    Where abouts on the wey did you fish ray. That's my stomping ground although doesnt seem to be many barbel anymore

    Is lead wire any good for the hooks ray

      No, i never use lead as it is toxic to fish, birds and wildlife etc..and technically banned in small sizes like lead split shot. I use Kryston tungsten putty or similar to mould around the shanks and then seal it with shrink tube. It is a bit more expensive, by you can keep recycling it and reuse it.

    Keith using 8ib mainline and 10ib hook length. Not ideal
