      Thanks for the feedback 🙏. Spent all of yesterday making it haha. I probably won’t use the drill as often after this job but it’s definitely handy to have since it does such accurate holes rather than being on an angle like you can easily do with a hand drill. I definitely needed some recovery time after all those holes haha. Cheers! I’ll be watching your latest saw blade video in just a moment 😎

    Most of the Mag Drills have an oil/lubricant bottle on the side and feed tube to the centre of the drill. The push rod travels up when contacting the material and allows cutting fluid to the inside of the cut. This reduces any smoke and area splash. At least the surface won't rust any time soon. I still would have used a jig for hole punching rather than measuring those 180 odd holes. Great vid!

    • @Fab-Life444
      @Fab-Life444  2 дня назад

      I definitely considered many options but just stuck with what I did in the video. It doesn’t really matter which way I could have done it… there would always been some room for error not matter what. I’ve used the table allot since that video and not once have I used the holes to square anything up. It’s just a great table to be able to clamp anywhere on it. Hope you enjoyed the video and thanks for the comment 🙏🇦🇺

      @Fab-Life444  3 месяца назад +1

      Thanks man. Yeah I did contemplate doing it that way but I saw other people marking the table… wish I didn’t because now I want to sand the marks out haha… oh well you learn from your mistakes. I truly think the tape is the best way because it allows you to sink the centre punch into it a little before you hit it.. much more stable. When I rested it on the raw metal, it easily slipped and would result in a slightly inaccurate placement of the hole. Doesn’t bother me because I’ll probably end up using clamps on it mostly and will always triple check for square

    I've seen guys make a jig for this. As in on the first two rows lay out and drill through table as well as a plate across. Then slide the plate along bolting it to the previous holes and using it as a guide. As long as you get the first rows straight it should work out perfect.

    • @Fab-Life444
      @Fab-Life444  3 месяца назад

      I did see a few videos of people doing that. I thought that no matter how perfect I try to be… I’ll always be off slightly so… I didn’t bother. At the end of the day… I’ll probably just be clamping material down rather than relying on the squareness of my holes haha

    • @handbannana3610

      If you buy the cheap thin table sold at a bunch of different retailers you can use that as your jig and then give it away or cut it up for fixtures. Not sure where you would get them internationally but in the US the same style table is sold by Kluch, Harbor Freight, Vevor etc.

Last thing you want is metal pieces in the bottom of your boots they end up anywhere.
