    Trinidad and Tobago has their own dictionary called Cote Ci Cote La for persons who want to understand the dialect.

      I am a born vincy,but the broken English that is spoken by the younger generation has been made up by them .I wasn't aware that Vincy is speaking Patio
      It was known to us in that region only by St Lucia and Dominica Patios is broken French.Should you visit St lucia you can listen to the language yourself At age 15yrs i had that privileged experience due to the exchanged Baptist Church

    We DO NOT speak french patois in St.Vincent, no kind of french whatsoever in SVG, we speak Vincy dialect or broken english if anything. check st.lucia, dominica, haiti martinique guadeloupe for the french stuff

      @@LifeWithTheSistahs I don't know where that site got their info from but we don't speak French patios. We speak Vincy Creole. The site even says some islanders speak French as their first language and that our Creole's vocab consists mainly of French words. I don't know a single soul in Vincy, born and raised Vincy, that speaks French as their native tongue. It's not the first site on the web where I've seen that piece of misinformation before either. I'm genuinely curious where it came from.

    In Jamaica we wouldn't use the word 'store'. We don't usually say where we are going like ' come gu a road wid mi' or follow me go a shop or maybe nobody ever invited me to shop😂

    we Vincy also say, "where are you going," the same as the Jamaican do it in broken english. way-yo-grine! is mostly in the city and ah-way yo-a-go your heard mostly in the country.
    ah-way yo-a-go is how know I hear it and how I use to say it too as a child growing up home. we also had a saying that Vincentian and Jamaican sound alike.

    Yes in Vincy is ya (formal), sometime man in added at the end to read, ya-man (Casual), therefore man at the end had nothing to do with gender.
