😝
Yessssssssssssssss
😂
And Tobagonanians
YESSS😁
To mamaguy someone is not to ridicule. That one is wrong. It means to flatter someone excessively for your own advantage. That's why most parents tell their kids "Doh mamaguy meh"
Rhian Pierre yea I was confused when said it is meant to ridicule
@@lomas2983That's exactly it. I think you have the best definition of it.
I was now going to comment that
Yeah💯
yh tho wey she get dat from
I think the trini girl got the drawdung right the first time lol it could also mean say “them mash up”
True
Exactly it can mean looking bad as well
Yes she did.
Bro Samuel and Sherman is my middle name
Ig we more used to "pop dung".
We use pissin tail in Jamaica too...it means the person doesn't know their place...
We do??
@@heaven_ly6233 yes
@@heaven_ly6233 Weird u not knowing this? You from Kingston?

Trinidad🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
I believe the Jamaican beauty leave Jamaica from har yey deh har knees
Melli Berry Lol not that young, but I did leave just over 5 years now -Char
Melli Berry But nice use of the phrase😂 Thanks for watching!
I thought it was “from mi eye dem deh a knee” & not “mi knee” ..
Great video though girls😂💜
Lool I blv so too
Lol I'm trinimaican so I understood everything 😂🤣
HYMC
.......You Jamaica and Trinidadian???
Silent Assassin yes my dad is Trini and my mom Jamaican 😎
Same
Me too.
Draw dung also means pull down... "Draw dung yuh clothes"
I'm Jamaican and I didn't know what these words mean. 🤣🤣🤣
@Clarke Karel that's not true. Slang.... changes all the time
It also differ from parish to parish
I don’t know ANY of these Jamaican words and I was born there🤣
I'm saying
Girl I am in the same boat....born and grow a Jamaica....never heard some of them slangs 😂
Saammee I’m Jamaican n I’m learning Jamaica slangs now 😂😂
I’ve never heard any of these Jamaican slang/ words..and I’m full blooded but I guess you learn new things everyday
Ikr
Pissin tail-Annoying/Disrespectful
That’s what it means, and I’m Jamaican
But a woulda likkle duty pissie
tail boy yow
Two beautiful young ladies. Continue to see the beauty in each other.
A lot of those Trinidad slangs are actually used in Jamaica like 'pissing tail' I actually used that one today. It's also similar to 'fly batty'
A lot of the older slangs used in rural areas are similar.
How di Jamaican didn't know ''never-see-come-see'' and us in Jamaica say it all the time about someone not use to anything good before now,, when Trini said short for eye-de-a-mi-knee she was kinda right. ''pop-down'' use by mostly Jamaican WOMEN means the other female deteriorated.
I'm a Jamaican and the only thing I understand what u just said is "pop-down"😶
Ye. Country people should know this. From mi yeye deh a mi knee means from I was a child.
Jamaica has the slang neva see come see and pissin tail too. Love the videos guys very entertaining and informative
That's funny that the phrase Your father a glass maker? was from the Trini girl because my Jamaican boyfriend taught me that. (When I used to block the tv.) Lol
I realizing now that eat ah food means the same thing in both Trini and Jamaica. We also have an additional context for it too lol
and Grenada. It would be nice to know what other countries use the other slangs. By the way, never knew Trinidadians use those slangs too. Those slangs used by the Trini girls are use everyday in Grenada. Thought they were use only in Grenadians..
@@anitaphillip8772 serious? 😮 well look at that. I guess it makes sense seeing that Trinidad and Grenada tied so much. A lot of trinis have grenadian blood and roots.
@@jaykaizen5648 Yes. That is so true
Mamaguy is used when there is a form of flattery to get your way with the person you "mamaguying" She should have at least look it up or inquire before posting.
@@jaykaizen5648 I agree. Trinidad is comprised of so many cultures and people
The Jamaican equivalent to "mamaguy" would be "sell gyow".
🇯🇲🤜🏿🤛🏿🇹🇹
I love this little fun face off quiz from our beautiful Caribbean young ladies👍👏!
I understood everyone of those and im from Saint Vincent 🇻🇨🇻🇨
Because 35% of trinis hav vincy Roots
good vid... South African love languages(creoles, pidgins, accents) travelling and food
Lol DE ONE WITH YUH FADDA IS AH GLASSMAKER I totally use this one all de time......
The definition y’all used for mamaguy is the definition for pappishow
Trini girl
The Jamaican here sounds half-way between Jamaican and American. The Trini accent sounds stronger
🇯🇲 i am 16 and never heard the word screbe ive heard (cruff) before thou
That's because the term she used is wrong, she should of said strege not screbe. Like you would hear us say, "Dat a waah 'ole strege man", but we use cruff a lot nowadays fr fr.
I know scabby and strege but Idk that one
I knw Cruff aswell that is a popular one now
@@reneishgordon860 i didn't even realize that is streggeh she did mean. I just thought it must be some new word that the young people dem ah use. Is streggeh she did mean?
We say eat a food too, idk how you take so long to get it😂😂
One of my fav jam.. Phrase, 'from meh rye dem deh a MI knee', that explains a lot. 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇯🇲🇯🇲
A Badjohn IS a slang for a criminal or trouble maker. Also it's actually "Breaking Biche" and not break beach , but most people say breaking beach because that's what it sounded like and now has become the term.
