For all the Non Indian viewers curious about the details of the dominar 400 This bike was designed to enter the Indian 350 cc+ market which had a lot of competition from Royal Enfield. The Dominar was also known as the Enfield killer in it's segment because even in their official launch trailer (which is available on RUclips btw) Bajaj showed the Royal Enfield bikes as elephants which is kind of true due to their sluggish acceleration and low maneuverability on off road conditions and sharp bends. The Dominar 400 boasts of a higher power displacement and advanced abs features which were not seen in by Indian Motorcycle manufacturers. I commute 60 kms a day and have clocked a milage of 5600 km on my Bajaj Dominar 400 UG. City milage is 32 - 36 kmpl depending upon the driving style. If driven hard it returns a milage of 23 - 25kmpl. If ride properly while keeping the rpm between 3000 - 3500 and shifting the gears at the right moment the bike has returned a milage of 43 kmpl in slow moving traffic at a pace of 47 km/h. On highways at speeds between 100 - 120 kmph, the bike returns an average of 28 kmpl.
However at stop and go traffic the weight can be felt. once it hits 15km/h its manageable. After that the bikes does feel heavy but is easily manageable. when stationary once the bikes flip to 85°, the bike being heavy, its a struggle once again to bring the bike to 90° position. If you are below 5'8" would suggest to take a test ride and especially try to handle the bike when stationary before finalizing on the bike.
