Fluke 77IV Vs Hioki DT4252 - autohold comparison
Просмотров 2,6 тыс.Год назад
To have autohold function triggered again, Hikoki needs to be disconnected from the input or the input value needs to change to another range. Otherwise nothing happens except the bargraph movement. Fluke autohold is differently implemented and I prefer it. This is valid through all modes, not only in resistance. When you feed the multimeter a 50% pwm square wave with offset greater than the amplitude, if you go to mV scale and switch from DC to AC several times, the second time on AC it will measure 0 mV. If the signal has the offset less than the amplitude (for example 0.2V as shown in video), you won't get this weird behavior. I say it's poor not only because it misses sometimes, but also the beep is not continuous when it should be and then when the probes get disconnected, it will still beep for another half second or so. Overall is still a great meter with nice accuracy and plenty of useful features for electronics use. And the display looks very cool. More about this dmm you can read here: www.eevblog.com/forum/t...

I found this behaviour while I was doing some tests with my dc load in series with this dmm. Notice how on DCV scale it does not happen. The relay inside just clicks once and it's all good. I also tried different values of voltage and current, but this happens only between 200mA and 2A scale when set to autoranging. Current draw diiference comes from their torque delivery values. GSR 180 gives 54 Nm of moment, on the other hand GSR 185 gives 50 Nm. Please check product data sheets. Essentially they are not exact equivalent machines.

The hioki auto hold works different, it latches the stable value and release the latch when the probe is removed (or a significant change happens), auto hold is suppose to be used from one measurement to the next and not for a variable value that is what normal mode is for. The fluke unlatch and relatch with smaller changes. In practice it makes no difference say measuring battery banks because you release the latch from one battery to the next. Both methods work well

Well, I noticed the difference in the chuck being steel(185) or metal alloy vs the plastic type of the 180. Also size difference, but aside from that what are the main differences in specs, torque, efficiency, longevity, etc.

    • @aicisha

torque - stated to be the same, efficiency - power consumption from battery is the same (sadly), longevity - the brushed motor drill (180-Li model) I think is is more resilient because it has much simpler electronics inside