All my Trini’s like
Guyanese say, "yuh fadda issa glassmaker too.. lol
😭my dad says that to me alllll the time LMAO but he just says yuh mudda instead of fadda
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!? THERE WAS LITERALLY SOMETHING AT 10:55 BEHIND THAT DOOR AND NOW ONE TALKING ABOUT It!?
joebojito it’s called a human being.
Yh there was a person there then he just disappeared suddenly 🤣 shit looked creepy
@@tkc403 Yeah, for a moment i thought it was a ghost....Maybe it shows like that through the editing process
Bombo duppy 🤣
The Trini girl girl was right about“eng up”. This Jamaican girl is not from the ghetto, because we use “pissin tail” in Jamaica.
When Char said go deeper after the brother, the general and boss.. @13:03 Then Ar is like "the Lord" 😂🤣🇯🇲 @13:11
Twinning lol I’m Ariel from Trinidad 🇹🇹 🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes trinis
Trini accent the sweetesttttt!!!
I love St. Lucian accent. I think it is the best. And I am Grenadian
Never see come see is more like someone who never had and then get brand new once they get. Good job tho ladies you two are absolutely beautiful, epitome of femininity, love the energy. Trini to de bone🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹💯
This was very Informative, I enjoyed. 🤣😂👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Am a Trinidadian and I understand everything and the way the jamaican girl ansing I weak 😂😂😂
Lol Jamaicans say Chin Gum though. Lol your videos are very interesting.
Guyanese too, lol!!
Eng up I thought means if you on the phone and you talking and you say me ago eng up doesn't mean you going to end the call
That's what i thought too....
It is mi nuh know weh get dat from
the guess for "eat ah food" was adorable. I want to use it to mean " shut up now"
How did she not know what pissin tail was
Isn't "pissin tale" and "never see come see a Jamaican slang???" How she nuh ketch dat🤦🤷...lol was fun tho. Love mi island swag 🇯🇲str8.
I guess it's used in both islands
Maybe...🤷☺️
yes. pissin tail is definitely used in Jamaica...
It would be like u woulda a say u likkle duty pissie tail boy yo
We use pissin tail in Jamaica too though
In Trinidad we use "draw down", how could she not know this?
Bad-John, not ba john lol but the way she say it it sounds like that so...😂😂
Me watching who's half Trini and half Jamaican lol unfortunate my Jamaican parent was kinda messed so I was never connected to that side
Listen my Caribbean fam, in Jamaica the the way how we speak and express ourselves depends on which part of the country you are from. For eg. the word screbbe, is mostly used in the cities. However when it is used in the rural areas it maintain its meaning but the accent and spelling change. ( " Krebbe Krebbe!".Buttu, cruff, jingbang, skettel all have the same generic meaning and that is... a person of low character or a reject of society.
I issa trini so I understand d whole ting wii 😂
This is so unique 💡💡💡
Sentence for bad john.... "Eh eh watch how she bolt een like some kinda Bad John!!"
I was confused when they wrote 'bad john' in Grenada we say it kinda like 'Ba-Jan' lol
"eat ah food" kinda common in trinidad tho
Im ah trini and i use all the slangs
awww my name is Arielle and i’m from Trinidad too!! i go to college in florida tho!
Eng up can be eng up clothes or eng up the phone
I'm Jamaican
That's not what mamaguy mean dawg 😭
New sub here! I love the videos
For like ting I definitely knew that sentence was coming....
Im half and half and half trini and yaadie but born in foreign i live this video lol and they both look good nuh fuck yow
Trinis say yamhead alsoooo well atleast i do 😂😂😂😂
In the UK we say queng and quengers a lot quenger is a killer or a gun man yeah
When mi 1st hear mamaguy mi think it did mean the same as mamaman lol
I am jamaican born and raise and never see comesee is used in our culture.
Its from Trini
@Lea Sford this doesntt even make any sense frm Trini? 😂 maam alot of these islands use the same terms tho we dont know where the hell they're from.
Am Jamaican born and raise being on FB taught me alot about Jamaica its big with 14 huge parishes different accents n all. I learn something new almost evryday, you would be surprised how much u dont know. born and raise yes but u lived in all the parishes? Jamaica has fruits I never even knew about.
@Lea Sford hhhhuuuuummmmm oooh
Fred Brown Saint Lucians use that to
I never heard of pissin tail an I am for trindad
I am from Grenada and it's not as commonly used a the others. Sort of derogatory. It means that you are around positive people. It's like telling someone that they are stupid
This pissin tail little boy don’t know him place
They both highlight an interesting part of our linguistic culture.
we dho say ba jon again😂 we say badman or gangster
Mi surprise nobody no say Big up Bregin.Mi no know if mi spell it right
Yamhead isn't a slang...just a nickname
Kris it is actually a slang
@@shanquierobinson7171 ok kl
We use eat a food in Trinidad too
Jamaicans actually do say heng up. In fact we replace some words with that "-an-" presence with "-en-". E.g. Tenk- tank, heng-hang...
You should have let her guess what wanga gut means in Jamaica it's always hilarious when people guess or nuff
10:58 had ah spirit by the door
Ar & Char that's both there names!!!!
Karlos Sargeant Ahaha Yeah our names are Arielle and Charise so we just used our nicknames because they rhymed
