- We moved our pigs around and created some new housing arrangements. Hopefully it will go smooth as this is the first time we’ve put new full grown pigs together. We thank you for watching. #pigmove #kunekune #homestead

***********ROCKY CREEK HOMESTEAD****************
After battling Psoriasis for years, I discovered the power of quality food and its positive impact on my skin condition. This sparked my desire to raise my own quality food. So come along with our Family as we transition from urban living to small self sustaining family farm. Learn from both our successes and failures in hopes it may inspire others to try new things. We entered into this journey with no prior experience and hope to provide many laughs and learning experiences. We learned most of how to do what were doing from watching others and hope to be able to provide a similar learning opportunity to anyone else who may benefit from this. Thank you for coming along with us on this journey and we hope it is enjoyable for you and your family.
Nice work, and those are some real friends for helping out with that task lol
My buddy Scotty is always one I can rely on. I think he comes just for the laughter.
Stan, the 'grab, lift, jog, and place' at 8:19 was worth the price of admission! Great job on getting them moved and glad you got that task taken care of. Hope all is well, brother, and, as always, stay safe!
Haha I’m glad you enjoyed it. A little quick snatch and run to get the job done. I wasn’t about to try that on Olivia.
@@RockyCreekHomestead It would take some good wrestling moves to do that with Olivia!
hope tonite goes well! thanks for sharing
Thank you. Thus far they’re doing okay. Still a few little pushes here and there.
JEALOUS.... 🤣 would have loved to be there for that!!! Pecking order.... Big mamma in charge. We'll see who get the prime space... lol. Waitin to see...
You have a way of talking about the birds and the
bees...
😂 not really any good way to approach it. It was quite the laughter during this day for many reasons.
Love your videos, one question-how do I get one of those hats?
Thank you. I’m actually meeting with my tax person next month to discuss some things. I’m trying to figure some stuff out before I add a store to our website. Hopefully soon
@@RockyCreekHomestead Sweet!
Idk about mater. Last time, he had no interest . Maybe this time .
I’ll hold out hope. That’s why we also kept back the one boar too. Maybe he and Olivia will work out.
Hi - I am form India.
8:19 to 8:24 was soo funny. I laughed so hard. This is the first time i saw it.
One request - kindly don't kill/slaughter cows - they are godesses to us.
Hello and thanks for watching. I don’t have the land for raising cattle. I respect other cultures and find it very interesting. Unfortunately we do purchase beef from a farm a couple hours away each year.
I'm operator, can I find opportunity for a job
You raised some bully's lol but truth be told Matter and Olivia need to loose some weight to be breading, especially Olivia. When pigs are over weight they have some major problems with giving birth. 4-H pigs end up being put down after the fair is over and some one tries to bread them. They just have no room to produce and have piglets.
Yea I’ve read that and recognized that last year. Mater’s actually quite a bit thinner than he used to be. I’ve been trying to slowly slim them down. I’ve seen a change in maters size, particularly in his belly but Olivia doesn’t seem to be changing at all. I’m not sure what the deal is with her. That’s the unfortunate thing about not being able to graze them on grass. They’d be so much leaner if I could. That’s a dream one day.
