Thanks for the review. I’m considering upgrading to hvlp to get away from rattle cans since I hate brushing on poly. Have you tried water based poly on this gun, and if so how did you like it?
Was checking this unit out at Woodcraft yesterday. Thanks for your post on its review! So, your use of the Zin 123 water base primer leads me to believe that your finish coat was also H2O based? Have you ran any oil based products through the system yet?
Did it have a tip in the gun already or was the one in the package the only one? Have you sprayed poly out of that system yet? If so what size tip did you use?
I've only sprayed what you see. It comes with the gun. It comes with a 1.5mm tip that's says it for thinner things like stain and poly but had s 2mm for paint and primer.
Dog: I'm blue daba-di-dabah-dy... I know it's just the reflection, but funny XD. Great vid BTW. Thx

Only water so far. I have a lvlp for oil based paint. It gives me even more control than this.
@@averagediyguy2503 What sprayer would you recommend for polyurethane?
@@Chip57 No. Just water based. I rarely use oil based anything.

I thought the gun was different than the 5500… looks identical.. i might just stick with my earlex 5500
@spkendrick I wanted the 5500 because it is all self contained. I couldn't get it at the time I got this one.
It sprays very good but what I'm trying to figure out is how the tip can crack
@@kennyballoo8701 dunno. Mine is working perfectly fine. May be a defect in the casting.
