@@HuntFishShootChannel I agree. However your hand is set too far into the gun similar to the ppq and vp9 causing an obnoxious recoil impulse. The p320 has a high bore axis but the recoil impulse is not as bad as any of the one listed.
You are exactly right Paul! I notice the same thing, I’m not sure why they all use a design in that manner because it leads to the recoil we are talking, I am intrigued by the PDP but it’s very similar. Glock, M and P and Sig P320 are not and hence why they all shoot pretty darn flat.

I struggled with firing low and to the left with mine. I know this is a common thing with handguns. Regrettably, I have not had the chance to work on trigger pull stability or put enough rounds through it yet, but perhaps this happens more easily on this gun, especially at range?
Likely need to increase your support hand pressure and make sure that trigger pull is straight and to the rear. You could be anticipating the shot, kinda hard to diagnose without seeing it in person!
For myself personally, I would choose the Sig P320 because I like the grip and the recoil impulse is less. The grip angle and ability to get a much higher grip with the Sig will help with recoil control. The Canik’s are all thick of chunky. But the trigger and value on the Canik is definitely better. I also wouldn’t waste my money necessary on the legion variant if I was carrying because the extra weight is unnecessary and would would just get the X Carry or X compact. I shoot the Sig a lot better myself but the Canik is no slouch. But personally and subjectively I would choose the Sig. I carry a Sig P320 Carry for my issued duty weapon. Now Andrew, one of our camera guys would say that Canik. You could by both the X carry non legion and the Canik elite combat for the price of a X Carry Legion. Plus you could always buy a threaded barrel for the X Carry. I love Sig, but they like making a million different models people don’t need just to get them to spend money. Hope this somewhat answers your question!
I understand what they are currently doing though. They are sending out their military sidearms and now marketing options for competition shooters. Military has certain demands for their firearms but in all honesty, sidearms are rarely used by military. Competition shooters however run the piss out of handguns and getting them to praise a companies product is a great marketing strategy. Once they do get their name out more though, people gonna flip (and already starting to). I bought my first Canik 8 days ago, now I own 2, have a 3rd on layaway, and the combat elite executive is taunting me. Never have I been this impressed with a firearms company. Only company that has come close is CZ (only because the shadow 2 sao is the only gun I could shoot better first time than a standard sfx). I have owned over 10 Glocks, from a G42 to the elusive 17L, 6 sigs, multiple revolvers from various companies, a couple of HK's, some 1911s, a Staccato C2, and a couple of Walthers including the Q5 match SF pro. There are others, but you get the point. I am a Canik fanatic now and I am kicking myself for never giving them a chance before.
Couldn’t tell you, don’t have one to try on it. It doesn’t shoot as flat as a Glock and mention is made about it. We did a follow up review you should check it out!
"It can hardly be called a canik"...Uh, yes it can. You mentioned Salient Arms "reworked this gun" with a barrel upgrade, mag well, trigger, mag release, and sights. That is not true. Only the barrel, and magwell are the salient arms upgrades. The trigger and mag release are Canik, and the sights are Warren tactical sights, which come on a couple of Canik models. The barrel and mag well are great upgrades by a great company, but give Canik some credit on this awesome pistol.
Bought one, took it to the range and it jams on 3-4 out of every 10 rounds. Pretty ridiculous, never had seen such unreliable gun in my life. I guess I’ll stick to the tried and true Glock. My uncle was with me at the range and I came up with mental excuses to try and justify this gun not working but the minute I said the ammo may be bad he cycled his Glock with 100 rounds of the same ammo no issues. I shot the canik again and it jammed twice on 12 rounds… Really regret this purchase
You must’ve been using lower grain ammo. CANIK is beyond reliable. Shoot some NATO and there’s spring options like stated earlier to not repeat/be redundant.

I love Sig, but they like making a million different models people don’t need just to get them to
spend money. Hope this somewhat answers your question!
