Canada bans cosmetics animal testing and trade

In 2023, after a decade of campaigning, Canada passed a ban on cosmetics animal testing and trade. Achieving this was no easy feat. It took incredible effort from our coalition - countless hours rallying public support, campaigning across the country and working alongside industry and the government.
HSI/Canada's Executive Director, Rebecca Aldworth, says it best: "At last, Canadians can rest assured that the beauty products they buy in this country are cruelty-free."
