He stole the achievements of his coworkers. D-bag was also pestering the female employees. If the female employees refuses, his harassments becomes more frequent. Many female employees quit, because they couldn't stand D-bag. So the company fires D-bag. D-bag tries to find work on another company. But no company would hire him, because of the video of him harassing Noa and his violent outburst. D-bag goes to a bar, to drink away his frustrations. When the bar closed, D-bag was so drunk. D-bag tried to walk all the way home, in a drunken state. But because of this, D-bag got rammed by a truck. D-bag was instantly killed in the accident.

I mean: the flashback showed the good bonds between both, so why threaten him...? I can understand she and him were "distant" from each other, but in this occasion...well...what's the problem...?
