Fun fact: at one point this was going to be the last series that used the original school building but that fell through, hence the fact that it was suddenly re-built by the next series. Presumably the John Fosters merger would have seen the WR pupils and staff go to them instead of the other way around...
Yeah, it was said in the news before the finale came out that the ending would be to set up waterloo road merging with another school. By the time it fell through, I heard that a lot of series 5 had already been written by then so the storylines had to stay and be altered instead. It's why the John Fosters merger makes little sense.
@@idontknowwhatmyusershouldb3512 It's not the John Foster's merger that makes little sense, it's that barmy decision to move WR north of the border to Greenock, Scotland, and have all the remaining Rochdale WR teachers and pupils all MOVE up there! Now THAT'S barmy!
Notice how Eddie (Neil Morrissey) looks miserable in most of this clip: it's been known for a while now that Morrissey DESPISED Waterloo Road and HATED almost every minute of it, and it seems his expression reflects his antipathy towards the show. He blamed silly storylines, among other things, but then again, we must let him know that Eddie Lawson is a beloved character and that Morrissey didn't waste his time on the show. If I could leave a message for him or his agent saying so, I would.
@@YurielMihailaYT Neil Morrissey was reportedly having financial difficulties at the time and admitted the role was just there to tie him over financially until he was in a better place. He did well to stick to the role though and was one of the better characters IMO, so even when he doesn't like doing something, he won't ruin it for others.
People with Asperger’s only feel uncomfortable being touched by someone who they don’t know or isn’t close with. I’m an adult with Asperger’s and even I don’t like being touched by people I don’t know because it invades my personal space and makes me feel less protected.
@@H.K.5 That's understandable. I just thought Karla couldn't even hug her parents because of how she reacted to being touched; but maybe by this stage she is more comfortable with it.
They were her friends, she had no problem with them touching or hugging her, she'd known them for ages. It's in S5 when Lindsay and her friends grabbed Karla and held her down to write on her forehead, that's when she was terrified.
Ralph is going to prison for 10 years, if he’ll last long. He was a former cop, and I pray, fairly confident, he screwed up a lot of people. A lot of criminals went to jail and possibly innocent people in prison, for bogus crimes. If anything, they’ll probably want a piece of him.
‘Oh someone got there before me’ Grantley’s reaction to the collapsed building is hilarious! 🤣🤣
He's such a Squidward 😂
"You're finished Mason" and "we're gonna be building a future for this community" are two of the funniest lines in this clip.
Nah Grantley's line is best "Oh someone got there before me" 😂
Grantley’s reaction to Danielle starting to sing Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella’ is priceless! 🤣🤣

I wonder where the alternative building would have been?

Fun fact: Waterloo Road is a fictional television programme
@@Matthew-bu7fg Based on fact. Failing British comprehensive schools exist.
Most unbelievable thing about this show was that a police officer got held accountable for his crimes.
Ralph: And I could have gotten away with it if I wasn’t for those Meddling Kids!
When Waterloo Road was Waterloo road
Yep was loads better back then nowadays it's not as good as it was
@@James_Doyle83cause these days they're terrified of insulting the fairies. Lewis Seddon would eat the current kids alive
@@jacobmassey3897ye now it's turned into a fckin generic drama
Yeah I agree. I even thought the one in Scotland was better than todays Waterloo Road in my opinion.

Ralph: Curses! Foiled again!

Yeah I never understood this, the series 3-4 storylines were some of the very best.
Its a shame, he was a great deputy and deserved a head teacher role
If he despised the show he would have quit

But what did Ralph do to Wendy?

Neil Morrisley was Bob the Builder

I thought Karla couldn't handle physical contact due to her Asperger's, but she was hugging people just like everyone else when the choir won.
She learnt to trust people in series 3-4.
