I am so tired of the repetitive table setting and decor all over RUclips … yours is always refreshing and simple. Not overdone so that nothing stands out .. cluttered with things that just seem to HAVE to be there ! You select your decorative items carefully and with an eye to measure and size and balance. I've seen some of your inspiring videos before and hit "Save." I'm going one step further and subscribing because you have a good eye, explain well and are truly enthusiastic without going overboard. It looks like this all really does help you be happy and more fulfilled. I can spot that! And the expression on your face coupled with the sincere and thoughtful way your eyes express seems to me to be worthy of time spent learning from you. How's that for a glowing moment-it is true and you keep it up, please. Oh, I have a sincere regret about apiece of furniture that I was rather force to sell and that was a beautiful sideboard that came from a" well-heeled" lady in our home church that my Mother bought. Mother used it for years and then, low and behold, she decided on another style and I was the fortunate recipient:) ! It was so beautiful and so useful! Form AND function. I, most unfortunately, sold it, after a number of years putting it to good use and it was so pretty, too! The wood it was made of, the style and period it was, and just looking at it made me happy and I certainly used it all the time! And it is regrettable to me 20+ years later! I have a ten year rule and I broke it! Really needed the money then. I had an antique showcase that did well in a local antique mall and I had put it in there and used it more for display. I just did not have room at a new place I had to move to--but it worked so well in the spot I rented. I also, for health reasons, needed to stop that wonderful, stimulating and special work and on the last day I was taking it out to put it in the special trailer I had for removing what I was taking with me and 3 people rushed me and wanted to know how much it cost! I said that it actually wasn't for sale and then-yes-, numbers started coming at me! There was a bidding war right then and there and it was so surprising. So, I got caught up in the enthusiasm of the sight and sounds right in front of me that I let myself be talked into selling it! But I should have applied my 10 year rule, which is, if something is going to matter to you ten years forward, then keep it, keep whatever the thing is. I definitely "proved" my 10 year theory. I have missed it all these years! Good Grief, right? I look at pictures from so many years before where the sideboard was decorated and oh so useful, too. MISS IT! So, that is my story on that. Your sideboard took me back to that thought. So, don't get rid of yours! Maybe this can be a cautionary tale to you or to someone. I hope so.
