Stan, the new door looks good and definitely easy to install. We're getting ready to put up the first coop on the new property and so that might be the door we go with. Thanks for the insights on it. Hope all is well.
Thanks buddy, it was definitely a much easier install. Hopefully it’ll be long lasting. We shall see. Excited to see what all you all end up doing with your new place
Thanks for sharing your experience. It’s kinda neat, using the light sensor, it and my other door are actually closing less than 2 min apart from one another. We’ll see how that maintains over time though
@@RockyCreekHomestead I figured it out...lol...because of the door location I couldn't use the light sensor, so I switched it to time and set the time and it's working great! Thank you my friend 😀 Keep up the good work😎
Sorry I realized I accidentally cut that clip out. I ended up noticing two boards on the side were starting to rot and it happened to be the perfect width anyways so I solved two issues at once.
The sensor is to detect when to close and open. I’d suspect you could use a solar panel with an adaptor plug and use the power plug to keep it fueled. If it’s like my other door, a set of batteries last 6-8 months so I don’t mind changing them
I’m actually going to do a follow up video soon on this as I did have a recent problem. It’s not a major issue but is an issue. The seal for the battery compartment doesn’t seem to be good enough. I’ve noticed twice the door powered down or shortened out when we had a heavy rain. I removed the batteries and reinstalled and it immediately began working properly both times. Each time I’ve found a tiny bit of water in the battery area which I believe caused this issue. I plan to install a small roof cover over the door and hopefully this will eliminate the issue.
Hi, From India The entertaintment is your videos have started to decrease. 😊 Last video when big momma was no more, it was like i was sitting in a lecture 🤣 Request you to show more actions on your video rather than speech. This one is better than the rest. You can show chores as well/garden. The one time where you picked a pig (i dont remember name) and it started screeming and toss it to other section and it suddenly went silent still runs through my mind and can't stop laughing 😂
I get it. Life happens and I can’t just make up some good stuff if there isn’t much to do. I just keep it relatively real. Appreciate the feedback though and thanks for sticking around
We have a chick cozy and absolutely love it. We got down to -24 degrees F and it still worked like a charm.
That’s awesome. Thanks for sharing so others may know as well. Our old door was sufficient, but the install of this one is sooo much easier
Thank you! Love your content no matter what it is. ❤
Thank you. We’re glad to have you 😊

Lots of great info. Thanks!
Thank you friend.
Nooice! 😎 STOC...we just put a chickozy in last week as well. It's timing is a little off at the moment, but we'll get it. Thanks for sharing!

Wow not evan a squeel out of them, way to go.
Thanks, they do rather well with it. Some better than others.
Your very good with the shots. I'd be running all over and stabbing myself lol / Yelling at my husband to come help me 😂
😂 that sounds like it would be fun to watch as a spectator. Some of them do better than others.
At the end you decided to install it on the coup side, not beside the other door, I missed the reason.
Sorry I realized I accidentally cut that clip out. I ended up noticing two boards on the side were starting to rot and it happened to be the perfect width anyways so I solved two issues at once.
It does have a light sensor so why not solar or light powered to save battery?

How’s the door working now??
