@Foulacy I agree. Most coutry musicians are by title only but I've found guitar wise, the Keith Urban as well as Brad Paisley & now Zak Brown are some kick ass guitarists. If you haven't yet, check them out. I think you'll be pleased
@csutton5 you are twisting my words. when did I say he couldn't compete with other guitarists? I started playing guitar because of Keith. as a John Mayer fan you should know that he has a heavy Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan influence (which is very different from Keith's main influence, Mark Knofler. and I don't know what wikipedia has to do with anything... thanks for enjoying my video.
Dang yall does it matter what chord hes playing in, and if he's using a "pedal" or not?...Keith DOES play the guitar if you've heard him live lol just enjoy the song!
i would have to disagree on everything you said. he's finally back? where did he go? and i think kris allen did a pretty good job singing with keith, in fact i think they sound similar.
@csutton5 can't find anyone else with good tone? don't get me wrong, KU is my favourite musician but John Mayer's tone is matchless. I do enjoy KU's melodic solos, in fact Mayer said that he would steal that idea. When Keith does melodic solos (ex- Stupid Boy, Til Summer) it really feels like he's singing through his guitar.
wrong, his last single "Sweet Thing" went #1 on the US and Canadian charts... and this song is at #3 and is dropping airplay so it will not reach any further.
That's not a traditional banjo, it's a 6 string banjo that frets and plays just like a guitar, hence the nickname "ganjo". A real banjo has 5 strings and is played by strictly fingerpicking and "rolling" with the fingers. Totally different instruments.
Yeah, he used to use Matchless and Bad Cat, which are pretty much Matchless clones... Your Soldanos and Hiwatts are similar I've heard, and your Vox, Orange, etc are class A style amps. Vox are sweet, but the top boost always gets wierd to me. i've never liked the blended clean/distortion thing...
Your sad Just a D chord mmmmmm Learn the song not just a D chord very basic change but makes a diff he an amazing guitarist very talented wish i was as good .
He amazes me at how he plays licks behind the songs while singing.. and they aren't easy licks to do while singing.. amazing.
Damn! dude sounds even
better live than on the track!
I'm not the biggest country music fan, but if you don't like Keith Urban you don't know good music.
This is such a great song...Instant classic!
Keith is the mann, love his music.
He's amazing! I love this song!
in fact his single preceeding "Sweet Thing" was "You Look Good in my Shirt" and that was a #1 single in the US and Canada as well.
Keith Urban You Superstar!
i loved when he sang this with kris allen on american idol!!!!!! great song
Can't wait to see him September!!
Keith how do you get such a tone!?...
bought his new cd! its great deffinatly buy it!

This is Great, I cant wait to take my daughter to see him
has he never toured in Sweden?

@alvaritooooooooo what do you mean? he's just playing a D, A, G barre/power chords
You can do that when you've got every major amp manufacturer in country falling over themselves to get you to endorse their products.
i would have to disagree on everything you said. he's finally back? where did he go? and i think kris allen did a pretty good job singing with keith, in fact i think they sound similar.
i know he goes to Germany, is that all of europe he tours?

OH HELL NO! This is way better than having to sang with that Kris Allen guy.

oh yes those teeth and those sexy eyes and that killer smile!!!!! how could we resist him!!!!

Send me your email. I made a tab of the recorded version of this song as well as a version of this video I can send you.
@fonpeg first of all it's a ganjo, and how does he bother you?

keith urban....mmm..*m..e..l..t..s**
what do you mean he is actually playing? why wouldn't he?
you could put his guitar up against anyone in the biz...

Do he has shit on his t shirt? :P
