If ya watch her communicate in a normal conversation within an interview if you can find one, you’ll see she’s in a pretty good headspace, her band is killin and if you’ve ever tried to perform with a group of that size and with backup singers and a horn section, a drummer blasting anything he wants, you’ll know that it’s very hard to pull that off in any kind of natural way. Also she’s not touring or doing tons of performances lately so I’d say this came off just about as great as it could have and I’m greatful to have seen in it and her band.

Saw her in concert once at a festival..walked out after 5 minutes..and I wasn't the only one. The self-centredness was so unappealing. Fortunately at a much smaller tent Baaba Maal was performing..Now THAT was a great concert ..the joy in music he, his band and his dancer radiated Lauryn Hill could not ever come close to.
Had to stop and rewind that intro. That down beat took me by surprise. Her sense of composition is sweet and surfaces nicely given a tight band which these were at least at the beginning.
