I’ve been thinking of going to Thailand - it looks beautiful and seems like they are relaxing restrictions a lot plus I could do the digital nomad thing for a while. The US is great but lots of stressed out people. At least you’ve got the ocean there to listen to waves and relax - looks nice. Good to see you’re doing well, be good bro 😎
Living in HK, I know that feeling well of having to regularly escape for a while to maintain your sanity. It's not so much the leaving which is the difficulty here it's the getting back in. Enjoyed the video, keep up the good work.
so i spent a few days in HK for my visa process. I have to say it was so world class and civilized compared to Sanya, China! What a city! This was 2019.
if you travel later! do travel videos!! i would love your honest opinions about places you've been to! i enjoy you walking around and talking about stuff happening around you xD
I was a teacher in Sicuan, loved my visit to Hainan. In those years (2003-2008) it was much more free. 11:55 it happens in America too ; CCP envies US Gov's reach and control over the people.
@@CasaFassa Really? Holy shit and I have some friends telling me that going to China is still easy and not a problem at all. Finding out what is actually going on over there is a real pain. Well hopefully you can make it out safe and sound.
What a beautiful beach. super cool your friend got a new better paying job at a private school. Wishing him good luck. Private schools sucked when I last taught in one.
Fingers crossed you only need ONE ticket to leave when your time comes. Thanks for explaining your perspective on returning to the US and finding work, i've never thought how that might be daunting as well. Makes it far more understandable how people would opt for, or stay in China, even in times like this. Easy job/easy money sounds good to ANYONE...But I hope they stumble upon a video like yours and don't have to learn the hard way. Keep spreading the word!
Nice video dude. Seems like your mind has been made up to leave all along, which is fair enough. It's interesting that you aren't phased about finding a job back in the US... Have you completely given up on ESL or is there a chance you'll return to it after spending some time in the US? How about somewhere like Hong Kong or Dubai where the salary is high and there's a bigger expat community? Also interested to hear your into stocks and crypto too... Bloodbath lately! What are you holding? Keep the videos coming man, I watch them all!
So I’m down to one stock IINN and I just hold some monero because i’m a “believer” and that’s it for now. Out of everything for now. When I get stateside I’ll look into trading again. Well I won’t turn down ESL opportunities if they drop on my lap, but I need to stay in the states for family reasons and it looks like all places will require vaccines to teach again. I’m not really into that.
@@CasaFassa Ah cool, thanks for the update! I guess from a selfish perspective I was kinda hoping you'd reconsider and go do ESL somewhere else so you can keep posting videos of your exploits, but you've gotta do what you've gotta do. Wish you all the best mate!
@@paulie_g_ I still intend to keep the expat life going as soon as possible. I will get some travel in before that, too! I’ll just put my big boy pants and discover another way to earn money and live abroad.
Don’t get me wrong I don’t hate it, but I can only do it for so long, especially since any other interests or career developement is impossible to develop here. Since it’s no longer possible to ever leave China and keep your job, I feel that the opportunity cost of remaining in China to secure ABC money is too great.
VN is pretty dope i think thats a better prespective, not there yet but possibly soon i just go back from there for a lil trip. And not even in the big cities. and cheaper in VN. TL is ok too but the flame is flattening there a little.

Fore sure, that’s what I want to do!
Haven't left now for 6 years.. gone crazy and back again. Just kinda numb to it now. Nerves are dead or something 😂

True, and at first it looked like the US was far more draconian, then this happened. I realize the west could do something again, too!
Calm before the storm. When even the shills are leaving that's not a good sign.

Yeah now Guangzhou could have issues lately! This kinda the only serious point of exit right now! arghhhhhhh

You're right, in Bangkok I can direct a taxi where to go in English. Not in Shanghai.
Isn’t that the litmus test, right, the cab drivers speak English you good to go!?
Don't worry about the US job market Fassa. Companies are dying for people currently.
Okay, that’s encouraging!
This shady character!

I just saw now Guangzhou could have problems. I really hope not because that’s really my point of exit, and last one at that!
@@CasaFassa Are you thinking about leaving early, or are you still gonna stick it out?
If you planned your speech and made it 2 times more dense, it would attract ten times the audience 😛
Yeah time to stop being lazy and write a script! I would love to collab but tomorrow immleaving China!

ABC BUX!
If you want security and comfort of living Japan is still great. But maybe for adventure southeast asia is better.
Well Japan is so expensive though. I haven’t been there yet. Deffo on my list.
C'mon man, if you didn't like that job at least for a bit you would never do it for so long ;-)
