Moss.... Stop off on your trip to Cosford and take a look at the Shuttleworth collection at Sandy Bedfordshire. You can get up close to a Lysander and many other great aircraft and vehicles. You won't regret it !!
Got it sitting right here, along with the Airfix club kit set. When I get to build it, I'm going for the Polish 309 Squadron. Of which you can get a very good/ affordable Squadron badge and national insignia at that well known site which starts with E. The pilots look the best yet, Thanks for the review...Mos.
DU-RAL-U-MIN an aluminium alloy that is 95 % aluminium , with copper and magnesium added which makes it stronger and more corrosion resistant than just aluminium by itself
Ever since I built the Matchbox Lysander in 1/72 many years ago, I have just loved the look of the Lysander. I plan to build mine with an aftermarket scheme of a detachment that was temporarily based in my local area. I look forward to seeing your build of it. Best wishes to you MOS 👍
Bonjour de Paris !!!! ne parlant pas très bien la langue anglaise j apprécie le langage IA en plus le montage de cet avion m interesse vraiment.merci beaucoup 😊 10:29
Most famous for being used by SOE to drop/pick agents behind enemy lines in Europe. This year or next, we will get an all black one with different markings and possibly a few extra parts to reflect its most important role. Have a great birthday 🎉
Looks very nice, and great review. I now have one on backorder here in the colonies, however I think it will take a while - my local shop just got the latest 1/24 Spitfire around Christmas. Airfix want 50 quid for postage from their site. I will be making the Mk1. 3 Squadron RAAF used a few Mk1 and Mk 11 aircraft in hack and army cooperation roles in the Western Desert in around 1940.
Love to see this! Definitely will do the Polish markings. I'm working on a whole range of Battle of Britain aircraft with Polish marks. THanks for the video!
Looks really great. I will hold on for the, to come, Special Ops version with hopefully a nice female agent for the back seat! ;-) Maybe in combination with a Citroen car and some resistance guys?
Hi mos love the videos I recommend a really good model shop in eastleigh called ac models friendly staff, amazing selection insane amount of kits you should make video of the kits you get or a tour of the shop? Let me know. Sincerely, your biggest fan. ❤❤❤
I would prefer the SOE version but between these two schemes, I would do the Polish Mk III Lizzie because those yellow coloured bombs will add more interest to the model, I believe. 🤔
Dear MOS, Still waiting on mine coming through, but no doubt we'll see it before too long! It will be good to take another good look at the kit at that point! Kind regards, Z
Have to add it to my list. Just came back to modelling after 20 ish years and want to build every craft Polish pilots flew from 1939 to 1945 in 1:48. Starting with PZL P11C
I was puzzled bI was puzzled by these Polish characters, because the layout of the fields in the checkerboard/national markings is contemporary (introduced in the 1990s). But I looked for photos and the Lysanders of 309 Squadron did indeed have this layout....
@MOS6510Models I mean, different from the recent kits, like the b24 or the bulldog. Look shinier on screen. Maybe they polished the moulds like no tomorrow
Buy this Kit Here prf.hn/l/4PGnLlZ/ (Airfix Website)
Polish scheme for me 👍
I do like the Lysander, but I think I'll wait for the inevitable SOE version
That will be Finnish MK.III and probably the one with polish insignia out of the box. Ordered two of them.

Looks like a lovely but challenging build. Definitely on my wishlist. It'll be the MK3 when eventually I get it

I don't build many aircraft these days, but do like the look of this one
I will hopefully be getting mine soon, when I do it will definitely be in the Polish markings.
Cheers Mos.
Enjoy it

Have a great birthday mos enjoy Cosford 🎉
Thanks so much
Really enjoyed the video . Looks to have a fair bit of detail without being overly complicated. When I get mine I probably will build the Mk III.

I’m going to build the mk1 as it was stationed and Old Sarum which is around a mile away from where i live 👍
nice looking kit ! odd that the side panel pictures are upside down, not that I care, just noticed Dane
Dear MOS,
Still waiting on mine coming through, but no doubt we'll see it before too long!

worth a good look matey

just waiting for mine to be delivered, haven't decided which version to do, but the polish one would be a bit different.
I will get and build the mk.3 in Canadian markings.
Happy birthday Moss, & that does look a cracking kit
Thanks 👍
Nice kit mosser cheers
Looks like a nice kit.
To be honest I'm planning on building both schemes, plus a RCAF specific one or two lol.
Nice kit . Another for the list. Thonk i will do the polish first
As Sarum airfield is just a few miles awway from where I live....I will do version A.
Great choice by Airfix. Looking forwards to getting one... or two.
Good choice!
Le Lysander se fait rare chez les fabricants de kits en plastique. Ce 1/48 a l'air d'une réelle aubaine !
Nice looking kit. Is it the new harder plastic?
Happy Birthday!
thank you

they do have some great researchers at Airfix
21:07 Don't worry, I won't beat you about the bush. Or anywhere else on your body for that matter.
Thanks for the video!
Got all excited when my Hornby hobbies delivery arrived today, thinking it was the Lysander, nope it was my 2025 Members box, still a win I guess..
i got both.. membership and lysander lol
@@MOS6510Models Yeah but you are the chosen one 😂
Lysander has shipped today
Mk1👍
I would build the westland lysander mk I from the RAF squadron 1938- 1939.
is it your lighting or has the plastic got a weird silvery hue to it , the kit looks superb but the plastic looks dreadful
@@shakeyhandsshedmodelrailwa2494 plastic is really good to be fair. It’s the new plastic that Airfix now use since end of 2023
@@MOS6510Models doesn't look as nice as the mat grey plastic looks like an addis washing bowl plastic , great kit though
In before Sully breaks the clear sprue 😂😂😂
haha.. hes more careful now
Is the usual plastic?
Look a bit silverish on screen, or a bit oily.
BTW, 2 pilot, 6 arms, obviously various pose option.
yes they changed the plastic a few years back
@MOS6510Models
I mean, different from the recent kits, like the b24 or the bulldog.

just looking again.. the plastic looks ok
Mk1 or Mk 3....why not both?
Really good looking kit, but it's not for me. looking forward to seeing your build though.
away for a few days and finishing off the brand new revell F35a but im on it straight after
polish mk III for me
Disappointed that they haven't included a drop off ladder
some have spotted that omission
WOW !
