I play this game and I became a merchant instead of a pirate. LOL. I trade gunpowder, oil, rum, buy them when cheap then sell them when expensive. They are light weight so can carry more.

Honestly this is an amazing game considering that it's free, If it was worked on a little bit more and they added a little bit more I would 100% pay for it.
A walk around town would be an amazing addition! I only got this game yesterday and I’m enjoying it so far. It’s easier to trade than attack other ships lol.
@@Wessex90 Its a bit of a struggle in the beginning but keep at combat and you get better. My Advice would be to get the grappling hooks captain ability as soon as you can. Its so much easier to take a ship by boarded combat than to actually fight and take the damage, especially if you have the musket and falconets uprgades on your ship.
Another tip would be, before boarding, or even if you want to take a ship in combat, Take out it's crew as much as possible, shoot the ship with cannonballs until it's broadside is down to half, then start peppering the ship with grapeshot.
Oliver that’s most interesting and thanks for the tips 👍👍. I love the open world feature and looking for wrecks. I thought I was about to capture an abandoned brig then it turned out to be a trap so ended up destroying it lol.

@@ICaligvla that's the preferred method to take a larger ship such as a 1rst rate because even with a highly upgraded crew odds are you wont have the numbers to claim it after the fight

PS I would personally like to see more active sea effects. (waves, weather etc, ship physics)

Question, can you take every island from the nations? Because I have every upgrade for all 4 1ste rateships from my fleet, all upgrades from all my pirate ports, 95000 coins spare money, all missions and maps completed.
I remember I played this game to death before it got hard (early 2016). Now that I got it back on a new phone and saved all of my data, I still had my 3 2nd-rates and 1-1st rate as my powerhouse. Now it grew to 5 2nd-rates, 3 1st-rates, 7 frigates, 2 galleys, and 3 man-o-wars. Basically I'm unstoppable lol.
And being the weeb I am I named one Yamato and the rest is history

I like this and love sinking ships and pirate ships.
What I do is I avoid battles and go for sloops and crates and sell crates and sometimes keep the sloops or sell em but I keep selling until I have enough for ships simple
When I first started I don't think I could get buy any ship bigger than 12 cannons. 9km/h makes it pretty slow if you are chasing other ships.

this game i feel isn't good enough but has tons of potential. i kind think of what i think it should have. I think that we should have a crew of men to arrange and train. just this would make it 10x more interesting

You can actually just put a captured ship in port without de-crewing it. Just click on the ship icon and you can set it to "Stay in Docks"

My fleet is amazing but i have crippling debt because my crew is so big my payment is like 20,000 coins and i have to capture towns constantly to pay them

also, I know my ships have mortars activated but how do you use them. I always see I don't have any shots for the mortars when I'm in battles.

Buy a bomb so your mortar can shot the mortar ammo will hit in a white circle form...

I said in the video I had been playing for a bit. I didn't start the series until a bit late. You only have one account, so I couldn't start over.

I can't fight so well because of the red thingy that makes the speed so slow
That's the wind against you
The blue arrows show where the wind is blowing, if its in front of you the "red thingy" will show up, it basically means your going against the wind and that's why your so slow
This wouldn't affect you much if your ship is steam powered or if you have modified square sails
It would affect you more than usual if your sailing a ship with stay sails (sails that don't move and are fixed in one position only)

David Wahlberg I had two ships and I fought with one and I totally lost it. I got back only the cargo it was carrying
If you have 1 ship you will restart at port with your u ship like was before you started battles if you have more than 1 and lose 1 you will be controlling the other 1 or the one closest to you if you don't want to lose your ship go to menu and click restart and you will be back at port jus time if you lose your fist ship in battle
you will re spawn at the latest port you were at

You need to get the commander skill to be able to board ships.

In order to sell them, you need to go to a faction port, not a pirate port. A pirate port will only allow you to dismantle them for parts.

