Whats worse as a flash fan. He doesnt even get a cutscene, his model just ragdolls on the ground and Captain Boomerang goes to piss on his body. Why is it that game and small animation companies think we hate the flash or see him as a joke? We love him, like what the fuck?
I already dread Lantern's death. Batman, Flash and Lantern are my favorite DC characters.

The fact that he died sitting on a bench basically like a kid being scolded by his mother was terrible. This version of Batman has been shown being a literal badass and in 2 of his games he was either being poisoned by tainted blood or doped up with fear toxin and still won the day.

For what it’s worth, I can’t blame them for this being Kevin Conroy‘s last scene, since they couldn’t have known what would happen to him. But I agree that this is an awful way for Arkham Batman to end.
The only real upside of the scene is, I like the fact, even in his corrupted state, Batman respects Superman as he believes the Man of Steel will avenge the corrupted justice league. I also like the fact, Harley mentions that they couldn’t have stopped the justice league without the assistance of Batman’s contingency plans meaning that Bruce is still responsible for saving the world.
But that is just the silver lining of a very, very gray cloud. I’m just saying, Lego Batman 3 handle the idea of brainiac controlling Batman better than this.
Even then through Batman plan let’s be real I just seeing them them not even using any of Batman plans just shooting and it’s regular ppl if anything ppl we know definitely can’t beat them even with Batman help.

I genuinely wish Conroys final project could have been something amazing. Something that we look bnack on 20 years later as a remarkable experience. But now, Im just going to try to erase this horrible excuuse for a video game out of my head. Obviously WB didnt know that Kevin was going to die, so Im not saying its their fault but geez dude. Have more respect for the character of Batman. Have more respect for the fans. We would rather a Arkham Orgins remaster than whatever the hell this game is.
That's not Batman I believe that's a batman variant so that's not really him and I think in the trailer somewhere it shows him using scarecrows gas so don't get all mad yet he ain't died and if that is batman I bet he would come back to live who knows the game is still brand new and who knows what they can do to batman. They still got a lot of stuff to add to the game.
And he's wearing an army that would've protected him from the shot. He could come back like iron man when he killed Thanos 😂

I got burned by live service games before. Marvel's Avengers was a big letdown. Live service mechanics ruined the game for me. I am digging the story of this game.

But honestly you left out a big major problem with this argument first of all the fact that Harley Quinn kills Batman isn't really the problem if it dumb that he dies sure he is human so him dying from a single gunshot wound is actually not dumb but having Harley be the one to do it actually does make canonical for all the things that Batman did or took part in in the history with Harley cuz he has a lot of history and there is a fan theory that he is the reason why the child that she was going to have die

Is this confirmed the Batman we controlled and played as or is This JL from another earth. They all look slightly different so maybe there I'd more clues to tell us . Plus we need a solo flash and superman game and Arrow show redeemed green arrow and made him Batman level we need a game like arkham but arrow
I do not think fans of the Arkhamverse are scared of a departure from what we've had, but when it is a departure this drastic, it feels alienating to the audience. It is like Rocksteady isn't in tune with their fanbase.
Also, the scale of this game scares the hell out of me and out of others. We have never seen any justice league member before. We have only heard of some characters and cities. The closest we really got besides mentions was lex luthors voice messages in Wayne Tower. Not only are we possibly about to kill the justice league as someone other than batman, but we are about to explore the multiverse. That is a MASSIVE pill to swallow for most fans, especially some of us hardcore fans.
Also, people are scared of some of the story. How will they handle batman coming back? It really shakes up the ending of Arkham Knight and how emotional that moment was for fans. Also, King Shark in lore... as far as I am aware... is dead. Also, Deadshot has been an entirely different person across 3 games and a movie.
Rocksteady has also been known to make trends and not chase them. Arkham was so different and unique, but a lot of this gameplay is boring. Most traversal looks like it might be great, but they really creatively crippled themselves with the gameplay, especially with DLC characters. Everyone has to have a gun, no matter what, that's fine for some characters, but if they add killer frost or killer croc, most want to use them for their powers. Not to upgrade their guns and just have their traversal be different.
We were batman for 4 games and we're supposed to accept that we kill ourself practically? Even if it's a fake out, I'm tired of FAKE OUTS. Rocksteady has been terrible about allowing us to let a character go. I do admit, I wanted batman in this game, but mostly I fantasize about seeing him more than anything this game has to offer. Everything I have seen has been arcadey mobile game bs, BESIDES traversal.
It's hard to be excited for a game that is so shoehorned into existence, rather than fantasize about what could have been and done easier with a way better gameplay hook and compelling story. It's just hard to believe this is what we get after almost a decade.

