Not only that, Walt then has the gall to comfort Jesse’s sadness in this, as if Walt didn’t have anything to do with causing Jane’s death, the source of all that grief for Jesse. It was so disgusting and sickening for me to watch Jesse being comforted by the very person who caused him all that grief to begin with. I couldn’t take seriously any friendly interaction between Walt and Jesse from then on. If Walt had never been there at Jesse’s place, Jane would still be alive, albeit cause a mess on Jesse’s neck, and she (as well as Jesse probably) would be forced by her dad into inpatient rehab the very next morning under pain of calling the cops over. If Jane had to die at all, I really wish we got see her last until season 5 where she can get killed by Uncle Jack’s gang, especially since she and Jesse seem to have so much more chemistry than Andrea who seemed like a really boring character with not much personality. (Plus, it would have fit better with Jesse’s blood-curdling screams of anguish in “Granite State”.) Or, if Jane had to die as early as season 2, then I really wish the writers would have stuck to Vince’s original plan of having Walt deliberately inject Jane with a lethal dose of heroin.
I'm not to down on his parents. Jesse was a mess and an addict. He couldn't and wouldn't stop and they reached a point where they had to admit that they couldn't make Jesse do anything. I feel like I watched a different show than everyone else in these comments. Walter cared about Jesse, but he cared more about himself. And the transformation isn’t scary, it’s just depressing. Jesse went THROUGH IT during the entire series. And anytime he’d get himself on track, he’d get thrown right off…and let’s not forget that a lot of this is ultimately Walter’s doing. Walter wasn’t doing any of this for his family, or for Jesse, it was for himself. And he even admitted to that. He liked the power, liked the control, and he liked cooking meth. It didn’t matter to him what it destroyed or who it hurt in the process. Love Walt and Bryan did a phenomenal job portraying that character, but don’t be fooled by the manipulation. Walter was the bad guy of this show and Jesse was another unfortunate victim
@@Daniel-kf9xg I didn’t like how reckless Jesse was in the early seasons. He really made some stupid decisions with Jane, who was even more impulsive than him. Not defending Walters actions but to think that Jesses whole life was perfect and bittersweet and was destroyed “all because of Walter” is really crazy to me.
Yeah no I agree with Tristan. Walt really took Jesse to new heights in life and I think Jesse's lack of appreciation for that and constant self destructive behaviors is what drew the line for Walt to where be stopped really caring and started taking it away from him, sending him into his own hell again.
The Make-up departments on these shows are amazing. Every main character in BCS is over 50 playing like 20 years younger and I didn’t even know until Season 6 wrapped up.
The ending was amazing. It makes me cry as well. The way Walter avenges everyone and dies, man. What a show! I wish he didn’t die and got a good ending.
I think this was the best ending for walt possible. If he didn’t die he in finale he will just die in a couple of months from cancer, if not he will be in jail for rest of his life. He made sure his family is financially taken care of, he avenged hank and freed jesse as his final redemption act. He finished what he set out to do. Jesse is one of those characters that from a person who just saw them would think he is just pathetic, but in reality only real BB viewers know his story is tragic.

@@mvximus3188 I think he is pretty smart, but not confident. That is why he did some stupid shit - to gain respect in some way and to look cool at least in his eyes. And why he trusted Walter in all his manipulations, for my opinion it's because he felt abandoned for his whole life and he is not a loner, he clearly needs somebody by him, and Walter gave it to him. Also seeing Walter as father-figure, whose compliment you should gain, made him obey and more listen to Walter then himself. As for that he is smart, just remember that even Walter said that Jesse cooks better meth than him. Of course it's not only about being smart but still

So haven't your edits/videos on a daily basis. Thanks for making them man.
Almost everyone who got in Walter’s way (Gus, Hank, Salamancas, Domingo, Todd) suffered in some way or was killed. Jesse, although being Walter’s friend, stood in his way more times than any villain. Jesse went through the worst out of everyone.
Me as a 19 year old watching Jesse’s story unfold: “oh god this is heavy” Me as an almost 25 year old: “man, this dude is my age and doing all this crazy stuff…"
Jesse’s transformation doesn’t scare me because it shows that we can make mistakes, fall into dark places, even damn near ruin our lives, and still come back from it with hope. His arc is tragic and beautiful somehow. Walter’s transformation is the scary one, because it shows that there are in fact dark places that we can fall into and never come back from.
This is by far the best Jesse edit I’ve witnessed. The editing is perfect, every scene is different throughout the song that’s playing and the melody fits so well with the situations he has been through within the show. 12/10 edit 🎉
Needed a scene where Kim passes the cigarette to Jesse (Waterworks season 6 BCS) , basically passing the torch and leading him on the similar path to ruin.
I think Jesse is a character so many people love is because any of us could end up like Jesse or have gone through something similar. I know I have. I had a terrible relationship with my parents when I was a teen and I was going down a very dark path until I eventually realized that I didn’t want my life to go that way and made a change. Many adolescents don’t want to change or feel like they can’t and end up in a position similar to Jesse’s. His redemption over his failures and remaining a good person despite everything he’s done and been through is what makes Jesse so relatable and such a well written character.
I really like the first scene where you can see that Jesse's mom is worried that Jesse will "Bring down" his brother to his level. Edit: I said it was subtle which was incorrect.
This video made me realize Walt was really the only person who ever showed up for Jesse. Skinny Pete was always a loyal friend, but Walt was more of a father figure. That’s why Jesse forgave Walt over and over again.

