Very cool! 😊 Here in South Africa we used to get these as Chev Luminas. I had one and looooooooved it! Loved it so much I bought an accident damaged one and swapped the motor and box over into my 1981 Pontiac Trans Am.
I love Emily and Aaron. They are such dear friends and genuinely wonderful people. They are two of the hardest working people I know and I never get tired of seeing their growth and success.
The mid-2000s GTO seriously needs to get some respect from car enthusiasts. Sure its a lot of plastic and doesn't match iconic muscle cars in style. But its a powerful, well handling and affordable sports car. And I quite like the style and shape. Also, its a real Pontiac, and that brand sadly got discontinued just a few years later. So it is one of the last Pontiac models. I think it is a worthy car to bear the name GTO.
@@DeepseaSteve Well yeah, it is an adopted version of a Holden. But it's also a real Pontiac nonetheless, since it is a car in the line of GTOs. It's both, it all depends on the perspective.
Emily and Aaron are the real deal they never claim to be anything but themselves. No arrogance or big ego just down home folks living a dream. I have followed them from the very beginning and enjoy their content.
Omg that is a badass car a very good friend of mine i went to school with had a 1970 Goat Judge with a 455 4 speed the memories will never leave me of the great times we had in that car so want one for myself but prices have took a huge hike with those cars in value it is unbelievable the what those cars cost today . I've had 3 1970 Dodge Chargers and 1 1969 Dodge Charger with a 440 4 speed then went to a 1974 Grand Torino Sport build in canada you can not find the same car anywhere in the United States I've tried. Glad to see that someone absolutely kept there very first car . Love your videos keep it coming love your videos

I had the pleasure to meet them a few years back at a Goodguys show, they're such great people and one of my favorite channels to watch. Roxy is by far my favorite car in their fleet too!
Wow! Great presentation, Musto is excellent, production values top notch. Used to watch Flying Sparks regularly until the episodes started getting super long. Emily with her hair up looks stunning! Genius idea whoever decided on that, and the camera person on her captured her perfectly. Huge thumbs up. Exploring today after hearing about Motortrend. Don't ya just hate big Corporations? No loyalty, no concern for anything except the bottom line.
Thank you!! Really appreciate that. It's a shame what happened over at MT - loads of great people over there. But we're going to do our best to fill that void and keep bringing you some great content!
I had that exact car! It was definitely a sleeper. But, I had nothing but trouble with it. The very next day after i bought it, it wouldn't go over 35 mph. Took it back to the dealership where it was determined i had a faulty accelerator sensor. Then, after my first tire rotation I noticed some exposed metal on my back tires. Upon further inspection it had nearly half inch grooves carved into the sidewalls! They said from some crushed bushings on the strut towers rubbing. There was NO way the technicians didn't notice the damage to both tires before they put them back on my car! Over the next year or so those kind of issues kept popping up, i had enough and got rid of it. In spite of all that, I still loved driving it and sometimes wish I'd never got rid of it. You just don't see them on the road anymore.

@@hemmingsmotornews also it's cool you have Mike doing these interviews. I remember seeing him on Bullrun when I was younger and pissed Mr. Angry was eliminated after the carb choking itself with the elevation changes. Haha good times
Holden, had an 04 5.7 , I missed my 97 z28 so much I traded it for an 01 SS Camaro. 14 SS 1LE bought new and I’m good with it, as my 97 was a white 30th, the 14 is white n black. Funny how you work your way back to your color.
Listing off specs, build info, all the while ripping a 600 + HP car - no one but Mr Musto can pull that off so well. And the "walking in circles" joke made me laugh out loud! Mr and Mrs Reeves have done so much great work with this (and many other cars), but I'm fairly confident they'll never wrap it (iykyk). Thank you as always Hemmings and Mr Musto ~ Chuck
these cars were disappointing and very underwhelming.. i always loved the muscle car GTOs and i remember being about 24 when these came out and thinking, "them shits look like a cavalier, just with a vette motor.. just another parts bin special from GM, nothing actually bespoke about it.." and a 30,000 production run is NOT rare.. the reason you don't see them is because they didn't last and aren't worth enough to bother collecting.

Id love to see you go review MercantSVT's cars. Love his fords
Idc what anyone say this car brought Muscle back. I still love it for the subtle styling. No GM’s had interiors like that back then.
These cars were underrated then, and they're underrated now.
Its crazy hearing these other countries talk about diff names of the same car... Some of those names they have fwd 4cyl here in the US 😂
Anyone who critisizes these cars has never driven one!
They're a riot to drive!

I still have my first truck 76 Chevy 😊
Don't ever sell it!
Supercharger wine makes that goat 10 X better than stock.....sound alone.
A supercharge whine makes everything better!
Those year of GTO'S are certainly not a sleeper! When I see one in the streets I think about a de-tuned Corvette. 😆
That's a great way to think about it! Not a sleeper at all.
Modern day Monaro. Looked so much better with its original front bar. That pontiac grill is so whack.
Nice Goat!! Solid Build.. put a Snow Methanol kit on her, she wont budge in temperature. Im so glad i did on my Procharged Camaro.
It would definitely make for an interesting build!

How can I get my car on the show?
It's actually a Holden commodore gto lol
You mean Holden Monaro?
ROXY AND HER OWNER IS ONE OF AKIND
So they met when she was 14 and he was an adult mechanic?
Iirc he was 16 or 17 and working in his family shop. Also she pursued him.
Very.. very cool.
Glad you think so!
In 2005 that car was expensive it was close to a price of a Corvette
It was, but 4 seats make is 100% usable for many buyers.
Ahhh the last Pontiac Sunfire
Copy in the Monaro!!

An 'Australian' Holden. Stealing a G.T. O. 's Badging. Is, & never will be a G.T.O!!
I keep telling people that it's a rebadged Holden Monaro but they seemed to be in denial LOL!!!!!!!!!
Stock was good. No need to make it less reliable and lower value.
Supercharged is better...
Stock was good, modded is substantially better. Also value does not matter if she's keeping it forever. Sometimes fun has value too
