I like this game it doesn't matter the outcome. We need the practice more than anything. winning is important no matter the circumstance and i want them to win would help with some of the fans
WR is the primary focus in the portal. Too bad we are looking at WRs from G5 schools.
Most players are g5, or unproven P4. the ones that are proven at P4 are looking for big money and OU isn’t top schools for NIL
Brain dead. Go look at who else has offered them. Production is more valuable than where they’re from.
The Wide Receiver losses aren’t devastating because they were on a 6-6 team with a terrible offense. If they are veterans on a terrible offense, I wouldn’t want them back.
CFB version of roster cuts. They just need to get going with sending out more offers to big time receivers and tight ends.
It’s not really a salary cap though you can still get NIL deals that’s just revenue sharing that the school can allocate money.
You cannot convince Emmitt Jones is doing a good job. Those guys were lying to his face, they’d never do that to someone they respect. On top of that the young guys sucked ass this year. No coaching, no leadership, no development. The man needs to gtfo of Oklahoma.
A lot of those young receivers where in the right spots towards the end of the season. Our QBs were just young and didn’t get the ball out of their hands.
Did you see what he did with Jayden Gibson, making him better.
All the pressure is on OU in this 1: Navy could lose 21-0 and public reaction would be " Their opponent was bigger, stronger, and faster "

I think Mateer is going into the portal within the week as well. Washington St lost there running back and Oc coaches they lost receivers DB and running back to Portal Mateer might change his mind about playing that game I haven't heard that but if those players play it makes a difference

i think you have it a little wrong they get 20.5 mil dollar allocation but they still can use NIL so not much will Change. We need anti-trust we need a hard team salary cap. I would have a freshman salary cap as well. you had all this right we need contracts that could be 1-4 years they should be based on performance so it helps the team as well as a performing player. We need this so coaches have a chance to develop players. I think we have 78 scholarship players know which is maxed at 85 but we are over the 105 limit i think we are going for 10-12 portal guys so we will lose some more scholarship guys and some more walk-ons when said and done.

With all the receivers leaving we lose zero production from this season.

the way OU has become so discombobulated and dysfunctional is depressing. There is a deep rooted problem under BV's leadership faster we move on the better.

I totally agree. No direction re additional new offensive coaches and no recruiting of Tight Ends. This ship is sinking.
I don't think so it's the Nil changing everything the way the student athletes move they all moving different but everyone leaving making room for Sooners who want to be here and compete

The players leaving got offered less due to their inability to stay on the field and contribute. We need players who will play. Pay the ones who will actually play and not fake injury issues. Joe Jon is leaving to Purdue and will be replaced then will get some TE depth.
