Duronto Express ("Rebel" or "rebellious" or "Restless" in a positive way) is a category of long distance trains run by the Indian Railways. The special feature of these trains is that they run non-stop from source to destination, barring technical halts. All Duronto Express trains can be easily recognized by the characteristic yellow-green livery of their passenger coaches. Several Duronto Express services connect the metros and major state capitals of India. The Duronto Express trains are projected to be the fastest trains between the particular pair of cities they serve, although this is not necessarily true for all services.
Since several years, the Government of India's Ministry of Railways (India) has been trying to introduce high speed rail in India. In 2007, the ministry chose the 500-kilometre stretch between Delhi and Amritsar for a pre-feasibility study.[1] The cost for setting up the Delhi-Amritsar corridor is estimated to be around Rs 25,000 crores. On 19 January 2009, the former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav said that his ministry was in the process of appointing global consultants for introducing the high-speed trains on certain routes.Besides the Delhi-Amritsar route, Pune-Mumbai-Ahmedabad, Hyderabad-Dornakal-Vijaywada-Chennai, Chennai-Bangalore-Coimbatore-Ernakulam and Howrah-Haldia.[2] But, this High Speed rail service for India is expected to be completed on a long run. Meanwhile, the new Railway minister of India, Mamata Banerjee announced the introduction of the non-stop Duronto Express trains in the Indian Rail budget 2009-10 as a first step towards high speed rail travel in India.[3] The first Duronto ran between Bangalore and New Delhi, the two most developed and technologically advanced cities in the country. The train ran much faster than the Bangalore Rajdhani Express and saved two hours of journey time between the cities.
THREE Reasons why I consider this ur best upload :
1. I havent seen before any other video of 2 trains running parallel n dat too 4 such a considerable distance.
2. Superb video quality and horizontal angling to perfection.
3. Nearly STILL video in spite of the running train and you being in a standing position near the door with no supportive object to hold on.

What a "fatafati" action !!!!!!! Awesome capture indeed !!!!!
I had also witnessed such a neck to neck parallel action between the PBR-HWH Aradhana Exp. and the PURI-HWH Exp. at 3 A.M early morning which continued from Bagnan to Andul, after which my train, Aradhana Exp. overtook the PURI Exp.
This HWH-KGP section is always a scene for such parrallel actions.
Another great parallel action I witnessed was between ADI-HWH Exp. and DGHA- HWH Kandari Exp.
whoaaaaaaa!!! man, what a race, the other guy must have got a double yellow at the end thats why he pulled back...awesome,spectacular,mesmerizing....this video has gone straight in my favourites section....

Fantastic Overtake. I think that Sealdah - New Delhi Duronto Exp is the 1st Duronto Train of India and Bangalore(BENGALuru) - Nizamuddin Duronto Exp was launched very much later :-)

Well, I am also curious to know if it the common practice in the South, to use both the tracks in the,say, twin system. So far as I know in NR,NER,NWR and WR there is no such practice and the two lines are strictly used for up and down traffic. Anyhow the clip is as nice as the earlier one. Thanks a lot.
