@@MikeandLauraTravel we were before I (Krystal) had double hip surgery. It's been a year since the operation but I'm still pretty limited in what I can do. Maybe one day again!
I just did this hike 2 weeks ago, the last mile or 1.5 miles were total snow. It was insane! I had broken my phone on another hike so I was going blind.. luckily a Frenchman helped me find the trail from La Flegere. Thanks for sharing! I don’t have pics but I can send this to people to show what I did haha.
I tried to hike up to Lac Blanc during my 3-day stop in Chamonix a few weeks ago, but it rained buckets halfway and I was forced to abort the plan and turn back ☹️ I didn't even manage to get above the clouds
You must know this already, being the hiker you are but... Better safe than sorry. Your safety matters. It's a bummer you couldn't have made it that time but we're glad you gave it a go! Thanks for sharing Russell 🤙 Hopefully there will be a next time and you won't get rained out
Hello, We are going to chamonix in one week and would like to do this hike but I am not decide if to take the gondola and then walk to the lake or to walk entire hike. How many hours did it take from chamonix to that restaurant? Just try to decide if worth it to take the gondola for that part to save energy :) Thanks in advance
Hey Mariana! First of all, you are going to have so much fun regardless of which way you decide. The restaurant was probably an hour into the hike from town. We would suggest bringing snacks anyway but hopefully that helps! This is a long hike! 15 miles in total I believe.
Do you know of All trails the app? In that app look up "Lac Blanc from Golf de Chamonix" and you'll find some fantastic directions with a map. The hike from town is much farther and challenging. Very worthwhile! Thanks for asking!

I drank some in Colorado once and I was paranoid for the next three days 😂 but this water was insanely clear, you're right! And definitely smart advice about the sheep!
This looked like an awesome adventure! The lake is just breathtaking but so is the view the whole way up (after the fog lol). Thanks for sharing :)
Honestly, we would do it again! If for nothing more than the challenge! Are you guys hikers?!

Hi there, I'm off to do this walk in a couple of weeks, we're there any ladders on the route as I'm taking the hound? Regards
Pete! No ladders for this hike. All hills! You and your pup are good to go!
Hi, thanks for sharing! What was the date of this hike? I am planning to go early november, but don’t know what the conditions are gonna be...