Canik need to make more smaller EDC firearms. Love them though. Sfx, Sft . Are to big and the sfx is a competition gun
I agree! I'd love to see a Canik micro compact.
I want to put a Holosun on one of those 😎😎
You should, I like my 507!
How does this one differ from the executive?
Color
Mine came with the optics plates
That’s awesome, glad to hear it did!
Talk about Muzzle flip and Recoil. Review is incomplete wthout it. Also how does it work with a surpressor?
Couldn’t tell you, don’t have one to try on it. It doesn’t shoot as flat as a Glock and mention is made about it. We did a follow up review you should check it out!
Any recommendation on why holster would fit this gun ?
We cannot, the one we used for OWB on the range was the Blackhawk Omnivore.
Harry's holsters
is the trigger the same as the rival?
Very close if not identical
"It can hardly be called a canik"...Uh, yes it can. You mentioned Salient Arms "reworked this gun" with a barrel upgrade, mag well, trigger, mag release, and sights. That is not true. Only the barrel, and magwell are the salient arms upgrades. The trigger and mag release are Canik, and the sights are Warren tactical sights, which come on a couple of Canik models. The barrel and mag well are great upgrades by a great company, but give Canik some credit on this awesome pistol.
Ok mr. Perfect 🤩 oversight on our part.
Do they not sell them in Texas I been trying to buy it for the past 7 month and are always out of stock
We have no idea, they are in the stores here in Ohio.
Picked up mine today in Texas, brand new at cash America pawn. They buy new weapons and sell them at retail or below in this case. Got it for 799$
Got mine in Texas today for $800
Put a light on it, you'll hardly notice any Recoil.
💪
You can add a suppressor?
Yes you can!
Caniks price point brings out the full moon reviewers. Better then your gun lol.
It’s a very hot topic 😂
The trigger is from Canik.
You are correct, little mistake there!
guns amazing but finding extra mags is damn near impossible
We have heard! People were buying them up for the Walther PDP for a while too!
Got this same gun from my local gun shop for $500 cash
Awesome deal!
Must have been used
going for $615 right now
I got mine for $529 on an obscure auction page with very little attention.
$689 one year later
Made in Turkey 💯
I was told this was a competition gun? Can some1 educate me
It could be used for that!
👍👍👍🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
This big retired football player made me his bitch in front of everyone at the bar so I’m definitely getting this for big guy
Pretty sure the trigger is from CANIK not saliant
It is… I misspoke
Bought one, took it to the range and it jams on 3-4 out of every 10 rounds. Pretty ridiculous, never had seen such unreliable gun in my life. I guess I’ll stick to the tried and true Glock.
My uncle was with me at the range and I came up with mental excuses to try and justify this gun not working but the minute I said the ammo may be bad he cycled his Glock with 100 rounds of the same ammo no issues. I shot the canik again and it jammed twice on 12 rounds…
Really regret this purchase
You definitely need to contact the company, sounds like there is definitely something wrong. Sorry to hear you are having issues.
Lighten up recoil spring or use hotter ammo problem solved
You must’ve been using lower grain ammo. CANIK is beyond reliable. Shoot some NATO and there’s spring options like stated earlier to not repeat/be redundant.
Salient had nothing to do with the trigger.....
You are correct David. Thank you for watching
what that, that's just a copy of the German Walther P99
not the price point tho
@@alexmendez713 if you want to support radical Islam, like isis, buy it.
from what i understand it's pronounced "jahnik"
Nah it’s pronounced Canik like it’s spelled. The company did a bit on how to pronounce it in English.
Not in Merica
Salient just did sights, barrel and the magwell thats all..do not exaggerate
Yeah your are correct! But those are major components! If you are nay sayer of the Canik I urge you to try one! Thanks for watching!
@@HuntFishShootChannel i own TP9 original,TP9 V2,TP9 SF ELITE and finaly ELITE SC and i love all of'em so yeah..
Great you have a bunch of nice shooting guns then!
