Do you know where you purchased it?
😍😍😍
After looking at some other videos I see that Laurie has done quite a few quilts. How would I get the materials and all the other supplies that would be needed for any of the older quilts. For instance like farm sweet farm and the one something about baking? Is there a link to where all of the supplies can be purchased from? That would be awesome if there is.
Beautiful quilt.
If you do not have Aurfil thread, what kind of thread should I use.
I will be machine appliquing my patterns.
Should I use embroidery thread?
खूप खूप सुंदर.
Just beautiful and a true heirloom quilt. If this is going to be used often, would you recommend machine applique?
I’m new to this sew a long. Very pretty prints. Where would I buy everything I need to make this quilt or any of the others?
reta strong fatquartershop.com for this kit. Do a search for the quilt name. The kit is approx $165 USD. I got all the templates, rulers, buttons, etc on Amazon bc it's cheaper than the quilt shops. I am not using the coordinating threads but I am still using an Aurifil 50 wt thread. 👉🏼 Be aware that if you're doing a Lori Holt quilt, you WILL spend money. If you have your own stash fabrics, you can still do this but will still need the rulers and templates and other things she shows in this tutorial. You can find her group for this quilt on Facebook. All the files are listed there.
Verla Veasey - Greenville, MS. I have 2 questions. The first is, where can one purchase the Sue Daley reposition glue? Also, I am interested in the iron you use. What brand is it and where can it be purchased?
Here is what Lori said about the iron: It’s a vintage iron and that’s all I use...I get all different kinds at antique shops.
I
Love color too Lori
Hi Lori, love this quilt ! I’m a beginner quilter so I’m trying to find out where I can get this pattern to make a small quilt or just these flowers for pillows ! I’m waiting for your sew simple shapes to come in, but I need a pattern ! HELP ! Thanks so much 😊
I love the Iron! Does anyone know what iron she is using? Where can I buy one? Thanks for any help.
gwen clark Lori collects vintage irons. You might find one on eBay. Hope that helps
Gwen Clark, I am responding to your question regarding the iron Lori Holt is using. I also read the reply. Did you ever find the iron and does it have a model or style #? I noticed the iron first time I saw the tutorial and loved it. Hope we can find one. Thanks for your time.
I checked with Lori and here is her reply: It’s a vintage iron and that’s all I use...I get all different kinds at antique shops.
Riley Blake Designs - thanks so much. I am searching now for vintage irons. The one she uses looks so lightweight. Thanks for your time.
I love Granny Garden quilt! Where can I get pattern? Thank you for your help!!
So is there a video every week to go along with a different block that will help us to make this quilt?
Not a weekly video, but Lori will have a weekly blog post that will have step-by-step instructions for completing several blocks each week. beeinmybonnetco.blogspot.com/
👍❤️😊
I’m new to appliqué and I have a question. Can you just secure the appliqué with glue and instead of needling them on, can you just use a tight quilting pattern to secure the pieces?
What do you use for your circles?
Is it background material or the Interfacing ?
Where do you find the spools? I love them!
Hello 👋
Прелесть 👍👍👍 💖💖💖 👍
Just came across this couldn't find that it is still posted on the blog? Is the stitch along still available anywhere?
What do you use for the backing of your appliqué pieces?
Me encantaría poder disfrutar de sus. Creaciones y conversaciones pero sólo hablo español, podrán subtitular sus vídeos?
Hello Nanci
Wish i could find the yardage
I got the templates but I would like to know what kind of interfacing use. Thanks
Hi Lee, Lori uses a light to medium weight sew-in interfacing
So, you are basically using a stitch like binding a quilt so you dont we the stitch, right?
Yes, that is correct:)
I’m so in love with this, but late to the party! Where can I find this pattern to make one?
Hi Lisa, if you do an internet search for Lori Holt Granny's Garden Quilt Kit, you will find shops still selling the kit.
@@RileyBlakeDesigns thanks! It sure is a beautiful quilt!
Can I needle turn? Or Is there a reason to use the interface backing?
Of course! The interface backing is Lori's preferred technique, but needle turning would also be a great option
If anyone here could guide me I'm going to thank you because I have no experience and I'm learning thank you
Where do you live? I'm in Ohio.
Hola como me puedo apuntar?
