    I am not paid by Bosch company for marketing their products, nor paid by Bosch's competitors to show the issues of Bosch tools.
    I bought these tools with my own money and did this small experiment to satisfy my curiosity. I had a surprise and I wish to share it with you. Watch the video till the end. Any questions/observations/ideas are welcome in the comment section.
    Additional notes
    - before each measurement I try to show that I use the same battery and it's state of charge (voltage on the yellow multimeter), you can notice the slight discharge after each run
    - the red clampmeter is set on DC current and the button that I press each time is to zero the reading
    - both drills were set on gear 1, clockwise direction
    - both drills are rated for similar torque values (54Nm for 180-Li and 50Nm for 185-Li) in gear 1

    Good analysis...Im lead designer for Gsb/Gsr 185-Li..so proud when i see you tested my tool and really appreciate that..😊

      It's good to see a person like you here in the comments. I`m just a hobbyist and I`m not sure to choose between 12v 30 and 185 Li, can you help me ? What's the real difference in torque and power between these two tools?

    • @brandondyzel130
      @brandondyzel130 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@falvesc I would say it depends on what you'd want to achieve with the tool. If it will need to manage some heavier loads or possible scenarios that require quite a bit of force, the 185-Li would be good, it won't be rotary drill good though. Any 12v drill according to my knowledge is ok, for lite drilling into softer types of wood and screws maybe up to 15nm(but I haven't used one before so that is only what I've heard from others that has used a 12v)

      @@brandondyzel130 That is exactly what I was thinking about it. The 12v 30 propobaly is the best suited tool for my use but, as the 185 Li is basically the same price as the 12v 30 here in Brazil, I will take you project !

      hi ! the 185-Li model is supposed to be more efficient in terms of power consumption from battery, but as I showed here in my video...the current consumption is similar brushless Vs brushed, why so?

    Due to metal chuk it uses more ampere then 180 model...weight increases......Respect from Punjab, India 🙏🏻

      I would be curious to compare DeWalt DCD771 with DCD777 to see if their brushless motor is "more efficient" also...

    I have the 180 for myself for a while now, and my wife wanted her own cause I grew up in my fathers workshop and my tools are my tools which I take care off.
    Well, I noticed the difference in the chuck being steel(185) or metal alloy vs the plastic type of the 180. Also size difference, but aside from that what are the main differences in specs, torque, efficiency, longevity, etc.

    • @aicisha
      @aicisha  2 месяца назад

      torque - stated to be the same, efficiency - power consumption from battery is the same (sadly), longevity - the brushed motor drill (180-Li model) I think is is more resilient because it has much simpler electronics inside

    I got GHB 180-Li and I'd like to know how different when it compares with GSB 185. Could you please explain what your test means? Because I'm not an engineer!

      in my test I wanted to show that the new bosch brushless motor is not more efficient compared to an old brushed motor, see the current consumption written at the end

      hmm nope, all bosch cordless drills I owned so far had some small weird issues, go for dewalt or milwaukee

    Güzel test , tabi ki fırçasız motor tercih edilmeli, 180 ile 185 arasında 50 dolar fark var.

    • @aicisha
      @aicisha  2 месяца назад

      it should be preffered only because is is more compact and lightweight, but not because it is more power efficient because it is not!

    180li use less power to do same work. So it looks more efficient.
