But id be damned if i didnt kill every demigod on the planet just beacuse i wanted their unique weapons/spells/armor and it seems like maxors gonna do the same.

It's not always reusing bosses. Sometimes the bosses are a group of people who look the same or are similar in nature which is why there's so many Mc fucking dragons that look alike. As for morgott he basically used shadow clone jutsu in the last part. Alot of major bosses do it to gage the enemy and tell you to F off your quest is stupid.

25:46 there are only 2 reasons I know of to go to Volcano Manor. You can be invited there and join up or you can die to a specific enemy and get kidnapped. As far as I know Ranni doesn't send you to kill Rykard(Satan) as far as I know but Gideon does on a general mission to learn what happened to various demigods. Unless there is a lore reason I don't know about no one expressly tells you to kill him.
I just remembered his dead servant appears as a ghost asking you to kill him because he can't bear to see what's become of him and his somewhat noble ambition after feeding himself to the serpent for power.

Also, for all the absurdity, Max0r's jokes and references are surprisingly on point - even when it sounds like something he just made up for the video, it's usually an actual feature in the game.

the reason why you fight the "same" enemy is not because they can't die per se, but rather, that you are not actually fighting the same person every time.
it's how every normal dog enemy looks the same, but are not the same dog obviously.
there is also lore reason as to why you face certain enemies more often.
the crucible knights as an example are faced multiple times in combat, but they are not the same person, rather part of the same unit/faction.
obviously there is also a gameplay and resource management side to it, by having enemies be bosses multiple times.
Honstly I would recommend you to react to some of vaatividya's lore videos which explain the world and story of Elden Ring.

They definitely reuse bosses a lot. But I do like the way they do it. Either by fighting astral forms Vs physical forms (like Godfrey or Mohg) or in the case of others, fighting them under different circumstances (godskin duo vs the apostle or noble on their own) or they give them a modified move set (Draconic tree sentinel, or margit/morgott)
They find a decent (not perfect) balance between reusing assets and tweaking them just enough to feel fresh one way or another.
There’s definitely exceptions to this. But overall, I think they did a good job with pasting bosses to other later areas in a new way.

The most reused boss kinda depends on how loose you use the term but the tree spirit boss is used the most , theres 3 large ones, 6 small ones. the large ones being bigger and a having a phase 2 arent really that different. But 9 times being reused is where it would stand but some bosses become normal enemies so you could stretch it.

  • @BlueAsterismSolstice
    @BlueAsterismSolstice Год назад +1

Overall the experience of Elden Ring is incredibly big sort of open world for exploring, so a vast amount of it is treated as optional that you won't necessarily experience all the bosses too many times, but overall the rewards and checking out so much of the game as a freedom you'll experience a lot of similar bosses, but by the time of the end if you seen every boss, the overall variety is actually at a top tier saturation for the game. Though in the early portion it's easy to feel like you're not experiencing it enough. Generally though, you're free to make your own decisions of alliance at any point to complete the paths of and ultimately influence the results of your playthrough into like your own narrative in the story. There's a correct narrative, but the game is purposely trying to keep it to some interpretation of time and place to make the player decide their own more intuitively. A Fromsoft gaming veteran player would otherwise know there's secrets and hidden events everywhere and it's worth checking every corner especially if you'd like reward to playstyle options and learning subtle lore.
For how the gameplay is that's the main experience, but there's many other little things that's between the fun in it, the passion and fun of the community, and the fundamental details people are exposed to that makes them fall in love. It's generally worth playing at least once or twice then watching someone else play and see how differently things went for them and what they made of it all. Max0r does well to come close to the discussing the actual what's going on, by indirectly describing it for comedy. Most of his voice actors don't sound close to the actual characters, but they're still really good picks for their part. Also, at that part he mentions of "take off your skin", he means he wants the armor set that's literally in game of that guy's big jiggly body. The options of fashion are between neat, cool, practical, beautiful, or kinda silly. Usually you can dress up as bosses and NPC's.

I can see why you and many other people would say that they would never be able to beat a Souls game or Elden Ring as they impose pretty difficult challenges, especially for newcomers.
But it's really, really worth a try in my opinion. In fact, the game director Hidetaka Miyazaki himself stated multiple times that his vision was to make every player feel able to beat and enjoy his games if they put in the dedication and are willing to learn. Souls games should not and can never gatekeep with something like artificial difficulty, because all his games are exceptionally fair by design. That's why the devs always choose NOT to include difficulty options, because their games are always only as hard as you make them for yourself. Technically, you could beat every Souls game naked equipped with only a stick and never get hit even once if you get good enough and many people already have.
To many people, including me, Souls games gave dark but fantastic worlds to experience and a space to overcome life's hardships by teaching you that in fact you are not alone in all this mess and nobody really cares if you succeed or fail. Your own will should be the power to drive you and stand right back up after falling. It's the whole point of Dark Souls' story and it's almost therapeutic to a point that it helped many of us cope with depression and alike.
So, I say, don't trust your brain telling you that you can't and just give it a go, die, stand up and continue fighting, until you win. It's incredibly rewarding and you can feel your personal growth while playing.
