Not the way to fish, and I'm not a fishermen. You're supposed to let it swim and tire itself out. You see where he was holding the reel from slipping and clicking? That's called "drag" setting. He had it way too tight, plus then he stopped it from "dragging" (let's the fish swim out, pulling line out with the fish, putting less tension on the line and the rod) He's lucky that the rod or the line didn't snap, or that he didn't get yanked into the drink. Set your drag man! And I'm no fishermen.... I actually don't even like fishing.

People fight large tuna using the rail. What they do differently is straddle the butt end instead of under armpit, then squat and stand to raise and lower the tip end.

I was born in Dunedin and lived in Clearwater most of my life- I've fished the Skyway lots of times, and I've seen 15ft. Hammerhead sharks swimming underneath that very spot!!! Nice fish!
I remember chatting a 8.5 foot 110 pond sail fish. Took me an hour to land it. I was so pumped I never felt the pain till the next day, and I could not lift my arm high enough to scratch my nose. But it was worth it.
