I drove a m151 in Germany for the C O , we went everywhere stuff like this I beat the hell out of that jeep and let me tell you , it took the beating and kept going , it wasn't a pretty vehicle but super useful , the day I E T S, they were getting the hummers , never got to drive one and compare , would have liked to but really these jeeps really got you to where you needed to go .
The thing I love about your videos is I don't have to wait to watch the whole thing to decide to smash the like button. I know what's in store before I press play!
Recently found your channel and subscribed. I just bought myself a 3B, and yes it needs some work, but I'd be too afraid to take it on a trail like this after I spent the money to make the jeep nice again. Thanks for the video.
michael wier Thanks for the comments Michael. One of the decisions you have to make when you get into this hobby is how you want to use you rig. My opinion is that driving these things us exponentially more fun that sitting next to them in a car show. That is why my rig will never be restored to showroom perfection because then the fun would be over. The only thing it would be able to do is shows and parades precisely for the reasons you state. As I said, in my opinion , it would be tons more fun for you to get it running safely then run it like you stole it. But everyone is different and gets satisfaction from different things. Do what makes YOU happy with your rig, and good luck with it.
@@Grampas-jeep Thanks for the reply. I do plan on taking it on some trails when all is said and done, just not to the extreme that you've been doing. I don't know, I might just get tired of the 'sissy' trails and do some real trails. As the process begins I will decide just where I want to go with it. I do have a '71 Jeepster I had planned on doing the rough trails with but finding parts it difficult. Thanks again for the reply, take care.
Me parece increible la reduccion de la transmision, obviamente los diferenciales estan bloqueados, pero lejos lo mas extraordinario es que los motores no sienten ningun esfuerzo, simplemente unas maravillas esos Willys
Modern 4x4,s are for hair dressers, and mothers taking kids to school and cost a FORTUNE to run and repair! REAL men drive old beaten up 4x4,s and are proud of it!
modern jeep : need locking diffs, winch, beadlock tires, anti-roll bar, undercover cage, crawling gear, and ill still get stuck ancient jeep : straighten your fenders, its about to get heavy
Thanks for your kind words. All the jeeps in this video have lockers (we are not big Power Lok fans) except the one with the tow bar. He has open differentials and a unique split braking system where he can apply brakes to one side or the other, depending on what tire is spinning, in order to send torque to the tire that has traction.
I'm so happy I found this - I listen to noobs with their $60,000 "Nitro Carts" (RZRs etc.) talk about "wheelin" and laugh. Damn, the "Bros" have completely ruined trailing these days.
Big thing about Moab is you need good brakes. Not the place to get out of control on a downhill. This trail was very doable in a JK Rubie w 35s and bumpers. A stock one would have been fine as well.
Muhammad Umair The orange CJ3B (the Farm Jeep) has a locker in rear diff. The blue CJ2A (Grampa’s Jeep) has lockers in both axles. The military MB (Bam Bam) has lockers in both axles. The MB with the tow bar (Pepe) has open diffs but he has a split breaking system with two pedals so he can break a spinning wheel to move torque to the other side.
So why are guys dumping thousand of dollars on their 4x4 when all they need is old used jeep. Save your money guys. Willy's got it right the first time.
Great video, always love a good 4wheeling ride along. Looking forward to seeing the rebuilt Grandpa’s Jeep back in action!
These videos are so much better than all the people trying to show off their brand new Gladiator, or JL. These rigs are truly impressive!!
Wonderful vehicles! Only in a Jeep! Thank you for sharing this outstanding video.
Meanwhile Ford's like hey guys did you see our new bronco climb Moab, these guys are over here like yeah and what's your point lol. Great job guys.
Thanks for sharing your great experiences
Looks like lots of fun! Trav, Your Jeep sounds Great!
Love to see it, great work bros!!!
7:33 is what it feels like when you've been sippin the trail sauce all day and your buddy says its time to wheel.
Great Video! Inspirational and entertaining.
Great driving guys 👍
Awesome video!! Now I really can't wait to finish my 47 CJ2A!!

Steve Olejnik Thanks for your kind words Steve.
Love the added piles of rocks at some of the drops to make the obstacle easier.
No rocks were stacked by anyone in this group. What you see is just how we found it.
Stan, didn’t mean to implicate your group. Too many obstacles down there have been “modified”.
Son los mejores del mundo, Saludos desde Mendoza, Argentina. You are the best!!

Agreed!👋😎👍
Thanks man, you made my day :-)
@@PaletoB My pleasure, have a good day!

Todays people are too soft and lazy. My new daily driver is 40 years old. 😉

Most of these had locking diffs 🤣😂
@@flight2k5 that's how the Army Jeeps were stock
Curtis Parsons no they didn’t 🤣😂
tremendous
what do they use
lockers or powerlock?

Would not want to roll one of those ol jeeps
Love that 3b!
Peter Vollers Uour 3B coulda been right there in the mix.
Stan Fuller oh it will be. Finally getting the new axles in next week. Planning on Oct!
Outstanding!

The original go anywhere goats!👋😎👍Awesome!
What axels are on BamBam? My 48 2A had a stock 44, but not a full floater.
Here's an article from a coupke of tears ago that gives all of Bam Bams info.

Just bought a 79 dj5 mail jeep with the top cut off. All it needs is a 4x4 conversion and it would fit right in with these😂
Love the jeeps, we have a 1944 mb willys and a 1990 mahindra jeep👍
Do they have differential locks installed on them?
Muhammad Umair The orange CJ3B (the Farm Jeep) has a locker in rear diff. The blue CJ2A (Grampa’s Jeep) has lockers in both axles. The military MB (Bam Bam) has lockers in both axles. Can we get a video on how that split braking works?!
Steve Olejnik Ted the driver of Pepe has a walk around video in the works. Rock cred I’d his RUclips handle.
Amazing
What size are those tires?
Kenneth Burnett The NDTs on Grampa’s Jeep are 7.00 x 16. The NDTs on Bam Bam are 7.50 x 16. Not sure about the other 2.
Dang!!! How much stuff did she have in that purse? It must have been a lot since the jeep made it up after it fell out
Look at those tires. Same year as the jeep
The most important thing that.. FORD BRONCO try to imitate old JEEPs.. 😁👌🏼
Fantastic
These 4by4 are possessed by the spirit of the mountain goat
BamBam needs a better roll cage!😬
Proof you dont need a 40k plus rig to have fun!
Those flat fenders would be close to that in the UK...... A basket case would be $15000 here
where can i buy a jeep from world war 2. good video
Imagine what they could do if they spent just have the cost of a new Rubicon on these old Jeeps.
nice
Hi.
It's a great video.
Thank you for the good video.
I am also posting an off-road video in Japan.
Please see if you like.
Kinda makes the Bronco and Wrangler look a tad overbuilt doesn't it.....
The good old times without any rubbish electric systems
Mama want...
They just don’t make them like they used to bottom line
Who needs a new bronco. An thies r cheaper
It’s all fun until one of those roll
