But complete weapons of astro boy is butt machine guns, digibeam laser from his index fingers, infrared cutting laser from his eyes, and electromagnetic energy cannon inside his arms. From anime to anime-based children cartoons, astro boy completely evolved with advanced digital robotic systems without losing his specialities, mainly humanity-oriented characteristics since first anime season
There is also Pluto, based on Astro Boy, written by Urasawa ( Monster, 20th Century Boys, Master Keaton...). I haven't read it, but I heard it's really good.
Osamu Tezuka's range is unreal, he wrote for all demographies and almost all genres: comedy, horror, action and adventure, comedy, fantasy, sci-fi, psychological, historical, romance and other sub-genres.
Don't you check about Astroboy's blueprint in ruclips.net/video/tFhr5zQO2XA/видео.html Adopted from anime & this manga, you can see complexed internal structure also contains special remarks about real life size robot assembly predicted? You just wait until real life size #AstroBoy completely born in 2030-2040. So you're ready to interact with Astro for first time in real life? Its real life size robot will assembled by japanese roboticians
Yeah definitely the most amazing thing about astroboy its how it STILL holds up even today, you can read it and totally enjoy it and not feel like it's outdated in the themes or the art, because tezuka's style is so unique that it naturally holds up, it's quite inspiring to see that despite being decades old this work is still able to be highly enjoyable, Tezuka was truly a genius.
I think all of robots showed in all manga from Osamu Tezuka can be realized, especially Astro Boy. He's one of best manga creators, many robotic technicians in Japan may interested to develop few prototypes of Astro Boy, Uran, Astro Kitty, and many more. Also I very interested to this manga & anime, full of imaginations which may be realized. More than just a robot, Astro Boy is Japanese manga icon & humanity-engineered
Watching this video made me realize how fast an anime can be dated when comparing it to manga. In manga you have the artstyle of the author which as seen in the case of Astroboy, still holds up many years later. In anime the animation and sound are quickly outdated because of the ever-evolving technology. Just a quick thought...but an interesting one nevertheless.
I just want to read Astroboy to get the idea of what it is and then proceed to read Pluto, which is Naoki Urasawa's take on the "Greatest Robot on Earth".
Astroboy is definitely not inferior to pluto, both stories take one theme and adapt it diferently, if you think that because Tezuka's version of the pluto arc is weak because it wasn't as "mature" as Urasawa's version you're deeply mistaken.
I never said it was inferior, if anything Tezuka's might be even more mature in some ways. It's just that I wanted to see how the man that wrote Monster would take on a Astro Boy story.
Oh, yes! Astro Boy was my shit growing up. There's so many issues brought up in this manga and the 80's anime hit me hard as a kid. The idea behind robots as just just weapons or machinery by humans being tested made me like Tezuka a lot as kid, to the point of considering him inspirational. There was one volume that was particulary more odd than usual (either 21 or 22) with one boy having a crush on a girl and he meets a robot copy of herself later on after he had possibly killed her? Can't recall all of it.
Some mysteries about robot girl, Uran? This robot mostly show inside anime, starts in 1963, has long period between Uran's birth and Astro Boy's first day of his life
I usually don't pay attention to the Manga Monday videos because I am very unfamiliar with it and it scares me, but once I saw Astro Boy I needed to watch it. It is familiar to me. I know Astro Boy. I saw that Japanese anime. Much like your anime analysis videos, this might just bring me down the deep dark decent into the world of Mangos.
The origin story is an absolute masterpiece and the fact that every localization bastardizes it out of fear of scarring children is so sad. Fuck children. Make them cry and suffer and feel. I recently screen grabbed 50 images from the first anime episode of the original Tetsuwan Atom '60's run to piece together a soundless, wordless, bite-sized version of the origin story, and I'm trying to find a way to upload it. I tried Tumblr but Tumblr kept uploading them out of order. Maybe I'll try Imgur next, idk. Outside of that, the only way to get the true full emotional impact of the origin story is reading the original Manga. As good as the 2003 anime is, even the Japanese version of 'that' anime kind of undercut the impact of the origin by showing it out of order and in small flashbacks.
Why didn't I notice the fact that Rockman where's its Astro Boy inspiration on its sleeve, stomach, face and everywhere else until now? Thanks pony boy.
I recommend reading Pluto, which is a darker retelling of the "Greatest Robot in the World" story. It was written by Naoki Urasawa, the guy who wrote 20th Century Boys and Monster. It's 8 volumes long and a very entertaining read.
My only real exposure to Astro Boy has been on the GBA game Astro Boy Omega Factor by Treasure... Pretty good game as you'd expect from them! It's really hard though, I can't get very far in it...
Astro Boy wasn't the first TV anime. Mogura no Adventure(1958) is the earliest known TV anime and Instant History(1961) is the earliest anime TV series. Astro Boy(1963) is the first anime TV series with 30 minute episodes.
+Digibro +Digibro After Dark I know you probably don't wanna talk about SAO anymore but there's this channel called Xoh that's dedicated himself to trying to debunk you and Mothers Basements SAO videos and I was curious if you would talk about them or rebutt them.
"Eromanga-sensei podcast is gonna be delayed for a few days this week cause connection in this hotel is too inconsistent for podcasts :(" from Digibro twitter
+digibro after dark, hi im a super huge fan of astro boy and ive just started collecting astro boy stuff a few weeks ago but ive looked in every library, 2nd hand and 1st hand book shop in my area but i cant find a single copy of the astro boy manga anywhere, could u plz tell me where u found that book?
*1980 because not too complex, but still contains full story. First colored season of astro boy launchs after first play of Kimba the white lion - first colored anime over the world. May contains hidden plots connecting between anime & anime-adopted children cartoons both 1980 & 2003 season **#AstroBoy** **#鉄腕アトム** **#mightyAtom** **#GoGoアトム*
I swear your hair has grown loads since last video or you just had it combed back before. Also I expected this to be another quality rant about how tezuka was a tism.
black1blade Every Manga Mondays: This is the show recorded months in advance Last bunch of videos: I am moving out Most recent video (vanilla vlog): I have moved out This video: I'm moving out hmm, really make you :thonk:
Ohh yeah, getting the timelines mixed up. I haven't been watching all the manga mondays and forgot about him clearing out his house so I thought this was in another hotel or something.
Most influential? I would guess Ashita no Joe is the most influential single one. For defining all the standard tropes in sports manga, which remained the most popular genre of manga for decades, besides other elements. Tezuka is the most influential manga author but he wrote hundreds of mangas and each is not very influential individually.
Don't you know, Osamu Tezuka is legendary manga creator. First colored anime created from him, the jungle emperor. His best anime, astro boy gives biggest impact to anime industry because first longer playback (25-30min). Most anime lovers from Indonesia are familiar with astro boy
Tezuka used robots to make people realize how discrimination is foolish, when the time western society still consisted in Black discrimination. So, is anime and manga racist?
"He can shoot machine guns out of his ass"
Now I really want to read this manga.
The story you mentioned about the giant robot that is gonna destroy seven other robots is the one Naoki Urasawa reimagined on Pluto.
There is also Pluto, based on Astro Boy, written by Urasawa ( Monster, 20th Century Boys, Master Keaton...). I haven't read it, but I heard it's really good.
You forgot his earlier work Yawara! A Fashionable Judo Girl, his underrated masterpiece