He was an adult and made his own choices. They were trying to protect their younger son from taking the same path. Parents aren't given a class or books that teach them how to be the perfect parent.Almost all of them are overwhelmed and unprepared and just wing it.
@@kennethwilliams7731 “Jesse was a mess and an addict. He couldn’t and wouldn’t stop” And even then, you could tell that they still loved their son Jesse by the way they desperately clutch and cling onto the telephone when they realize their son isn’t dead. I have high hopes that, after all the furor with the DEA dies down, Jesse may one day call his parents again and get in touch with them and Jake, maybe after Jesse has kids of his own, so that he can introduce his parents to their grandchildren.

His character arc is literally just him getting more unhinged depressed and fed up which I mean I would be too but the dude was selling meth to a rat before he met Walt he was supposed to go to jail in episode one but he got lucky so I don't really understand why he didn't like Walter past all his "degrading" but I mean the dude didnt even know what copper is and I'll say he got smater but wasn't that because of Walter tho just like Skylar "I learned from the best" I jusy felt like he should have been more open minded in the situation I mean he blamed Walt for havinf a hole in his celling but it's literally because Jesse didn't listen then wanted to bitch about how walter hasnt killed crazy 8 when he had already killed Emilio and helped clean up the blood even when Jesse said he could do it after that if you dont think walter won't do what he needs to get what he wants then I'm sorry your dumb
Walter was the bad guy of this show and Jesse was another unfortunate victim
exactly
Jesse's story is a tragedy, a victim of both the corrupt system and people like Walter white
You’d be surprised that a lot of us actually agree with your comment, it’s a very strange dynamic that the two share
Literally everyone cries about Walt you're nothing special
Thanks for stating the obvious 🤲
Incredible story with incredible characters but the actors and actresses is what brings this alive ❤
Seasons 1-3: “Man I feel bad for Walt, and I really hate Jesse.”
Seasons 4-5: “Man I feel bad for Jesse, and I really hate Walter.”
they switched the greedy arrogant role...
L
I never hated Jessie. I always liked him. it really annoyed me the way that Walter talked to Jessie.
@@Daniel-kf9xg I didn’t like how reckless Jesse was in the early seasons. He really made some stupid decisions with Jane, who was even more impulsive than him. And he also went off the deep end too much without consulting Walter in key situations. The roles changed around when Jesse shot Gale. Suddenly Jesse became more conscious towards his decisions and consulted the people around him more while Walter stepped over people, was unconscious towards the consequences of his decisions and didn’t consult people he cared about.
@@Daniel-kf9xg I wouldn’t say Walt was that bad towards Jesse until like season 4 when he started to really manipulate his feelings and desires. Early on he talked to Jesse like a naive student but as time went by he started to earn Walt’s respect and trust similar to how Jesse earned Mike and Gus’ respect.

honestly watching Jesse transform from a fun guy that has all energy in the world, to a broken and destroyed man that has nothing and nobody, all because of Walter broke me honestly. amazing edit though!
yes friend, very sad to see this, thank you ♥
LMAO but we have to remember he was selling meth for a rat before Walter killed him so we always have to remember that he actually needed Walt more than he wants to admit or else Jesse would have been dead or in jail
Not defending Walters actions but to think that Jesses whole life was perfect and bittersweet and was destroyed “all because of Walter” is really crazy to me.
@@Tristan02539 no one seems to have watched the first episode 🤣🤣
Yeah no I agree with Tristan. Walt really took Jesse to new heights in life and I think Jesse's lack of appreciation for that and constant self destructive behaviors is what drew the line for Walt to where be stopped really caring and started taking it away from him, sending him into his own hell again.
idk how vince did it but after jesse was in rehab and when we see him talk to his dad again he looked really healthy and sober
The Make-up departments on these shows are amazing. Every main character in BCS is over 50 playing like 20 years younger and I didn’t even know until Season 6 wrapped up.
Nice, clean and bright clothing, freshly washed and shaven face and the smile. It is really effective though.
There was never gonna be a happy ending where all is forgiven and live happily ever after after all the damage has been done.

My favourite scene is where Jesse strangles Todd with the same chains he was confined to, and Mr. White just watched with apathy. Such a raw moment, you can feel Jesses pent up rage after Todd killed Andrea.
Jesse is one of those characters that from a person who just saw them would think he is just pathetic, but in reality only real BB viewers know his story is tragic.
"Why are you blue?" was my favorite moment of this edit
Where is that scene? Can’t seem to find it in this specific edit?

@@mvximus3188 I think he is pretty smart, but not confident. That is why he did some stupid shit - to gain respect in some way and to look cool at least in his eyes. And why he trusted Walter in all his manipulations, for my opinion it's because he felt abandoned for his whole life and he is not a loner, he clearly needs somebody by him, and Walter gave it to him. Also seeing Walter as father-figure, whose compliment you should gain, made him obey and more listen to Walter then himself. As for that he is smart, just remember that even Walter said that Jesse cooks better meth than him. Of course it's not only about being smart but still
The fact that he was initially gonna die in the first season yet he lived up to be a masterpiece character is crazy.

Growing up is understanding that, without Walt or with Walt, Jesse was going to end badly 🗿
The name is ??
I think Jesse is a character so many people love is because any of us could end up like Jesse or have gone through something similar. I know I have. I had a terrible relationship with my parents when I was a teen and I was going down a very dark path until I eventually realized that I didn’t want my life to go that way and made a change. Many adolescents don’t want to change or feel like they can’t and end up in a position similar to Jesse’s. His redemption over his failures and remaining a good person despite everything he’s done and been through is what makes Jesse so relatable and such a well written character.
