Hello great video I just have one question I had to replace the seal on my clutch rod as it was leaking but now my clutch rod won’t slide fully back down into the engine and it feels like it’s hitting something do u know how to solve this problem it’s very hard to find info on these bikes
Do the splines interline? As far as I know there's only one way to put it back and it won't fit if you turned the rod. If you can, make a short video of the problem and post in on your channel, then comment here again, I'll see what the problem is and will help you to the best of my ability. I have a full service book for those engines so I'll have to be able to find something.
Hello simon i wish to ask you when the clutch assembly is removed is it normal when you kickstart the yamaha the lever is loose or in other words free and no engine compression?
I changed the clutch with all the discs even the metal ones, I changed the springs but the clutch slips the same every time I accelerate hard. When I start up a hill the clutch shakes. I'm desperate I don't know what to do anymore
Is your clutch basket ok? Does it have signs of wear where the metal plates mesh with the basket? Did you adjust the central bolt correctly? You need to do that when you change the clutch, otherwise you'll burn it straight away.
@@simondoesthings clutch brasket was perfect bike has only 25k km , how to adjust central bolt? i adjusted that it disengages the clutch when i press the leve, is that ok?
The manual states that you need to fully undo the adjustment screw near the lever on the handlebars, then screw in the middle bolt untill you feel it touch the engine's clutch lever
The engine protection bracket needs to be sawed off, not bent, IMHO. It is not needed. If you lay the motorcycle on its left side (soft place), there is no need to drain the oil.
I don't know if I understand you correctly but the clutch kit is from eBay. Generic ED6 Yamaha engine clutch - remember to keep it in oil for 24hrs before install.
@@V6PSC this is a wet type clutch system, the disc is always submerged in oil and the material with which the clutch is made is organic in origin. By keeping it in oil for 24h prior to instal we're giving it the best possible conditions for lasting as a long time. Hope I answered everything 😁
It’s so nice to do jobs like this when your oil pan bolt has not been rounded off and the little bolt near the footrest has not been rounded off too
True, my bike is in very good condition, so I don't have problems like that. I recommend a lot of patience 😂
Mükemmel video olmuş thank you bro :)
La balinera de arranque está en esa área también? Me está dando aguas esa pieza

do they have these friction and steel plates for this bike on Ali Express?
They do - but there so inexpensive you are probably going to spend less buying local when you don't have to pay for shipping

25kkm might wear out the basket if you were hard on the bike

Is this the same as a 2013 clutch
Yes, should be the same 2010-2018