If that was your favorite story, read Pluto, it's a re-imagining of that arc, quite fucking good honestly.

You sir are responsible for me rubbing and scratching a hole into my monitor thanks to your profile pic.
But any fiction techs inside the anime may realized because technologies in real life more evolved, such as special digital robotic systems

Literally every top comment: "Pluto is a darker version of Astroboy."

Have you read Pluto, by Naoki Urazawa? I would love to hear your thoughts on it! :D

Once Upon A Time is also a great Astro Boy Story Arc, so I recommend reading that one.
It's sad as shit, man. The Atlas arc always hits my feels.
Enjoy the journey to the fullest my boy
Astro Boy: basically 50s Megaman
One day I'll read this for sure.
So is the Eromanga-Sensei series canceled?
JaredMithrandir I wouldn't blame him for that. The kirito part probably broke him up.
"Eromanga-sensei podcast is gonna be delayed for a few days this week cause connection in this hotel is too inconsistent for podcasts :(" from Digibro twitter
No Name I figured as much but I feel empty still
a shame, i really wanted them to comment on those bizzare "baka" scenes that are soo forced, it made me barf
Digi there is one story from astro boy that you should check its called once upon a time an astro boy tales parts 1 2 and 3 its emotionally gripping.
We need road vlogs
Osamu Tezuka is the god of manga and the father of anime and the creator of Astro boy Kimba the white
Lion and Dororo and more.
YOUR NEXT LINE WILL BE:" WOW, DIGIBRO, MANGA MONDAY ON AN ACTUAL MONDAY?!"
Great video
Regarding the Astro Boy anime adaptations, which one do you like the most/which one is the best. The 1963, 1980, or 2003 adaptations?
*1980 because not too complex, but still contains full story. First colored season of astro boy launchs after first play of Kimba the white lion - first colored anime over the world. I love Astro boy !
Doesn't *Pluto* by Naoki Urasawa a more developed and mature version of the strongest robot in the world?

When are you releasing the video Tanoshii Muumin Ikka?
"first anime ever" is incorrect, another series beat it to air by a few days, Mighty Atom was only the first 30min Weekly Animation.
Don't you know, Osamu Tezuka is legendary manga creator. First colored anime created from him, the jungle emperor. His best anime, astro boy gives biggest impact to anime industry because first longer playback (25-30min). Most anime lovers from Indonesia are familiar with astro boy
You ever plan on doing Manwha's when this series is over?
this series is endless as long as manga is endless
This isn't as backlogged as I thought. Huh.
2:53 Didn't you mean to say seg"you"?
If he wanted to pronounce it wrong, sure.
But segyou is the canonical Digi pronunciation
Tezuka used robots to make people realize how discrimination is foolish, when the time western society still consisted in Black discrimination.
So, is anime and manga racist?
you're contradicting yourself in that statement lol
STOP CHANGING YOUR HAIR!!
