Awesome review from a viewer in 🇺🇸! It is basically the same bike as the KTM Duke 390. Honestly I prefer the Kawasaki / Bajaj design over KTM but there are no Bajaj dealers and Kawasaki doesn’t sell this bike in the USA.

Just sharing some info on Dominar 400 for my friends out there in phillippines.
I commute 60 kms a day and have clocked a milage of 5600 km on my Bajaj Dominar 400 UG. City milage is 32 - 36 kmpl depending upon the driving style. If driven hard it returns a milage of 23 - 25kmpl. If ride properly while keeping the rpm between 3000 - 3500 and shifting the gears at the right moment the bike has returned a milage of 43 kmpl in slow moving traffic at a pace of 47 km/h. On highways at speeds between 100 - 120 kmph, the bike returns an average of 28 kmpl.
However at stop and go traffic the weight can be felt. once it hits 15km/h its manageable. After that the bikes does feel heavy but is easily manageable. when stationary once the bikes flip to 85°, the bike being heavy, its a struggle once again to bring the bike to 90° position. If you are below 5'8" would suggest to take a test ride and especially try to handle the bike when stationary before finalizing on the bike.
Conclusion: Excellent bike to own and ride if you can handle it's weight.

Nice information and thank so much for doing this in English. My wife and I own a condo right beside the NLEx in San Fernando that we'll be moving to for good this October so I think a bike like this would be just about perfect as long as at 6 feet tall I wouldn't feel too big for it. The seats look like they'd be comfortable for both the owner and passenger in 2 up riding. After the older Suzuki Katana 1100 I just sold this would feel nice and light, and the gas mileage would be amazing.

    Just some points..
An Inverted Fork or Upside Down Fork IS a Telescopic Fork wherein a tube slides up and down another tube to absorb bumps. I think what you where trying to say was the Inverted Fork on the UG is better than the Conventional Telescopic Fork on the earlier model.
Also the engine is similar to the KTM 390 Duke as it was derived from that, but it is not the exact same. For example, the 390 Duke engine does not use 3 spark plugs.

I just saw this brand and bike for the first time this week in Thailand. It's basically the Duke 390 minus the TFT and an incredible value. My concerns are reliability and service and parts availability. I'm not so much worried about resale value as I tend to keep my things for a long time, and the bike is plenty big for SE Asia. I'd really appreciate seeing future updates..

For all the Non Indian viewers curious about the details of the dominar 400
This bike was designed to enter the Indian 350 cc+ market which had a lot of competition from Royal Enfield.
The Dominar was also known as the Enfield killer in it's segment because even in their official launch trailer (which is available on RUclips btw) Bajaj showed the Royal Enfield bikes as elephants which is kind of true due to their sluggish acceleration and low maneuverability on off road conditions and sharp bends.
The Dominar 400 boasts of a higher power displacement and advanced abs features which were not seen in by Indian Motorcycle manufacturers.
The bike riding posture is very comfortable even though it may seem a bit aggressive in the videos shown.
The service that Bajaj gives in India is unmatched in terms of parts and other maintenance issues , which can be fixed almost anywhere in India as Bajaj has an extensive service center chain all over the country.
    I own a 2018 Dominar 400 (BLACK)
And the only issues i face is
    1. The engine overheating when driving in heavily congested areas with slow moving traffic.
    2. The rear brakes could be improved but the bike also weighs almost 170 kgs with accessories attached so i guess they're doing their best 😂.
Hope this cleared some doubts before buying this beast 👊🏻

Other than that, the myths of vibrations and all, don't really seem that prominent. Be on top of the rusting black screws and bolts. Use a tooth brush and some WD 40 regularly bro.

It may be a problem for you in traffic because of weight and you will have to stabilize the weight using a single leg and if you can handle it then go for it 🙂👍
