The pacifier is just so sexy. I've got one but have never even undocked just because replacing it would cost 80% of my total net worth. It's so pretty to look at in station though 🤣
I have 2 of these I use to commute back and forth between Amarr and Jita. I have them set up to warp at 19.63AU. In the lows I have 2 expanded cargo holds and 2 prototype hyperspatial accelerators. The high just has a covert ops cloak and the mids are a mwd and some shields. 2 hyperspatial velocity optimizer II's round out the fit. I love all of the Concord ships and this might be my favorite. Great video! (edit) I understand this is a gross underutilization of this ship but man its sexy to look at on that boring trip.
Yeah, I'm definitely a fan of this ship, and I don't really have the stones to fly it dangerously either! I do have a valid use for it, though it only actually comes out every 3 or 4 months. This one is set up just to run The Blood Stained Stars Epic Arc to fix standings when necessary. Since getting this ship I find myself doing it every time I can even if my standings are OK. I run it with a +10 % warp speed implant and a +5 % agility implant, giving me 18.75 AU/s warp speed and 2.97 s align time while retaining the necessary combat capability to complete the mission. In this ship I can do it in about 3.5 hours total, probably a touch faster if I put my mind to it. The stuff in the cargo hold I will swap in for certain individual missions, like the one delivery mission that requires all 150 m3 of cargo space. It will take out Dagan without the extra heat sinks, but it's faster if you put them in for that one mission. It also doesn't need the cloak, but if I CAN put a covops cloak on a ship, why wouldn't I? I also run it with the DED Master at Arms Recruiter skin. I figure if you're going to spend silly ISK on a ship to do one thing every 3 months, why not spend even more ISK to put a skin on it? I've replaced mine with the anathema, it just lacks the cargo space for running with eve-scout. The cache supplies fill it up enough that I can't really run many sites before I'm full.
@@captainbenzie if only CCP hadn't made the nullification changes... Basically killed my SARgue fit or I would still be running that. (Just can't do C1 or C13 holes with the tengu)... Now that had enough cargo for everything I do
Another good video as always. you are fast becoming my go to source atm. Search for something in eve and sure enough theres brenzie with a video on it. Id just heard about this ship as Im settling back into new eden. I'm likely about to bring on a 5th account for a while as a dedicated scanner. That way if he gets stuck somewhere mapping the chain its not too big of a deal. I really dont like my main toons out away from home much. Im really torn as I love the looks of this ship but yes a comparable fit is 200-225 mill more than other cov ops. Plus its missing a 5th mid slot that the buzzard/helios has. Its like hrrm is it worth the extra cost and will people really want to nuke you more when flying it over a normal cov ops. Though aside from smart bombs and if you don't make a mistake (like I did with my helios recently due to being rusty) you shouldnt have to worry about getting caught too often. I know you love your minmatar ships brenzie, but why do you like the cheetah so much? Wouldnt a buzzard or Helios be a better more useful scout/scanner with their 5 mid slots? The buzzard slooks are soso but at least its symmetrical. The helios looks like it crashed into something and got bent all over. I love the astero and the looks of it. However for some strange reason ccp decided not to call it a cov ops so we could get the benefit of that skill, and worse yet wont allow us to fit the interdiction nullifier to it. Before my 6 year break, this had been my go to scout/scanner. now it looks to be relegated to the hangar.
The Buzzard and Helios having 5 mids is nice when your scanning skills are lower. But once your skills give you 90-100+ Scan Strength, the rest is kinda meh. The Cheetah is faster to align and move, and with a smaller signature radius, takes longer for them to lock on to. All four Covert Ops have their own unique advantages and disadvantages. None of them is flat out better than any of the others.
I won an Enfrocer on the Hypernet (along with a Golem and a Legion all for less than the price of a Golem), and I've never flown it and don't see it being used anytime soon. The main use I see for it lowsec is as a small, fast and tanky covert cyno ship for hot dropping.
I've seen Ashterothi doing SoE epic arc in it and I was enjoying it, especially warp hyperspatial fit with ascendancy implants and agility boosters that dropped during the event. The thing with Pacifier is it has 4 hardpoints but only 5 high slots so once you put cloak and probe launcher you are down to 3 which is kinda annoying. They added extra high slot for utility to enforcer when they buffed concord ships but pacifier was skipped. Hull is paper thin so I'm always on the edge even in highsec. I feel someone can alpha me on the undock if they can lock fast enough. In the low sec people are usually either spooked or extremely horny to hunt you down. At the end of the day hull price is a big turn-off for me. I even stopped flying Astero since new faction exploration frigates can be way scarier.
I had my first run in with this the other day, some smart bomb blob camp, lost my tengu, they popped me before I could finish saying "Oh shi..." (got too comfortable, which is a telltale sign I'm about to lose my ship xD)
i love this ship for catching and killing other exploration ships, and have it fitted with neutron blasters that do rougly 370 dps overheated with my skills. warp core stabilizer are def a good idea, but aint helping you if attacker have faction scrams, that i use on all my pvp ships because of that module. interdiction nullifier are allso great if pilots know how to use them tho we killed alot of asteros in bubble trap with nullifier, they just dont know how and when to use it. zeugma module great for saving a slot, just keep it mind when you use it, the normal data or relic analyzer are actually better and stronger for the fraction of the price:)
Agreed with everything EXCEPT the Zeugma. If you have Hacking/Archeology leveled, the Zeugma is FAR superior. They have the same Virus Strength, but the Zeugma, though it has lower base cohesion, benefits from both skills and ends up much higher. It does only have a single slot for Utility Subsystems but in years of hacking I've never felt like I needed more than one. You leave them when you find them, and then grab the ones you need when you need to use them.
@@captainbenzie ooh ok my bad, have missed that part that it benefit from both skills. still a really expencive module but guess it then maby worth it if you rarely loose your scanning ship. the more people using them, the better payday we get if they dropp tho :P
