I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; we need more virtual audio channels. I even tweeted (or x’d) about this and I got a “soon” reply from them but that was at least a couple of months ago. I can’t use this as a serious replacement for my GoXLR until this is addressed. I use more than 3 channels Rode 🙄. Add them into the mixer and not some weird RodeConnect/software work around.
Does anyone know if you can use a rode videomic ii as a usb mic and use fx effects on it? (I know it's routed to the main mic xlr input but how can you use a usb mic with fx?
Dude...it's proprietary software. Do you understand all that went in to making this work. Highly doubtful they would be able to make it work with other mics. Good God some people are hard to please
does this work on the rode streamer x ? i use the streamer x instead of this over priced machine i was only too afford the streamer x does this mean i can use my elgato wave 3 mic ?
I have been considering adding a second mic to my setup for recording purpose for my podcast in the future with my Rodecaster Duo . Been thinking about buying another procaster. also have a NT mini USB and that could open up everything for me for the 2nd mic so I use my mini or try the new XDM series
This may not fully pertain to this video but do you know how as a producer I can have a headset to monitor and talk to my commentators on a podcast interview type show when I have 4 guests already using all 4 xlrs and 4 headphone jacks??
Feature update is cool, but I'm contemplating selling my Rodecaster Duo due to an issue I have with it, where it periodically drops audio over USB until it's rebooted. Hopefully they can fix that. Already had Rode replace it and the replacement does the same thing. :/ Been using a Gigcaster 8 and that's been working flawlessly in that department, but the Rodecaster's features are so nice!
Pretty excited about the development allowing a USB mic channel. I've wondered if Rode might release a Rodecaster Duo with USB ports instead of XLR ports. This would really made it a mobile powerhouse. It is also something that my friends in the on-line teaching community have been asking me about. I'm convinced that such a beast could get some traction if available at an affordable price. I'm sorry to read about nguardian's USB experience. That is troubling...
Nah. Anyone serious about their audio uses XLR. What's the point of having a USB-only Rodecaster? You can plug multiple USB mics straight into a computer.
It's time to upgrade. There's a world of difference in the hardware between the two. It's very likely the original Pro has neither enough processing power nor memory (among other hardware requirements). They really are different animals under the hood.

According to the discord, it’s being worked on and top priority, but like you said, it’s been awhile 😊
Why?
Thanks!

The title could be rephrased as "What a pity! Only Rode USB mics now work with the Rodecaster."

the XDM'S are on Rodes compability list
The pads and ducking are great updates for me

Too bad it won’t work with the MVX2u. That would’ve been a good reason to USBify an XLR mic!

Get a bigger board with the talk back feature.
Sorry.

Good video bro!!!
I guess my Rodecaster Pro 1 won’t see any of this. 😢
