EDIT: I"ve seen several comments on how there is no room for the food! We do ours buffet style! We make way to much food for it to all fit on the table, even when there are no decorations! LOL Plus it's such a pain passing food around! Buffet is the way to go and then your table can stay nice and pretty! 🍁 If you do want to put your food on the table, I suggest having a centerpiece in an easy to remove way, such as in a tray , etc..
The lack of space for food was also in my mind so good to know it is fine!
I liked the Target runner better as it was a simpler backdrop to showcase that great decor and plating. The pottery barn runner would be good for when you need that seasonal color, but are not expecting 6 for dinner. This Pottery Barn vs Target video was fun (and informative). Maybe do it again for all the yearly holidays?
I totally loved both but lean a little more towards the Pottery Barn table linens. Either way I agree that buffet style is the way to go! 🦃
Us too I’ve always gone all out on my table decor and we have dishes a mile long, so all dishes are in the kitchen for buffet style. I do put an ice bucket and tea on the buffet and decorate around it and always keep the salt and pepper and butter on the table to pass.

Yes!!!!! Buffet style! And the guests who are unable to ambulate, there are plenty of folks who will bring their food choices to them.
Everything was very pretty, very festive, but the first table setting was perfection………🥰
I like the Target one more. It’s also really nice that you’re very down to earth about everything and don’t appear as if you’re trying to impress the audience. You genuinely show us a few options and the pros/cons of each. Nice!!

Plus she could have gone to the fabric store and bought a yard of plaid fabric. Also could have gotten nice glassware at the Dollar Tree.
I'm a seamstress so I've made many of my napkins to coordinate...and have gotten many tablecloths from thrift shops!! So many good ideas. Even get asked if I got new dishes- table is always so differrent. Loved the ribbons and candles!

I really loved the Target one better. The simplicity of it and the backdrop with the blessed and black ribbons was super cute.

My fav is finding things at estate sales and consignment stores. I just can’t justify spending PB prices on things that you can find for so much cheaper!

Target and/or Home Goods always wins for me. I like to use bold napkins on a soft colored tablecloth for a nice contrast. Your tablespace is very pretty and the little turkeys are the icing on the cake.
The practical side of me screams Target, but my heart is with the Pottery Barn tablescape. I love the muted fall colours of it, plus I think the black ribbons look great with it. I try to save red for Christmas.
Yes I agree!! While I can’t justify the price, and buy only a few pieces from there once in a blue moon, no one does it better than Pottery Barn…… the quality, high end design, etc.
I actually liked the Target version better. I didn’t care for the plaid from Pottery Barn. This was a fun video to watch!
Both were pretty. I like the pottery barn table scarf but would do all napkins solid color. Such a beautiful table for Thanksgiving.
I love the pottery barn table, but would never pay that price. I searched ‘oversized blanket scarves’ on Amazon and found some really pretty ones between $10-20. Thank you for the idea! I loved how you dressed your table!

Wow! Great video! Those PB prices are insane! I'm sorry, I'm all for making investments when and where it counts. Both were beautiful but I prefer to keep $100.00 in my pocket! Zero people are going to know the difference. You should have done a 3rd one though, a thrift store one for maybe $10!

I like the Target one better. With all the pretty things to look at on the table, the Target one has just enough color to be an accent. Love this video.
I prefer the plaid myself but found a very nice Pendleton throw at the goodwill for six dollars. I’m so happy. Beautiful table. 👍💕
General Dollar had a fall throw that was oranges and yellows would be a perfect replacement for table cloth. Looked allot like pottery barn one. It is amazing and love the candles.
I am all for saving money. When the decor can still be beautiful. Both are beautiful.
In the overall scheme of things, my choice is Target... Pottery Barn's plaid table cover makes it too busy for my eye, but, when using the more subtle cover from Target, more accessory pieces as well as other pieces on the buffet and table tend to stand out more. Atleast to me.... but both are so pretty.. you have a great decorating eye Leslie!! Very nice, thank you!

I prefer the Target one, 2 main reasons: Target throw has fringe on all 4 sides and the orange and red border colors are repeated in the pears. Plus it is "calmer" in pattern. BTW The plates are also available at The Christmas Tree Shoppe (don't know if you have one of those in your area, in some places tit's also called "ThisanThat", it's a subby of Bed, Bath and Beyond) ands I have seen the plates also at Burlington.

They are both lovely; you have such a way of making everything look so good!! Your home is gorgeous,, it looks so cozy and inviting. I think if I had to choose between the two, I’d pick Target mainly just on principle. Pottery Barn is so ridiculously expensive, I have never bought anything there! I’m so sorry about your broken glass….is it replaceable by chance? You’re going to have a beautiful table for Thanksgiving, I’m sure. And this year you’ll have a new little person at your table with the addition of Anthony & Kelsie’s little boy! I’ve been thinking about her because I know her due date was yesterday. I’m anxiously waiting to hear that baby has arrived, and praying for them!!
WOW! I loved the table. I did prefer the pottery barn color over targets. But what I loved most was terracotta pot with fruit and all the decorations on the table. You are so creative.

Very pretty, I like the Target just as well as Pottery Barn, plus you save money. I think the black and white ribbon & bow fits in with the candle sticks and the pots.

Our family does buffet style as well. Both table scapes are beautiful. If I had to pick just one, it's Pottery Barn. I love the plaid. The turkeys add the perfect touch .
With a family of 5 some years back, I preferred a buffet. I think passing around bowls and plates of food is cumbersome while trying to enjoy your own plate of food. Although I do like the Pottery Barn Fall colors for the tablecloth and napkins, I LOVE the huge savings from the Target tablecloth and napkins which is also very nice. Your table decor is so warm and inviting. Love your creative ideas. ❤️

Great idea to use a throw for a table cloth. I love throws and table cloths can be so boring so now I can justify buying some new throws because they have a dual purpose 🤣🤣. We don’t drink wine but we do use fancy stem ware to make our faux wine( white grape juice mixed with ginger ale ) feel fancy for the grandchildren 🍷 Both tablescapes were pretty but I would never pay $90 for a throw and $ 50 for napkins.💰❌🤣🤣
