I just grabbed one and love it nice and small, light on my face. It’s equal to a hepa filter and does keep out dust, vapors and mist along with oil proof. The one I got is made by Klein I believe… I install Epoxy floor/concrete polishing, so it works great for the concrete dust when grinding and the vapors from the epoxy or product curing.. the 3M I had worked, seemed to be a cheaper quality as far as the straps though and it was just to heavy hanging on my face and bigger in general, I really like this one.
I would recommend using this respirator with the miller classic series helmet if you want it to fit with no problem... Miller just recently came out with a classic series helmet called "metal matrix" that features the newest clearlight lens technology.
Thanks for the comment when I get a chance I will try to do a video on the safety stuff that they taught at school and what's expected sort of by OSHA and also kind of what is just general practice in different places. Thank
Hey mate im interested in this with active carbon filters, but for my welder salary and country where i live its really really expensive to replace filters. I want to know from your experience in average how long do the filters last exposed to welding fume, steel and aluminum more exactly. If i have to replace these filters 2-3 times/ week that means around 80-120$ in a month, thats like 1/6 of my wage. In the specification it states these P100 filters last around 1 month now thats a really good deal, filters costs around 10$ so i can spend that to save my health. I really really need this information from you, how long do the filters last welding 2-8 hours/day. Thanks in advance.
I normally use them with just the standard filters and I probably should change them more often but I often use them 6 months to a year and I had one that I use for like 2 years and I probably should have changed it sooner but it still was helping a lot I think even if you're not using it 100% optimal it is still going to help a lot.
I still love Everlast 140 and it looks like they have upgraded it since I bought mine with their 5-year warranty it's hard to beat. But if you are not planning to be doing lift Tig welding. I think I would probably go with this one. www.amazon.com/dp/B07FVRZNG3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_fzw4FbNWAJVHA
I’m curious, would this fit a pipeliner type hood? I bought another type of respirator but had to return it since it didn’t allow the hood to flip down
They make the respirator with 2 different filter options one of them is more protective against vapors and smells store.cyberweld.com/milphamarewr.html Respirators that are made for industrial painting and pesticides would probably be a better option if you’re trying to get the most safety 3m is well known for them
Its strange how they went with a exposed paper filter design for welders. Lincoln electric uses a 3m style P100 that is intended for welders that uses a fire resistant plastic so it guards the paper filter
hi bro.thank you for sharing me this video. I would like to that whether can someone hear your voice well when you put dustmask on you face? bcs my helmet is voice control so i want to know my helmet can be activited or not if someone wear a dustmaks on face
Great info on this respirator. I've been looking at different options and now I'm opting for this Miller LPR-100. Thanks!

Thanks I'll look into that!!
thanks man. im real interested in learning this craft but the whole safety thing is throwing me off

Welding is extremely safe as long as you wear the proper PPE
Helpful video. Thanks for taking the time.
Helpful vid and the info I was looking for. Thanks for sharing.

Hey man great vid! 👍🏽
It’s a good respirator but my welding hood always fogs up so I bought a 3M respirator. Let’s see how it works
The 3m 7500 series are good, the exhale valve points down and out of the helmet so i've had no problems with my hood fogging up while using it.
@@macintoshplus9519 Same. 2 weeks in and it’s been great so far
Great videos! Would you still recommend the EverLast 140 amp for a starting off/home project welder? Or any other suggestions for budget welder lol

Thank you for the feedback! Much appreciated but unfortunately they do not ship the zeny 160 to Canada.. I was looking into that welder as well
What brand of welding garment do you have on?
I’m curious, would this fit a pipeliner type hood? I bought another type of respirator but had to return it since it didn’t allow the hood to flip down
in my experience I have found the Miller respirator fits under most welding helmets
This is random, but do you know if this mask protects you from organic vapors & formaldehyde?
They make the respirator with 2 different filter options one of them is more protective against vapors and smells

Is it just a rebranded gvs elipse p100?
I am not sure.
Yes. It IS a gvs elipse p100. Just with a miller strap.
Its strange how they went with a exposed paper filter design for welders. Lincoln electric uses a 3m style P100 that is intended for welders that uses a fire resistant plastic so it guards the paper filter
The miller filter are (from their product details) a P100
i run gas flux core and stick all day at work. will the filters in this respirator help with those welding fumes?
yes it can definitely help but if you're concerned they also sell an upgraded filter with charcoal in it that does even better!!
why its called Miller when in fact is GVS ???

I am not sure it's a bit hard to hear what you are saying with it on.
Bought these for work and couldn't get a positive seal on a fit test for 2 different masks. Wouldn't recommend them
What sizes where they?
