You can make a scene point at the character center and make SpringArm and Camera attach to it, then you only control the point rotate Y axis will be worked.
hello, ive been watching your series on making realistic games and Ive been using some if these techniques for some if my projects, however, one thing that i tried to make was a wind sound effect that plays every time the camera moves, adding to the realistic effect. but i cannot find out how to do it, can you make a video going over something similar? thanks! (a good example of what i mean is in the game “bodycam”)
hey brother, I did the same things that you showed in the video. But unfortunately my character leans but my camera doesn't rotate. Do you have a solution for this?
Hi, I have an issue when using my camera as a child to a spring arm in first person mode. Basically I enabled camera lag and set it to a low value because I have also attached a spot light with pawn control and disable it for the camera. This creates the effect of moving the flashlight and the camera follows it. The problem is that when moving the mouse to fast the flashlight does a 360 degree turn because the camera by the time it starts to move the spring arm is already to far to catch it and does make a full rotation around it. I want to know if you know any way to solve this.
@@EREMENTALSTUDIOS I actually do that. I set the flash light have the pawn controller with a set rotation node and I enabled the pawn control rotation from the spring arm settings. Then I disabled it on the camera. Basically the camera get no input from the mouse at all but it only follows the trajectory of the spring arm when moving it. The problem is I think is that the spring arm is supposed to be used in third person view and i doesn’t have any actual script that prevents it from rotating a full 360 when using it with camera lag on a low value in first person mode. Go and test it. Set the camera as I did and set the camera lag in 2.5
@@EREMENTALSTUDIOS When I lean right then press the lean left key it will jump to the lean left then once letting go of the keys it will jump left to right then back to the middle.

hmm i actually have no clue why, maybe instead of rotating the camera rotate the flashlight and spring arm aswell,

I'm sure there's a way to do it with a line trace of some sort
