Fun fact, those two tiny red dots on either side of the two-spotted spider mite's body are the eyes! You would expect mite eyes to be on that small head-like structure considering that's what most arachnids are like, but it isn't even really a head. Mites don't really have a defined cephalothorax vs abdomen like we see in spiders; they still exist, they're just merged together rather than segmented. While many mites are blind, those that do have eyes typically have them on the "abdomen" like seen with the two spotted spider mite! Personally I find this really endearing, it makes them look very goofy when you really think about it.

The scary music in the fake microscope videos is a dead giveaway! The first question I ask myself watching something like that is if it feels like they're farming engagement. It's not always the case, but things I look out for are dramatic music, hyperbolic wording, the thing in question being something we assume is perfectly safe, and the amount of tags on the video. Generally if it looks like they're trying to bait people into reacting to their content, I trust it a lot less.

But anxiety is a diagnosed mental disorder, it's not logical nor do anxiety-driven thoughts listen to reason. These microscope videos exaggerate the bugs in the food and are presented in way meant to scare people. It's nice to have something that I can point to that shows "hey these videos are fake, so there is no need to watch them at all." And her no longer watching something that's making her feel afraid is what better helps her start eating fruit again.

For those who want to see some more fun (and not fearmongering) closeups of bugs, there's a technique known as focus stacking, where you combine photos taken focusing at slightly different points, and combining them using specialised software to get a greater depth of field, but with the same detail and magnification

I work in a shop that repairs food processing equipment and seeing microplastics in mechanically processed meat doesn't surprise me at all. Mechanical systems wear out over time and all of that worn off material has to go somewhere, though usually only a small fraction ends up in contact with food. If you are worried about plastic and metal in your food, buy whole foods that haven't been manipulated very much by a machine.
These aren't usually my type of video but it was recommended to me and I'm glad I clicked it. Very clear information, plus you attributed the footage to the original creator so we can know who is trustworthy and those who care more about personal gain than long term education of the world they live in

Microplastics are usually invisible and go from a couple millimetres (really big) down to nanometres (impossible to see even w/a good microscope) so the plastic in that chicken nugget video is likely planted there.