Well said. I saw it this morning and felt the same way. They built a legacy around the Arkham series then disrespected it all. The first entry with the Justice League and they die to a street level team? They did even let Batman go down swinging or out with a bang. They sat him down and shot him. It’s heartbreaking because DC and Rocksteady allowed this level of disrespect to happen to our hero.
BATMAN is a LEGEND. He wasn't supposed to go out like this. He wasn't a metahuman, he was US.

I’m so upset because they killed Batman. WE all were this Batman for 15 Years, playing as him, stopping criminals, and they basically just kill him like he was nothing. Rocksteady has spit in our faces, RIP BATMAN, RIP KEVIN CONROY.
I honestly wouldnt have cared if it was just set in some random universe, hell it wouldve been almost fun to play, but the fact that they tied this directly to the ARKHAM games, the best games weve ever gotten for any DC character is actually disgusting to me. I refuse to buy the game, im watching the suicide squad take the mickey out of Arkham characters we grew attached to like Penguin and Batman like they were some sort of joke and just wondering "why?"

But at least, if there really was no way of changing his fate, Harley is the one who pulls the trigger since she has the most history with him out of the squad. @@apexsmokepacker I think you misunderstood me, what I meant to say was that at least she was the one to do the killing blow. Obviously she can’t kill Batman on her own, which is why in the actual boss fight, it takes her, the son of a shark god, the world’s deadliest assassin, and a guy who can throw boomerangs (tbh captain boomerang is definitely questionable but at least he has the speed force gauntlets which do give him an edge in combat), to actually wear him down.
This game is an insult to Batman, the Bat Family, The Justice League and DC as a whole. This game deserves to fail, no one should buy it.
Luckily Kevin Conroy’s last performance won’t be this game, he’ll make one more appearance in the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earth animated movie.

100% agreed. Why would anyone really want to play as a bunch of mediocre villains and kill Superman, Batman and the rest of the Justice League? The premise of having a JL game within the Arkhamverse could've worked better if the scenario was flipped. If a post Arkham Knight Batman had to solve the murders of Amanda Waller and the Suicide Squad that several Justice League members were framed for, culminating in Batman exposing some grand worldwide conspiracy between masterminds like Lex Luthor, Vandal Savage and Gorilla Grodd; that would be a much more awesome game that fans would want to play! But instead, we're suppose to enjoy killing these iconic heroes in totally profane bloodshed, no thanks. I'd rather just play Batman: Arkham City again for the umpteenth time.

I totally agree. This is the WORST possible way to end Kevin Conroy's Batman. I remember playing the first game when I was 13 years back to back 3 TIMES. Not 3 separate games back to back, but Arkham Asylum 3 TIMES back to back. I was hoping that this game even though being called "Kill the Justice league" would at LEAST give the choice between either killing them or sparing them. (And depending on which you chose would change the outcome of the story.) I of course would spare all of them. Or if they were going to die, give them a better death than being shot in the head by a thug. Even though I HATED Gotham Knights, they actually gave Batman a meaningful death! (Twice) He was heroic! But this? He wasn't attacking them in that moment, so it can't be chalked up to "self-defense" She MURDERED the Dark Knight. I won't pay for a game that murders Batman.

What’s worse is that Batman had the BEST death so far out of the JL and it’s absolute garbage, from what I’ve heard, the flash just gets ragdolled and literally pissed on, John Stewart gets left dead in his underwear, and Superman gets ragdolled in a cutscene and boom, dead.

Even if this wasn't set in the Arkham universe,even if Kevin Conroy didn't pass away and this was his last roll as Batman and overall this game sucks.....The game play looks average,the character's are awful and they kill the justice league in the most boring way possible, with bullets.......What a waist of an idea(Although you could have just made a Justice League game)It really makes Arkham nights ending better in retrospect

I've tried to come in with an open mind. "If it's bad, we can ignore it. The other games are still there." But this leaves such a bad taste in my mouth. The first game attached to the arkham franchise since the departure of the original series creators and not only is it something no one asked for, but the disrespect for the characters that made this game possible is insane. It really feels like the game had to be attached to arkham, not that it gets to be. It just seems like they either never played the games or are trying to distance themselves from the series to stand out. Killing batman in such a pitiful way and bringing back joker AGAIN, this time as a cartoon character. Just give me another reason not to buy this
