Hi mate, seems like a strong list, I tended to castle to much with the silent king & lost mobility, for me it’s option 1 just don’t like the huge signature 6 man gives you & I hear what you say at the end ,but for me personally I love the option of extra cp because this can be very cp dependant detachment 👍

I am really starting tknlean more back towards first option since I can choose to send 3/6/9 on an objective depending on what's going on. As for immotek I see this detachment wants to spend CP but I can't drop that 100 pts on him just for it. But as I always say that's a personal prefrence....I also can't seem to build ablost without loading up on spyders!

I am using 3 units of 5 flayed ones for bait and early secondaries. I like putting them near objectives on my side where the DDA's can see them so if the enemy goes in to melee them i can blast them away next turn and usually throw some ophydians on the point to finish them off if need be.
Also the stalkers are like S-tier for me. Great primary scoring and can strip cover for the DDA's and LHD's Enmitic guns.

Flayed Ones are so efficient for their points in this detachment

Been running 3x5 Flayed Ones with 2x3 Skorpekhs and a Skorpekh Lord running solo. Going for a MSU build to accompany my Wraith brick.

    No Psychomancer? Shame!
Just kidding, on your question run 3x3 Skorpekhs. They really do shred things on the charge vs units on objective markers and a 6-man unit is harder to hide and will often overkill.
With 3x3 you also have better reserv options. Stageing one or two units could be alot easier and well placed rapid ingress with the third unit is very strong.
And know you did not ask for this however in my opinion the thralls should be a unit flayed ones for the forward deply and i know you love love love your spyders but i would run two solo spyders and add a second reanimator for the reasons you yourself said as well as a deathmark (which is quite fine at killing infantry and holding backfield or scoring)
    Cheers

That looks like you're going to have CP managment issues. I strongly suggest imotekh. Leave him in the back on your home objective, generate extra CP, have a once per game dev wound drop on anything that gets close.

Ive ran 6 skorpekh with lord and its nice when everything works properly. Get them staged safely and charge for lords buffs. But if you cant stage safely then they get blasted off the board. They have a maasive footprint at full strength
I say go with 3x3 skorpekh and see what happens

6 man skorpekhs just aren't very durable for their cost, they line up great for a lot of your opponents weapon profiles and they don't have much defense. As a trading unit the 6 man is going to have trouble finding targets to trade up with and will likely be trading down in points value.
I like the 3 man squads though that said I think the Skorpekh lord is incredibly valuable opening the unit up to more targets they can threaten. I'd actually suggest another option which would be 2- 3 man squads with one having a lord attached.

Ill consider that after this matchup. Yeah the nore and more i think about it I'm afraid that a 6 man gets smacked where the three man's can at least mess with the math.
I will keep the combination in mind though after this matchup because everything you said is exactly what I'm thinking it's hard to ignore how durable the skorp lord is.

I'm running 6 with lord.. Stage up for a charge into an objective then hold. I also run imotek because stranger can be do heavy.

damn auto correct. Starshatter is cp heavy

2x3 skorpeks with lord instead of 3x3, gives you 20 points for wiggle or enhancements

Why not run a nightbringer instead of rhe wraiths slightly cheaper, hard to move and makes people deal with it or get turned into a fine mist. Or if ya want an objective holder the deceiver with stealth and his other abilities makes him hard to kill and he is on the cheaper side.

Wraiths move much faster, have more OC, if paired with Thralls forces cull the horde, can be targeted by a CCB res orb. Can go through buildings. What does the NB bring to the table honestly?

Silent king's damage output is too weak for 420 points. He is the only character model in 40k that both loses damage output from taking the first 10 damage (2 menhir dead is -12 max damage) and also brackets when his model gets hurt enough.
His abilities arent that great, 3 choice aura and a +1 leadership aura which is very underwhelming on models that generally have a 6+ LD stat.
He should be costed at around 350 points, unless they add a ctan power for the ctan battery on the King's model. If it had something like that, 420 would be appropriate.