If you join a nation, you can find a mission where you must capture a stronger ship but guarded by other ships. I found one and it was worth it. Now i have Galleon

Zodiac 12 Spain has the most ports and is the most likely one i would join. Not sure yet though. I may decide to just be a Pirate Nation and kill everyone and take over all the ports ;)

How do i minimize the game it doesn't all fit on my screen and windowed mode is worse
alt + tab to minimize. I play full screen and have 2 monitors. So I'm not too sure. Try the discussion forums on Steam for the game

I know you can use real world money to buy ships and I'm almost positive you can use in game money to buy ships. But they are not that good. The best way to get ships is how you see me do it. By capturing them and slowly upgrading your fleet. Thank you for the subscription! :)

I downloaded this game as a joke back in 2016 thinking it would be another ship battle game, but I've spent over 1000 hours on it, please help.

took me about four hours of grinding to get the galleon.
I was gonna say why not steal one, but those galleon missions are hard nowadays. it says 1 galleon and 1 2nd rate, gives me 1 first rate 2 2nd rates and the galleon.

i play this on my phone and i have 3 1rst rates, 8 galleons and 6 corvtte at Nassau

i have 2 2nd rate 2 war galleon three normal ones and 9 corvettes
instead of having so many ships you can sell a few and upgrade ur best ship
I probably have 15 1st rate, 9-10 2nd rate, many war galleons, but my favorite ship is corvette and snow, those are very fast and can turn very fast, most of those ships are spread across the pirate and british ports. i do it to access any port without sailing there. trick is i keep enough crew to sail 4 ships, other ships has no crew.

Appreciate the compliment. I wont be doing videos anymore. RUclips are a bunch of stingy dbags. Its a long story, but Im not going to waste my time and effort when every time I put a video up I get a copyright claim and they wont do a thing about it. Anyone seems to be able to just go around and copyright claim videos. I have lost so many videos because of this and Im not wasting my time and energy on this shitty company anymore. I sometimes stream on Twitch, its been a while though. I usually just play casual now. RUclips isnt worth the time and effort anymore. I am yet to receive a check from them, even though according to my stats, they owe me a good amount. But because they just recently "cut my partnership" because I wasnt getting enough monthly views, they dont have to pay me a single penny that was owed from months and months ago. *shrug* Fuck RUclips.

I agree. It is what it is. I had all kinds of plans to make a new series out of this and to even play the Undead version of the game. After all that crap happened with my Battletech series and a few others, I didnt see a point. Its sad, because I do enjoy making them. Im just not going to do it if RUclips just lets anyone file a copyright clai anytime they want. I even had a copyright claim filed for music on a game that I had all the sound turned off when I recorded. Its pathetic.

Galeon is bad ship dude, that no go angle is so big- the red area where you can't sail. And she can't get trough no go zone on one pass, basicaly imobile like 1st rate but at tier 3 garbo ship and that huge hull too barely ever missing that even on max range. Brig is much better at that tier, more mobility passes no go zone on one pass and much smaller target so some shots miss it.
I dont get this game I try to take a ship over but the little box dont show up for me
k95831 you have to have to skill to board ships. you get skill points from leveling.

Dang, why you killing pirates in a pirate game...seems like they forgot about the whole honor among thieves thing...Also why are you buying anything real or fake when you are a pirate to plunder it? Seems like a strange grind. I'm working on a new pirate RPG

I Tryed lucky patcher i patch pirate caribbean try it guys its really works
heres a pro tip: attack the sails, stop the ship, cannon the shit out of them, dont destroy them, kill the people with the grapeshot and capture the ship. thats that i do and it NEVER fails, also you can do the whole thing with one ship if you have gunpowder and drop it if your being chased by alot of enemies.💣💥
This game is super awesome. i got addicted to it. Ubisoft should learn from this developer, they could add these extra features to blackflag. I mean those little details!! those damaged holes, wind, the detail of the ship, its amazing its a mobile game! just imagine how great it would be if they make a PC version with more detailed game. a REAL PIRATE GAME.
