Hi Özgür, I just discovered your channel through this video. Wow, thank you so much for this, your lesson is absolutely awesome, I especially love your attention to all the little details! Speaking of which: I noticed in John‘s live performances (the one you showed and others as well) that at the very end of the solo, his hand stays in the 5th fret position rather than moving all the way down. You can’t see what exactly he’s doing, but my theory is that he probably plays it as follows: After tapping the high B note with his pinky on the E-string, he does a pull-off to the open E-string, then taps D#-E-D# (4-5-4) on the B-string, does another pull-off to open B, and taps the final C#-B-C# on the G-string (6-4-6). I wanted to share my „theory“ because I find this approach much easier to play fluently. So if somebody else also finds it challenging to get this part right, it might be a helpful alternative.
You are great, wonderful. I think I shall refer to your videos as my main guide for guitar practice. Now I spend about half of my practice time on building up speed based on your lessons. Week 2 is really challenging, but I am feeling it. I am also a huge fan of Dream theater, my favorite DT song is 6:00
